Prior to moving to Hilton Head, my boy Handsome Sammy had been groomed at the Bridgewater, NJ location. They were always great with him and provided quality service.While walking Handsome Sammy, he has a tendency to roll around in the grass and leaves, so what the hel*, let him roll and enjoy. A few days ago, it was performing his rolling technique, then started to burrow his head into the ground. Okay, enough and on we went. Arriving at the rental while awaiting close on place here, I noticed this terrible smell. Yep, Handsome Sammy and checked out the area he was rolling around in the day before, and it was where a dead animal and been laying. So, the smell on Handsome Sammy was rotting varmint.The groomers at Petsmart did a great job with his wash and nails. I thought it would take several visits during a couple of weeks time-frame to eliminate the smell, but took care of it the first time. Glad I continued with Petsmart and will return for more Grooming. And yes, we purchased many snacks prior to departing. Back soon.

I would like to give Melody a 10 star review if it all possible. This woman was full of smiles, stopped everything she was doing to help me three different times. Was the only employee I could find in the entire store on a Saturday Afternoon. And was such a joy to be helped by. She's also also easy on the eyes which helps as well, lol. One of the things that we had picked out for my dog was incorrect. I was in Bluffton and stopped by the Bluffton store to return it where I was informed without a receipt and them, not being on the same system they can only give me a store credit. The lady at the cash register was actually scary looking was satanic emblems all over her neck and her ears. After seeing how I should be treated at a Petsmart, it cost me $300 just to walk in the front door, I will never go to the Bluffton store again from now on Melody has made Petsmart on Hilton head my new home store. Now if anybody's reading in corporate, would that make sense for me to drive past the Bluffton store just to go 25 minutes to 30 minutes further to Hilton head because the service is so much better. Fix your Bluffton store maybe Model after the Hilton head store ...Thanks Melody I will definitely be coming back to see you, Mike

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and they could answer all of my questions about the ball python I ended up purchasing. The manager gave me excellent help and even told me I could call and speak to her if I had any questions once we were home with our new pet. I had no trouble getting our new snake to eat and they are very friendly and enjoy being handled. I was nervous about going the pet store route for our first snake, but when I saw this one I knew it was the one we’re supposed to have. Thanks Petsmart Hilton Head!

We had a great experience! I just got a 8month old Goldendoodle who we named Yeti. She had a lot of long hair that was beautiful but to many mats to get out so I opted to shave her and start anew. The staff was so friendly & showed Yeti so much love. Ally did her grooming & did a great job & even gave Yeti her own stuffed Yeti to take home which she loves & is very protective of from our other pups.The staff also helped me make her tag & find a few other big puppy essentials. I definitely would recommend the store, staff, & groomers! Thank you guys!

I found so many great deals. The staff was very helpful. My dog is a border collie weiner dog mix so he is medium but has to get a large to fit his body length. They helped me to pick out the perfect harness.

I was pleasantly surprised by the level and care and knowledge of the salesperson who helped me buy my parakeets. She was an animal lover and had lots of experience with birds of her own. Once I verified that the shelter had no birds to adopt I felt good bringing home bing and bong.

Very nice supply of things nothing against this store particularly but all PetSmarts are kind of on the pricey side if you ask me as far as foods and harnesses and things like that but they usually have great things on the clearance aisle from time to time

Glen at the Hilton Head, SC location was absolutely phenomenal in helping me purchase the correct type and size of post- surgical E collar for my dog. We had just come from picking him up from the Vet after he had ear surgery and he was still quite groggy from anesthesia so I kept him in the car while I went in the store. I needed help from a Sales Associate with sizing . Glen was kind enough to bring 2 sizes of the collar out to the car with me so that we could try them on my dog. He was extremely professional and caring in making sure we had the appropriate fit and covers of the surgical site. I am extremely pleased with this product, as a much more comfortable and sturdy option to the hard plastic E collar provided by the Veterinary Hospital. It's called Calm Paws Behavior Support Caring Collar Premium Soft E collar for Dogs.

I enjoyed my visit with PET Smart staff & fellow owners,all with MASKS in place. Shelves stocked & easy to access. My only concern this visit was the high retail cost for dog harnesses. I was blown away by the average cost of $29.95 for XXS item.

This review is for the grooming department only. I would highly recommend you avoid this grooming department at all costs. I'm from out of town so when I made the appt. I made sure to let them know of my dogs needs. I was told, "no problem we know how to deal with dogs that have a collapsing trachea, we will put the leash around their chest instead of their neck." I felt reassured as this is how our groomer at home deals with it. When I arrived at my appt. the groomer was snippy with me as I was asking for an estimated time of completion. She snapped, "I can't promise you a time frame." I assured her that I didn't need a promise just an estimate as my dogs aren't used to sitting in a cage for long periods. I told her that I would shop around until she was ready for them. While my husband was wondering what we did wrong to upset the lady. I get a call from the grooming department informing me that the groomer doesn't feel comfortable grooming my dog with his medical condition. I told my husband that she was going to do this as we walked the store. It was obvious by her nasty attitude. Keep your babies safe from this place. So much for all the practice hours they are required to do!

I took my 5 month old standard poodle puppy for grooming today. We’re on vacation, so this isn’t our usual groomer. Ally did a fantastic job with him and took her time with him (he’s a puppy). I’m extremely picky about how he’s groomed, and I can honestly say she did a phenomenal job.

They always have everything in stock and everybody that works here is super helpful.They helped me by the best rat food for my little cutie pies. The fact that they are so helpful and really friendly and engage in wonderful conversations about pet rodents sells me on this location every single time. The people that work there love animals and you can tell. It really shows

It's weird not seeing the red and blue logo due to HHIs standard, but the store offers everything the mainland stores offer and in the same price range. Other pet stores have higher prices on the Island.

The store is clean. Employees friendly. Covid procedures in place. My granddaughter wanted to look at the pets, so we walked around. Went to fish tanks and the area where the Humane Society had a set-up. Two cats were waiting for adoption, one was 8 years old the other was 15 years old. It was sad to see them there. My grandaughter wanted to take them home. She loves animals.

Well stocked in supplies and staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. I own fishtanks and always notice there is a couple dead fish either floating in the wall of tanks or more frequently dead bettas in cups. I know the staff tries there best to keep the fish healthy and alive with the minimum they can work with and it is a problem with the actual company Petsmart rather than this specific location.

I have a 5 pound Yorkie and was visiting from up north, so this PetSmart location and staff were an unknown for me. I took Hope ( my Yorkie) there to be groomed two weeks ago, and Vanessa did an outstanding job. The grooming studio was immaculate and the store is following all pandemic protocols. I was pleased with Allie and Vanessa for taking such wonderful care of my baby girl. I would highly recommend that PetSmart location for your fur babies A big Thank you to all of the staff there!

Great help and customer service but make sure you pull up every item from the petsmart website for the store to match the price. Out if 9 items that I purchased, everything was over priced in the store. The biggest difference I had was a gineua pig hay wheel that was 5.79 on the site but 15.99 in the store. Also a grooming kit online was 9.99 but in the store 14.99. Just saying beware. Hilton Head likes to take advantage of the wealthy

Best place to go for my fur baby's dog food and other items I trust! The grooming staff and dog trainers are a huge plus! I've always left there knowing my girl is well taken care of.

Large selection of products for your pets. I especially appreciate the first Saturday opportunity to get samples of dog and cat foods and treats to try as well as coupons. After my dogs and cats evaluate them I'll be back to purchase what they liked best. Prices tend to be high but you can look for sales, and there is a rewards program.

I usually love PetSmart; but not this visit while on vacation. I had 5 items that was bulky to carry and the clerk refused to put them in a bag for me. Hilton Head has apparently banned plastic bags, so only had a very large paper bag. They need to address this because it was embarrassing to carry all this up stairs and through lobbies!

My puppy is 7 months a mini toy Pomeranian, I took him to the groomer and they didn't want to do it because he growls, and also they told me they didnt want him anymore, on the top of that they charged me full price for brushing his teeth and they didn't do it. In a few words they are not professional at all. Can you imagine they can't control a puppy 5 lb. Wow. Anyway never more. Be careful there.

I get my dog, Lizzie groomed here. They did a great job even though she screamed bloody murder when she got her nails clipped. She hates that part of the grooming. (so the the groomer)Conveniently located a block from me, I come here often to just look around.

Groomers put away all of their tools and turn away new customers 30 minutes before they close. We weren’t looking for much, only paw nails cut. Guess we were keeping you from something. Maybe you should change your hours.
