Review Updated: We just completed our first visit with our Great Dane, Remi. This is the very first grooming appointment we have had where she didn't come from the back looking absolutely terrified! I highly highly recommend this establishment. They were even able to dremel her paws. Every groomer besides this place said she wouldn't let them. I know she wad relaxed because they cracked open the door and she wad just laying on the groomers table just relaxing. I will continue to come here from now on. Highly highly recommend! The staff was so so knowledgeable and friendly....................................... I am writing this a couple months after the 1st review I gave. I wish I could give a review each time I go. The Barkery Bistro is absolutely wonderful! The staff there have always been so welcoming and nice. We care so much for Remi that we don't just leave her with anyone. From the first time we came to the Barkery Bistro to our last visit with them we never worry about Remi, because we know she is in excellent hands!!! The lady that grooms her is so so nice and gentle with her. She is a very very petite person, and Remi is 130 pound Great Dane. I wish Remi listened to us the way she listens to her groomer!! I'm actually quite jealous. Remi hops in the tub for her and hops on the drying table. You can she is just as relaxed as can be. We have taken her other places and she is running to try and leave, but there is something about how they run their shop and their wonderful employees Remi is calm and sniffs around the store. So if you ever need your pup groomed I can't say enough how absolutely wonderful The Barkery Bistro is!!!! They have our business from the first time we took Remi there.!!!! Thank you again Barkery Bistro!!! And keep up the excellent work that you guys do there!!!!!

My girls have been regular customers of The Barkery Bistro for the past year. They are well loved and cared for at each visit and leave smelling amazing! The groomers take extra care to read their behavior and build trust. If there is a service that they really are not agreeable to that day, the groomers don’t press or force them, and that is appropriately communicated to me (namely nail trimming) and we try again the next visit. This has gone a long way with me how this has been handled so professionally. Every staff member we have encountered is always courteous and friendly and extremely professional. The girls love their treats and their bandanas and do love how sweet each staff member greets them. Thank you Barkery staff for providing a wonderful grooming experience for our entire family!

100% recommended. I’ve been a client for over two years. Missy (our groomer) takes care of my two yorkies and when they get groomed they look like they are going to a fashion show (pristine). Mishelle and JJ have done an amazing job with the store, unique inventory of accessories and treats. My girls love the iced cream and the chewy’s. Highly recommended. Another hidden gem in Greenville.

On April 8 we brought our two Yorkies, Chip and Sophie, to The Barkery to be groomed. The staff is very friendly. We showed them the type of cut we wanted for Chip from a photograph. They worked very quickly, for I barely made it home when the called to pick them up. Honestly, Sophie looked great, but Chip, the male, came out far below standard. It looks nothing like the puppy cut that we showed her in the photograph. Too much hair was taken from his face to the point where he doesn’t look like a Yorkie anymore. In view of this, we’ll have to continue our search for a groomer that knows how to do a puppy cut properly.

I have been bringing my dogs here for a while now and have never been disappointed! I can tell that they love my dogs and take care of them like they were their own. When I pick them up, they seem as though they have had a good time and have been in great care, and I don’t doubt it for a second. Every groomer has gone above and beyond, the store is always clean, offers great products, and the staff is always smiling and kind. If you are looking for a groomer look no further, because this is the place to go!

I first visited about two weeks ago and felt that Cassie and I were so welcome. They did a quick nail trim on her that day and she didn’t have any issues with the groomer or the service ( she doesn’t like her feet touched usually). I felt the experience was so great I scheduled a groom for her this week. Abby and JJ were wonderful! They greeted Cassie like she was a regular and took great care with her making sure she was comfortable before taking her to the back. Two hours later she came out all smiles and after greeting me she went back to Abbie to tell her bye. While Cassie was cuddling with JJ; Abbie gave me a full report on how she did and best of all Cassie looked wonderful. She now has a season appropriate haircut and just in time to be in a wedding. I added a before and after picture. In the after we’re are back in the car so she’s a little tired. Great staff and great grooming! Cassie loved her time with them and the treats she came home with🤣😂. Can’t wait till we get to come back!

I loved this place until I got my dog groomed there. $100 groom, brand new chest led harness somehow inexplicably destroyed, one foot completely untouched but no comments from groomer. She was only there two hours. Everyone seemed oblivious and shocked. The manager said she wasn't even in her harness long enough to have chewed it either which I believe because she wasn't there long and she's a long haired dog - I know how long the drying takes. Her claws were done well. But the harness, if on her, had to take 3 different cuts to get off. No groomer would wreck their shears like this. The harness had 4 clips that were very obvious and it wasn't too tight. I feel this was some act of malice, the harness was off the dog when it was done, and it was done to slight the groomer or maybe the manager, idk. What I do know is the more I question what happened, the more I don't want to go back. The manager gave me another harness, but that doesn't exactly compare to my old one and it felt like the bare minimum. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was too much for me to not say something.

So glad we found The Barkery Bistro for our grooming needs. Our WPG, Murphy can be quite nervous and has historically struggled with nail trims at the vets office, but they somehow make her feel comfortable and cared for at The Barkery Bistro! So nice to have a solution that the whole family can be happy with.

They have a HUGE selection of treats! Barkley always runs straight to the Cookie Bar. They have everything from collars, bandanas, harnesses, dog food, grooming, unique bakery items & grooming! I am so grateful for Sam! I have tried so many groomers that didn’t work out and refused to bathe him the second he showed aggression. Which I know is scary when dealing with a big dog. But Sam did not give up on him and was able to win his trust and give him a good bath! Everyone was super understanding and friendly. We will definitely be back!

My dog and I love The Barkery Bistro! It’s the only place we go for our grooming needs. One of the things I love is they try to pair your animal with someone who has worked with them before to increase comfort. They are all so sweet to him and after each appointment, he leaves with a bandana or tie and a bag mini bag of treats complimentary of the center. Further, you can get so many great items for your baby when there. Hercules loves the natural treat options (tracheas, ears, hoofs, hearts, beans, and more) and they also have a little pet bakery for all celebrating needs! They have little cakes, cookies, and sweets specifically for animals. The store also has toys, snuffle mats, leashes, collars, and more. It’s a great stop for any of your pet needs.

The Barkery Bistro is great! Highly recommend. We have a very timid puppy with other people and Sam and staff is nothing but incredible. His haircut is always perfect (doodle cut) and they are always so friendly with our pup and us! We won’t go anywhere else!

I have been bringing my goldendoodle here for months now and I have to say Faith is wonderful and the customer service is always great! My dog is not little by any means and gets excited in the store, which can be a bit much, but he is always calm and relaxed when he leaves from getting groomed! Faith grooms him perfectly every single time! For a high maintenance 70 lb goldendoodle, I think the price I pay is well worth it. You get what you pay for. The store is cute as well and has nice treats and adorable bandanas for your fur baby as well.

This place is absolutely the best. They have awesome handmade dog cookies, cupcakes, and treats. This place has an excellent selection of dog stuff for giant dogs. Most importantly, they take great care of my babies when they come in for a spa day. Giant dogs are expensive to groom. This place is worth every dime.

This place is so good!!!! My pup, Vixey, struggles with severe anxiety and can get a little nippy when getting groomed. But they handled her so well and were so so sweet and understanding!!! They did such an amazing job!!!!

This was my first visit as I just moved to Greenville. I have a 13 year old LH Chihuahua and was a little nervous going to a new grooming salon. Georgia was my groomer and she was so sweet to spend some extra time to find out all about Penelope and how I wanted her groomed. I felt confident that she would be treated well when I left and that she was in good hands. Allison, at the front desk called me when she was ready and let me know all went well. When I picked her up, Georgia brought her out to me and Penelope looked absolutely perfect I knew then that Georgia listened carefully. But most importantly, Penelope came out a happy old lady with her tail up! This is a great grooming facility and they certainly care about their furry clients!! I took my dog Steven into The Barkery Bistro for a nail trim. They did such a great job! Especially because he's such a fraidy-dog when it comes to clipping his nails. They also helped me find the perfect sized harness for him and let him try them on before I bought one. (Plus, Steven also loves their dog treats!)
