I cannot say enough great things about Hallie Hill. In 2021, I adopted my sweet Flounder, a 6 year old hound, who had been at Hallie Hill for 3 years and even returned due to “behavioral issues”. He has been a God sent and it was very apparent how well taken care of he was. When I first got him, I needed to board him around the holidays and Hallie Hill happily took him in for a few days without question. Hallie Hill has truly been such a blessing to me!

I was in a tight spot with Cocoa, a beautiful dog I loved lots, and my money was cut and life had been real hard, so I had to get her somewhere because I wanted better for her. I wanted to make sure she was in a place where they'd treat her with love and get her to a loving family. I started looking around and found Hallie Hill. Started checking them out and looking at how they functioned and went to give them a shot. Surely enough, it was everything I had hoped for Cocoa. They treated her like their own, and she got adopted! I was so happy and am grateful they did what they could to help me. Thanks a lot, Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary!

We adopted a cat named Boo. The facilities for cats are very good, they are not caged and have plenty of room to roam and exercise. Boo lived here for 6 years, and despite all that she is an incredibly sweet and well mannered cat. These people truly care for their animal charges and it's clear where their priorities are.

They say they have suitable dogs for adoption & then don't. Coming up with every excuse in the world so I couldn't adopt. They selected a few by text & then reneged on their word.I do not recommend at all. !! Save yourself a trip!!

Omg is this a special place and the people who work and volunteer there are such special people. We are adopting a kitten there but there are so many cats and dogs who need homes and they work really hard to socialize them and make them confortable and happy. This is not like an indoor shelter...it's e4 acres where cats and dogs have indoor and outdoor areas to live in, roam and play.

We adopted a sweet little girl last week. The staff were super friendly and listened to what to what we needed. They didn't push any one pet on us, and told us which dogs they didn't believe would suit our needs. Before we picked up Athena, she was given a bath and kept inside. We also got some little things like some food and flea medicine to take home to get us started. Thank you Jennifer and Hallie Hill

This place is simply magical. They give all of these animals a chance to live their lives with the comfort of both in and outdoors, while giving them excellent care. The Hallie Hill team gives these dogs and cats the love they deserve. Almost took several home!

This facility is AMAZING!!! I came here to volunteer and this is hands down the best rescue I have ever been to! The animals are very well cared for and they have so many pups and cats who are looking for their forever homes! Definitely stop by and consider donating your time! You won't regret it! This place is not a general admittance shelter. As a SANCTUARY, Hallie Hill takes in animals that might otherwise be euthanized or have few options for finding a forever home. It is a wonderful place for animals to live out their days if no other home comes along.

This is in response to Zach Reynolds review of Hallie Hill Animal Rescue! Hallie Hill is a wonderful non profit group!! They do a wonderful job of placing animals!! But Zach Reynold & Erin Rose of Salty Paws School for Dogs is another story in itself!!I know Zach Reynolds, the gentleman (And i use that term loosely)....And Erin Rose. Ill spare everyone the long winded review about them! If you want to know the REAL TRUTH about Zach Reynolds & Erin Rose, please contact me! I look forward to exposing them for what they really are! The dog was forcefully taken back & given to its rightful owner because Zach & Erin wanted to stronghold the original owners and steal the dog from these poor people! THE DOG WAS NOT ABANDONED! He was stolen & the owners called the cops and Hallie Hill to retrieve him back to the rightful owners!!! Shame on Erin & Zach!! And all they are worried about is their daughter crying! Hallie Hill is a wonderful sanctuary where you can tell the staff truly cares for animals and treats them with the respect they deserve, regardless of the condition they came in. How wonderful a place like this exists for animals. A no-kill animal rescue located in Hollywood...34 beautiful wooded acres for cats and dogs and the people who run it are absolute saints. Lots of adoptable animals who need a home. There's a really neat charmingly rustic but cozy cabin on the premises that you can rent by the night too. Very peaceful. Amazing property.

My time of volunteering at Hallie Hill is not often, but when I do make the hour-long drive to get to this beautiful facility, I do not want to leave. My time is focused on interacting and photographing the beautiful felines who are fortunate enough to call this location their home. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained, and the animals who reside there enjoy time with staff and volunteers, expansive enclosures, and some of the best care I have seen. It is with no hesitation that I recommend potential adopters or volunteers to check out Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary. The rescued animals and volunteers are fortunate to have this wonderful non-profit as part of their lives. Staff is amazing!

After going to multiple animal shelters throughout South Carolina, Hallie Hill hands down had the best facilities of them all. I was blown away at how well they care for the animals. Before adopting they made sure to call for a reference from a vet and insured that the prospective owners and the dog made a good fit. I would highly recommend anyone who was looking to adopt to go to Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary!

This is the most amazing place. Its not a kennel or a shelter, but a sanctuary for dogs and cats with no homes. Every animals is lovingly cared for by staff and volunteers, with the goal to connect dogs or cats with people who will love them and give them a forever home. They operate on donations and volunteer help. Please check it out in person if you are thinking of adding a pet to your family. Or come and make a donation or volunteer. I am one of the latter two.

Jennifer works very hard at taking care all of the dogs and cats and trying to get them in good homes. Lots of dogs that are older, medical issues or anxiety problems. Some cats are older, but a lot of nice ones. Sometimes there are puppies. They always can use volunteers to help out. Beautiful place.

Very discouraging if you are seeking your fur baby. They make you fill out an application before you can even see the animals. We did. Then they do a background check on ALL your past pets even if they passed over a decade ago. Then they don't reply or process your application over a week still waiting, and they aren't very cordial as you are hoping and wanting to find your baby. I feel sad for the animals as we just felt they were very invasive and snobbish in their communications. We moved on and found our baby elsewhere. Very sad for the animals we are good furbaby parents. How many have missed out because of their 'process'? Just sad. They can claim its for the animals but I disagree as we provide plenty of open information and even willing to have a home check as well as pay a good fee but the initial process is completely discouraging. Just makes me sad for the animals as I am sure I am not the only one who just got tired of it.

If I were a stray animal this is where I'd want to end up. Beautiful place with large clean pins and lots of shade. You can tell the people that run this place really care. The only thing I can't figure out is how my awesome little friend stayed here so long without being adopted but I'm glad he did.

Know who you are dealing with. The kennel manager will lie directly to your face while the woman who backs the place hovers around. They have no idea what they are doing, and are adopting out dogs with serious and expensive aggression and fear issues that need professional training to unsuspecting adopters.Today, they physically stole a dog from a family that loved him and that he loved. Mr Tubbs had been with us for weeks and was so happy here. They lied to us and broke the law, not to mention my daughter's heart.
