We took our dog Tyler to Upstate dog kennel for a few days, and though Ty doesn’t like leaving home, the staff did a great job at making him feel comfortable. He was well cared for. They spent time playing with him and treated him like family. The staff were most kind and friendly and gave us an update on how Ty was doing. I highly recommend Upstate for your dog boarding needs, and we will most definitely be using them again.

My baby GSD came back from a puppy three week training session much calmer and easier to handle around distractions. She loves going to play and the location is great for those in the Taylors/Lake Robinson area!

We could not recommend Upstate enough! They were so kind and patient with our pup Charlie. We sent Char to daycare and had such a positive experience we chose Upstate Dog Training & Pet Resort for his boarding stay as well. Charlie was there a little over a week. He went in nervous (he is anxious around people he doesn’t know). The staff at Upstate went above and beyond for this anxious mama and her fur baby. Charlie had a blast, made some new friends and socialized with other pups! He will definitely be coming back to see his friends at Upstate! Thank you guys, you were phenomenal!

Our first boarding experience with Upstate Dog Training and Pet Resort went great! Our dog came back happy and it was nice that a bath on pick-up day was an option. We will definitely take our pup there again in the future!

If you have been struggling to meet your dogs needs at home and do not know where to start- I recommend this place 1000%, super friendly and always there when you need them. Super clean facility and very professional. The training program has turned my 3 year old girl’s entire life around. We got her during Covid and weren’t able to have her properly socialized, from not being confident at all and very reactive to people she didn’t know/house guests and scared/timid of other dogs in the past to finally being able to keep calm and neutral in those now presented situations. She is already a different and even happier dog! If you are having any issues with your dog- do not hesitate to send them here. My dog also has severe separation anxiety and I was worried she would not do well the 3 weeks she was there but she never acted stressed or uncomfortable when we would come pick her up and drop her off!!! Her trainers Baley and Renee were the most patient with her and got her to learn to trust very quickly. Very very pleased!!!

Our dog Duke loved his time here while we were gone for a business trip. He was completely happy when I arrived and wanted to go play more rather than leave! The staff are all super friendly and having a grooming service on site was a huge bonus.

Upstate took such great care of our little guy! We enrolled our Australian Shepherd puppy, Oak, in training here and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Oak’s trainer, John, is fantastic and really improved our puppy’s manners (and gave us the confidence/ability to take Oak on adventures offleash). We couldn’t recommend this place more!

Upstate Dog Training is the very best. The owners, trainers & staff know & love dogs. That shows in every detail of how well business is conducted.We sent our 4 yr. old Aussie, Ollie, for the four week training session. He was a good dog before but rough around the edges. After his stay at Upstate & training sessions with Jon, Ollie came back to us a great dog. We highly recommend Upstate.

We've been using Upstate for getting our boy Buddy, his regular baths for his skin condition as well as boarding. The care Buddy gets at Upstate includes making certain he is getting his medication which includes meds for his heart. It's a family owned and operated business and they show how they care by the clean conditions of the facility and the friendly courteous staff. We've used other boarding facilities but hands down Upstate has been the best.

WOW!!! WHERE DO I START. This was the first time I ever dropped my own dogs off at upstate dog training and pet resort. My mother for 30 years dropped her lab.They off there every time she would go out of town or had something to do and she'd loved it.I called them over and over and over again just to check on my dogs and they would tell me that they were fine. When I went to pick them up that like that didn't wanna come with me.That had so much love there. I would never go anywhere else and I so gonna try to save up some extra money so they can have play time there. The staff was Unreal there, they answered all of my question showed me around the facility.And what they did and how they did it and I was so much impressed. It was very clean. And let me tell you every animal that was there was just chilling. When I picked my puppy dog sets the owners with it to greet me.I was very impressed with that. I had asked for them to have a bath and their nails clipped. And they looked awesome. Their Coats were shiny and they looked happy. And I will never go anywhere else. I definitely recommend this place. It was awesome and the next time I will be able to relax on my vacation. I just couldn't relax because I've never been with that them. But they were definitely and good care.

Louis had the greatest time training with John. He left for his 3-week training with no manners whatsoever and came home every weekend a little better each time. Now, he's a delight to have in the house. He's our second dog to attend training at Upstate Dog Training and Pet Resort and we have never been disappointed. I actually think he enjoyed being there more than being home. Thank you to everyone who played a part in Louis's transformation from devil to "almost-angel."

Our Max stayed here for the first time and it was an excellent experience. We were able to get him bathed and nails trimmed before we picked him up also. Highly recommend!

The staff at Upstate Dog training did an excellent job with my Great Pyrenees, Calypso. She is much more calm and respectful. They were patient and kind and obviously love animals. My dog loved the staff and the feeling was mutual! I would definitely recommend without hesitation!!

Boarded my dog there for the first time recently. I was anxious to find a new place to take him while we were away after his vet stopped boarding animals. He has fear anxiety and difficulty boarding in the past. I sent him with anxiety meds as needed. The owner came out at pick up and said he was wonderful, no problems at all, and they didn’t even have to medicate him. I was impressed with their protocol for handling dogs with behaviors - they’ve thought of everything to make sure the dogs are comfortable. He was happy when I picked him up. I will definitely board him there again!

Moved here from Florida and needed to find a dog kennel for my girls since the closing was delayed by several days. They were quick to accept my girls and the stay was longer than I wanted - no problem extending the time. When I called to check on my dogs they were there to give me a report. I would drive by and see how happy the dogs were playing , that warmed my heart.

They did a great job with a bath and nail trim for our Great Dane. I was a little disappointed that the prices for training had increased by several hundred dollars, so we are holding off on that for now. I am thankful they did not charge me for a full day of boarding because whoever I talked to on the phone had given me misinformation. If you cannot come pick up your dog within 1 hour of completion of service, you get charged for full day daycare which was not explained when I told them at the time of booking I could not come pick up until after school. Thankfully when I picked up they understood and didn't charge me since I had not been told. The facilities were clean and the people were friendly. Our girl had super soft fur after her bath! We will likely use their services again.

This is a wonderful place for your pup. I used them for the first time to board my dog for one night. When we picked him up the next day he was almost reluctant to leave! The facility is clean and has lots of room for pups to run and play. The staff is friendly and genuinely seem to love what they are doing. I will definitely keep bringing my dog here for both day care and boarding.

I can’t say enough about the experience we’ve had since Jax started his training. He hadn’t socialized with other animals until starting here. He would bark and act as if he was trying to lunge, but he never lunged. He did their 3 week obedience training and it helped tremendously. He still barks a little, but that’s normal. He’s made friends and can play with them without being separated by a fence or other barrier. The staff aren’t just there to walk your pet back and forth either. They don’t just stick them in a kennel and wait for them to be picked up. They interact w them. They literally get to know each one of them. They take time to work with them. I know Jax has high anxiety (he’s a rescue) and doesn’t trust a whole lot of people. They’ve built a relationship with him. He trusts them to the point he lets them do his nails (even if it’s one paw a day) and he lets them clean his ears (we’re still working on that) when needed. They’ve also worked with him as far as getting in my car. He’s really come a long way. I feel 100% comfortable when I drop him off. He has gotten to the point where some mornings he will walk in and go straight into their leash to go to the back. When it’s time for him to come home he’s also excited, but what pet isn’t? I’ve seen a drastic change not only in his behavior, but his mood and personality also. I’m going to keep taking him to doggy day camp a few days a week so he can continue playing with his friends. At Upstate Dog Training and Pet Resort, they don’t treat you like a “customer” they treat you and your pet(s) like you’re family. That goes a long way in my opinion. I would recommend them to anyone who’s looking for that type of environment/atmosphere for their pet. Trust me when I say… you’re not going to be disappointed!

I have been taking my dog Winston to this facility for over a year now and I am not disappointed. Every time I ask Winston if he wants to go, he starts dancing around and looking at me like "Mommy lets go"....He loves it there and I feel comfortable leaving him there knowing he will be cared for and spoiled. Yes, I highly recommend both boarding and daycare.....

We adopted a dog last year, which we thought was a lab mix. Oh no, he was a boykin stubborn as all spaniel mix!! Chasey-poo had 2 1-week sessions, one for on the leash and one for off the leash. This stubborn puppy turned into a sweet, more obient dog. He used to just run the second you open the door, and now, with their help and training, he is listening and staying in our yard with us! He loves going there and the staff are always happy to see him! He's stayed at another boarding place and came home very upset, but he's NEVER come home upset from Upstate! Just exhausted!! Wonderful place to get your dog trained, boarded, or daycare!

I have never left a review online until my second poor experience with their boarding services. The first time my French Bulldog ripped his toe nail off, which I was never notified until I asked what happened to him. He also had a large cut on his neck as if he was pulled around by his neck or got into a dog fight. I called and they said they had no idea where it came from. They both came back very sick as well (sneezing up blood), which ended up in a vet bill. I was reassured these things would never happen again; however, the second time was actually worse. I picked up my dogs and they seemed extremely lethargic, no appetite, and sneezing yet again.The day I got them back my Saint Bernard began resting his paw on his face in pain. I immediately checked out the area to find oozing fluid, blood, multiple bite marks, and swelling all over his face. I am not sure how a facility would not call their owner immediately with this type of injury or let alone allow him to continue to play with other dogs after getting his face attacked. I pray they actually let the other owner know in case their dog was injured as well. I will never send my dogs back to a place who clearly doesn’t watch the dogs as they play, does not clean the dogs wounds leading to a clear infection, and does not immediately notify their owners of multiple incidents in a row. I should’ve trusted my gut the first time when they didn’t have any idea why my dog was clearly injured.

My cockapoo Sadie did the 3 week training program and when I picked her up on the first Friday to come home for the weekend, I was amazed at her progress. I had never been able to take a walk with her because of her pulling and switching sides. We went home and walked our neighborhood. She stayed right with me and even sat quietly while I talked with a neighbor! Renee also worked with Sadie on “leave it” with toys, greeting people at the door and staying in place while I fixed her food. I am more than pleased with everyone there. I plan to take Sadie back for some doggie daycare soon. Give them a call!

My dog stayed here for two nights. I wish she could tell me all about it. But from what I can tell, her stay was fine.The intake process was pleasant.We paid extra for outdoor playtime which made me feel a little better about leaving her.They do require — and they do check for vaccinations.I did not reserve in time to get the exit bath — they were already full. So tip: reserve ahead if possible.My only critique: Their pick up times on the weekend weren’t super convenient for us.

Our dog Tank just completed the 3 week in kennel training and we could not be happier- the staff, trainer, and facility were amazing. I had zero concerns while Tank was there and knew that he was being cared for by the absolute best! If you’re considering the in kennel training, please know that is 100% worth the investment!

Our 10 month old Boxer, Ziggy, went to USDT a crazy, jumpy, biting little bad boy and came home 3 weeks later an angel! The transformation is truly amazing. He is so polite and has a sense of self control about himself now. We will take him there for boarding too in the future. Thank you USDT! Oh yeah, he was exhausted too😂
