The employee Jess was rude towards my aunt. Poor customer service.She saw my aunt waiting a while and proceeded to walk off and talk to someone instead of doing her job and once the person notified her that someone was waiting she replied "yes i know" rudely and kept talking as if she didn't care to have a customer waiting.She doesn't deserve that position at all. Poor service, overall store is good.

Local Food Lion store in Hemingway. Similar stock to the other locations. Friendly, clean staff, clean public bathrooms, handicap accessible parking/entrances/bathrooms. Motorized buggies available as well. Always fresh produce, and their house branding of products is every bit as good as major brands, I would personally argue many items are BETTER. However... It is one thing to say that your baked goods "contain a bioengineered ingredient," and absolutely another to just tell us. What is it? Soy? Just say so. Until then, bake at home, folks!

Small town grocery story, but it always has the things we need. It stays stocked pretty well and staff is always very nice and courteous. Things can be a bit pricey here but they have a very nice selection of items to choose from.

Way better than Georgetown Food Lion.Update: I stopped by again today for grilling meats, store was stocked, organized, and neat. They had everything on my list...every employee I came in contact with was polite, helpful, asked me if I needed anything, and overall it was a fantastic mood. The cashiers that I had oh, I did not get her name but I no she is cashier 201 oh, she was phenomenal she was so sweet, pleasant, with a great attitude for her job and the customers! Every store in Georgetown County including the Food Lion stores, should take note. These are the ways to treat your customers and not just make them feel like they're being pushed out the door! I recommend even if you have to drive extra to come to this store and enjoy the experience! I would give them 10 stars but still only let me do five

Friendly and helpful staff. Great grocery store and lots of options and lots of value. They always have specials going on. Plus you can use your MVP card and get more deals. Really clean store. They are always willing to open new registers too if they get busy.

Nice and clean store. Associates are nice and helpful. All of the associates had face mask and most of the people practiced social distancing. The also had one way in and one way out. Carts were brought in from the parking lot and a associate cleaned them, very convenient I thought. I would highly recommend this store for your shopping.

Great produce and meat selection plus lots of sales. Always neat and organized with helpful staff. They also have a decent selection of house plants especially around the holidays for those of us who are gardeners.

I love this store. The kids are very outgoing and everyone that interacts with us, from produce to cart pusher, take the time to chat with them. It is the personal interactions that make this store special.

I'm taking the time to write a review about a grocery store two and a half hours from my house. Let that sink in it how much of an impact this was. The staff at this store we're the perfect ratio of helpful and giving give me my space to shop. They also worked together as a team helping each other without yelling complaints. This is the exact opposite experience of what I normally have at a Food Lion. Corporate should probably send there Charleston managers up here to work for a few days just for inspiration.

What can I say? It's the only grocery store in my home town, but let me say. It is ALWAYS clean. Stocked up and the service is friendly.The only things that are in the cons section are the meat prices and hardly any local grown produce.It is located in a central location to the town proper and has several viable businesses around.

R/t the Hemingway, SC location.Pros: Store was clean and organized; variety of *fresh* produce available; friendly/ helpful employees.Cons: Some items were not in stock which is an issue a majority of grocery stores are experiencing due to the Covid-19 pandemic; only 1 open cashier without a bag boy. I'd recommend shopping at this Food Lion location.

Food Lion is our only grocery store in our small town but the management and staff are just great. Shelves are stocked, store is clean, and people are friendly.

I normally go here first for my grocery list. They have the essentials and a variety of foods that aren't at other grocery stores. The meat prices are way too high but everything is going up anyways.
