It continues to baffle me why anybody shops in a Dollar General. Like CVS, even items that they advertise as being on sale are terrible prices. People seem to believe that they are getting a good deal going to the store. You're not. Now and again they might carry a more obscure item (which was what I was looking for) but otherwise I avoid these places.

I stopped to get a few things, not realizing they closed at 9 these ladies were great they allowed me to finish up not rushing me but telling me to take my time and all the while doing their work and conversating w me they were awesome and I appreciated it so much thank you ladies

I'm in this store multiple times a week. Cynthia is go, go, go non-stop; unloading, cleaning, stocking, register, you name it. Despite as busy as she always is, especially given staffing woes that are plaguing our are particularly bad, I have never seen her be unkind to anyone. This includes many less than pleasant, even downright hostile folks who are not at all deserving of her kindness. I've often asked how she does it. Once she told me something along the lines of never knowing what a person may be going through. She's incredible with her staff; gentle, but firm and professional when needled. And her encyclopedic knowledge of her store blows my mind. Y'all got a good one there.

I walked up to the counter to checkout and said good morning to the cashier, and got no response. As she started scanning my items she sarcastically said "i wonder where these came from, i was looking for them". I said the were on the sales floor. She then made a snide remark "i bet your going to sell these on the Black Market". I once again said no. She then started telling me that what i was doing was illegal and "you people should be ashamed" and to give her my money. I put the money in her hand she continued about you people this and you people that. I am african american and this cashier is a white woman. I finally got tired of it and asked who are "you people". The older white woman behind me heard and saw the entire thing and told me that was disgusting of the cashier who is also the Store Manager on Hilton Head Island, SC. I asked for my change that she had laying on the counter , she said its in the bag, i pointed to it ans she then tried to drop it in the bag i put my hand under hers to grab my change, and told her i put my money in your hands and would like mine returned the same way. I HAVE NEVER in my life been treated this way. It was disheartening, unsettling, and somethung needs to be done because it is not okay. I will never go to this store again and I am an avid customer of dollar general and have been for years. That store manager who refused to give me her name and stated her district manager wasnt going to do anything needs to be reprimanded. I told her my items were for my home that myself and my children live in, not that its her business. It takes alot to upset me and this was horrible, ive never been treated this way belittled in front of other shoppers, and harrassed, and stereotyped. I will be filing a formal complaint and contacting advisor/lawyer on this situation. As me and the older white woman who was in line behind me stood iutside and she comforted me and reassured me everyine is not like that and it disgusted her as well, the store manager began taking pictures of us and harrassing once again.

This store has been here for years and needs some serious work. A lot of the shelves were empty and things where all over the floor. You have to really walk around 3 different displays at the entrance just to fully walk into the store. At check out, I stood at the register for about 10 minutes waiting on the only cashier to come back inside from smoking her cigarette to cash me out, rudely.

This is a new store but it only took them a couple of months to trash it and make it as disgusting as the one they moved out of a couple of months ago. Also I was looking for a product and asked an employee who totally ignored us then finally a third party stocking her own product showed me where the product was I was looking for.I rather pay more where the store is clean, well stocked and employees are helpful.

This store stays an absolute mess. Merchadise strewn on the floor, empty or messy shelves, or boxes of stock everywhere. I don't think DG pays enough to get and keep hood help. It's a shame because we need a store like DG that is easy to get in out of quickly, but this store is awful.

This DG is cluttered and dark. It did have what we were shopping for, but the atmosphere was ... well ... kind of sad inside. It needs a deep cleaning, air fresheners, and a lot of decluttering.

Had my digital coupon and when hit my total it did not take them off. Lady at register said they were in there but didnt know why they didnt come off. She called manager over and that was the rudest person ever.

All the employees here are friendly and helpful.The only problematic employee is the manager Cynthia who stereotypes and follows around "certain" people 🙄

During the beginning of COVID-19 I went here on a lark because all the other places I normally shop were completely out of TP, paper towels, cleaning supplies and that sort of thing.Miraculously, they had TP and Paper Towels in stock! So I duck into here once in a while to pick up more household supplies & paper products. Being a smaller store, its easier to get in & much faster than a big box retailer or traditional grocery store. That makes it A-ok in my book!

The cashier was very nice and funny. He went out of his way to get a product for us twice. I was on vacation and would go back for the deals and customer service.

It was good the customer service could have been a little bit better but besides that they have most things that you need for low prices and either on sale or just a dollar or less.

I just found out that the Dollar General isn't considered a dollar store. Before this, I was going to complain on how everything was more than a dollar. It's very clean and well stocked. Staff is very friendly.

Good help is hard to find-- lots of unstocked freight in aisles.. manager is far too stressed with little to no help from corporate. Almost depressing to visit.

Signs up saying mask required. Signs are not enforced, so if you want to risk getting covid by all means come on into Dollar General.
