The groomer quoted me $69 on the phone. I come back to pick my dog up and the price is all of a sudden $73 + $10 brush out fee + $6 tools fee = $89. That is $20 more than the quote. His excuse was, "we charge everyone those fees" but never bothered to tell me. I feel like this was a bait and switch to get your service. Also, they mention they clean your dog's ears but didn't do that. His excuse was, "we only do it if you tell us to." I am obviously wanting my dog to be groomed and that is included so I am confused as to why they don't do it or even ask me if I would like it done. Furthermore, someone at home put the e-collar on the dog, which I didn't realize cause it was hidden in the hair. They forgot to give back the e-collar which is understandable but what frustrates me is that they never called me to tell me they had it. I spent an hour looking everywhere for it until I figured out that it must be at Petco. Look somewhere else for grooming.

I almost gave this place a 1 star.. until I met Chris… he seemed busy.. but because I guess he saw the confused look on my face trying to find my future pet he stopped to talk to us! He was very informative.. there was another guy there that was bigger and he was rude and standoffish.. he didn’t want to help me with anything.. and even directed me rudely down the wrong aisle for something I was looking for… Chris was walking by an aisle I was in after a second store personal quickly assisted me to an aisle and left us.. and Chris stopped and took the time to answer and educate us on the animals in that aisle! I was so grateful! GIVE CHRIS A RAISE!

Had a great visit here looking for a crate for our dog, Thomas was very professional, helped us out and price matched their online price for us! There is everything you need here for all of your pets, I like to bring my dogs here to get their nails trimmed here! Make sure you stop by and check them out!

First of all, the entire store had pallets of inventory blocking almost every aisle during this week's visit. Not one stock person offered to move anything for me or asked if I would like some help, not even when they saw me crawling over a pallet of dog food. The cashier was just as rude as the stock team, and couldn't even be bothered to say hello or make eye contact with me when I asked for help at the checkout counter. She literally seemed genuinely annoyed that she had to stop stocking her display to ring up my order. Don't worry, she was not unlike the other cashiers that had been on shift during my previous 2 visits, so I'm guessing being rude to customers must be a corporate "thing" taught during orientation? That being said, the worst part of my visit occurred at the point I was asked if I wanted my items bagged. What? How else was I supposed to carry out about 60 cans of premium cat food along with top of the line dog food kibble and freeze-dried toppers and treats? At that point I was told there would be a $.10/bag charge added to my bill. Are you guys freaking kidding me? That's gotta be just about the fastest way I can think of to lose a customer. We have 5 cats, a large breed dog, and I'm always buying addt'l pet foods for some kind of shelter or animal rescue. Well, I hope you all enjoy congratulating yourselves for the tremendous cost savings from using fewer store bags. Don't worry about whether or not I'm going to be buying your bags anytime in the near future, as you definitely won't be enjoying one more purchase from me. I'll order our dog food directly from Honest Kitchen and I'll be driving down the road to Hollywood Feed for all of our canned cat food, dry cat food, freeze-dried cat treats, gently cooked premium dog food, freeze-dried dog food, joint supplements, vitamins, and treats. It's a real bummer that corp decided to let someone convince them to tank customer service like this. There were several other ways this could've been approached, besides having your employees tell customers "it was in a memo from corporate". If I wanted to bag my own pet food, I'd shop at ALDIs. Bad decision, guys.

The store was clean. However I walked about for over 30 minutes without a single employee asking if I needed any help. There was also a dead betta who had been there for quite some time as his water was very gross and he was partially decayed. Definitely not a store I’d like to visit again.

Groomer - Kay did an excellent good with our Cocker Spaniel. Cheesey boy came home bright, clean and smelled amazing! Kay is always so helpful and friendly. It's reassuring to have someone we can trust with our puppy.

I was highly disappointed in the attitude of the cashier at the front. She has red hair and bangs not sure her name but she was super rude when i was buying over $200 worth of Aquarium supplies. She bit my head off saying she couldn’t sale me any fish and that her fish guy was on break so it would be another 20 minutes. I understand if there was a reason i couldn’t buy this fish the same day i was getting the aquarium but the way she spoke to me was super unprofessional and rude as can be. There was a million other ways she could have explained to me why i couldn’t get them. All that to say i won’t waste my money there again. Sorry another Costumer was giving you a hard time, but she had no reason to be so rude. Good luck to this store. Never will i be back because of her. Don’t even want to give this place one star. So awful.

I only go to this location because it is close to where I live. Every single time I go into this location something happens. There typically is not enough employees, so there is usually never someone up by the register, which makes checking out horrid. Today I had an employee, emma, who took other guests in front of me(I was waiting in line for 8 minutes with no one at the register before she took two guests in front of me.) and then when I got up there she mentioned that she could’ve just rung me up for my purchase instead of having others go in front. Then she went to go get my purchase and counted each little cricket out. I’ve never had a petco or Petsmart employee count the exact number of little crickets out. Typically they throw some in there and I usually get five+ more, which makes it easier for my pet. It’s already overpriced to buy crickets, so employees who put more than usual make the price worth it. This is not a big deal, but it’s annoying to keep having issues with this location.

We got our bearded dragon from this store. Noticed it wasn’t acting like any beardie I ever had before. Took it to the vet ASAP and found out due to the malnutrition petco provided there was list of things wrong with our dragon. I know I could have took the dragon back but it isn’t about money. I spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix him. I feel bad for him and the other animals there.

The groomers work so well with both my big dog and my little one. It’s wonderful to know when I bring them in they will be getting showered with love as well as groomed. They offer great advice on food and are willing to go the extra mile to help you (like looking in a huge box in the back for a pink Doggy Parton jacket).

My husband was in the store today to buy fish among other things. He asked for help 3 times, and help never came. He waited for 20 minutes, then asked to speak to a manager but the person he had been asking for help was the manager Jenny. She stood in the front conversing with other employees never helping my husband who left empty-handed. Her unwillingness to help a customer was totally bad customer service and to not get anyone else to help is inexcusable. We will never go there again because of her actionsOr should I say her lack of action. Petco needs adults to manage their stores not little girls.

Kelby at Petco on Woodruff Rd is amazing. He is welcoming, kind & patient. He listens to your needs & notices what your pet needs & he takes proper actions. At 1st my poodle was turned away from 3 different groomers & I was told I need to pay extra & schedule her for VIP services for them to be able to groom her. I met Kelby on our fourth attempt & I explained to him what was told to me & I begged him to groom her fully no matter the cost. Kelby told me he'll take care of her. When I returned to pick her up. He explained to me what he noticed with her & provided suggestion on the best actions to take for her so future appointments would be a better experience for her. She went from 4-5hr grooming sessions down to 2hr session since Kelby has begun grooming her. She's so excited to she Kelby when we arrive. I'm grateful that we met Kelby & he's now apart of our family. Thank you Kelby for taking the necessary time with Knowledge instead of turning her away & labeling her as a problem.

Fish section is clean and well cared for. I was there to look at coral frags and got side tracked looking at some discus. I haven't seen an actual discus in years these looked great. I left with a moonstone brain coral frag.

I was extremely upset that the cat display area was over in a dark corner with no foot traffic or lighting. I’ve been in there several times and never knew there were cats over there. My husband discovered that area because he was trying to get “his steps in” while waiting for me. He was also disturbed about that low visibility area and saddened. He saw a cat there a week ago and I wanted to assure him it was no longer there. He would not go in because of that sad dark out of the way area the cats are housed. I went back there and actually started crying because it was so out of the way and dark. There was a cat just sitting in there with nothing to look at……..nothing. (Grooming area closed and cordoned off). It was disturbing. Horrible. I’ve been in other pet stores where the cats are visible, well lit, and inviting.Also I signed up in the store to be a vital member to get the 10% discount for buying more than 10 cat food cans. The cashier didn’t seem to know much about it and said that’s only for “premier”. I ended up taking her and the manager back to the cat food isle to show her. That particular isle was also blocked by merchandise so I had to go down another isle and up the other side. I had a cart that I couldn’t get through.

Josh and Kelsey are AMAZING! They are truly the reason I come back to this store and will continue to shop here over Petsmart. They genuinely care about the animals, and it shows. When my little hamsters got wet tail they “refunded” them since I only had them for a week, and took them back to get the proper care they needed. They also let me know when they were healthy again if I wanted to re-adopt them (which I most definitely did). They were patient with all my inquiries about the hamsters and their well-being, and were so kind throughout the whole process. I am so thankful they took care of them and that they treat them like pets and not just an item. I know hamsters are cheap pets, but it made me really happy to know that the cost of the pet doesn’t matter to the company and that you will do right by them regardless. I really respect the ethics behind that. Petsmart does not care for their animals like you all do, and the policies you have in place to care for the animals are superior to Petsmart’s (but that’s another story). Regardless, I just wanted to say thank you Petco for hiring wonderful people like Josh and Kelsey (all of your employees at that store are wonderful, but Josh and Kelsey really take the cake). Josh and Kelsey are the reason I come back and why I’ve bought 4 hamsters, 3 large glass tanks, as well as food, toys, bowls, bedding, etc. Because of them you’ve gained a forever customer, and I will continue to tell people about how great Petco is!

Prices are good but the girl who’s primarily there is super rude. She always has a negative attitude. I will start going back to Petsmart. I’d rather send my $200 a week elsewhere. At least they keep stuff in stock at Petsmart.Update…. Roger helped me today and he was pleasantly easy to talk too. He cut up with me and offered a cold bag for the refrigerated food. I didn’t even know they had those. Hold on to him PetCo! He’s a special employee. Another employer could snatch him up.

The staff, especially, Kelby Mccoy were very professinal, kind and so courteous. They trimmed our Oreo nails and also bathed him. He is a dog which is very fussy with us but not with him. I highly recommend them to everyone. 5 stars.

I’ve been taking my dog to Petco for grooming for years. She’s always been on some sort of calming meds when I take her due to anxiety. Today my dog had a grooming appt at 9:15. I am 8.5 months pregnant. I loaded up my 18 month old son and my dog and got to the grooming appt early just to be told they no longer allow grooming of dogs with ANY kind of calming medication in their system. I’d be a lot less angry/frustrated if they would’ve told me this BEFORE I came all the way there. They send plenty of confirmation emails and texts. They easily could’ve included this information.

The staff at this petco are amazing. They are all super friendly and very helpful no matter what you need. They are also very passionate about their own pets and animal care in general.I fully recommend this team for all your pet needs.

I would give this location zero stars if I could. Call to check stock on some food and was told by the store clerk that they didn’t have any. I know that they carry it because I’ve bought it there before so I politely asked if they could call me when they get this item back in stock. The clerk proceeded to tell me know that they don’t do that and then I would need to call back a few days. I told her that I felt that was for customer service and I asked to speak to a manager. At that point, she told me that she was one of the managers and that she’s sorry that I was disappointed but it’s their store policy that they don’t call people back when an item comes into stock.Stupidest thing I ever heard of. I guess I’ll shop elsewhere.And if any of Petco senior management happens to read this, I would strongly suggest that you not only review your policies for teacher managers, some customer service skills as well!!
