Pretty good selection and prices are average. Customer service is practically non existent at this location. I was prepared to make a pretty large purchase in about 5 minutes but got zero customer service over half an hour. Order online or go somewhere else. I cannot recommend this location.

Staff are great. They stayed with me through any questions I had about my dog food. When I said " I'm afraid my dog won't like these new treats", the girl said if my dog won't eat them then after the first couple to seal them up and bring them back because your dog is actually our customer.

Everything was pretty easy to find. Staff was very eager to assist and locate and made you feel right at home and not like you were bothering them... I would highly recommend a visit to this store.

Recently bought a Bearded Dragon and supplies from this location. The staff has been extremely helpful with my decisions towards equipment and food. The store is well laid out and has all of the supplies we currently need.

Jenny was extremely helpful. She answered any, and all, of our questions. There were many. She explained the many advantages with the vital care premium. We appreciate her for our recent visit but also knowing that we can expect such great service in the future. She obviously cares about animals and we so like that. Employees like Jenny deserve their kudos. Thank you Jenny!

I went there to buy some small fish, but the guy with shoulder length dark hair was so rude. I've been there on several occasions but having to deal with this guy nope I will never shop there again.

Have nothing good to say about the company in whole corporate level. Don't sign up for vital care. They will charge you multiple times in one month then when you try and cancel they keep charging your account and they are really hard to deal with over the phone to cancel and try and get a refund. They charged us 3 times in one month on one account. When we tried to cancel we went to the cherrydale location and talked with the manager he was great and tried to talk too corporate while we were standing there listening and even he got the run around trying to help us but he himself had to argue with customer service in Sanfrancisco. Will not be giving them anymore of our business.WORD TO THE WISE DONT SIGN UP FOR ANY SERVICE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Horrible! They didn't want to get our dog to wash even if it was scheculed. The attendant said the guy who was in charge of doing it, got sick and she couldn't do anything to help. I'll never come back to a place like this with this kind of service.

Absolutely horrible grooming. I asked for a sani TRIM, and they shaved my dog's entire rear to the skin, leaving chunks of uneven fur along the way. It literally hurts to look at. Apparently no one there knows how to groom a double coated dog, either, because she came back with a tangled undercoat. I complained and the groomer said, "Well, I had 5 other dogs to get to." I just turned around and left. I'll be complaining to corporate.

Terrible grooming job. They took all the feathers off my golden and it was uneven from the left to the right leg. Ears were very choppy and uneven. I asked just for a sanitary cut. Don’t go there for grooming a golden! Also customer service was terrible waiting for 15 mins for someone to go in the back and get my dog.

As a reptile owner, this isn't the place for me. Every time I buy crickets from here, they put them out in bags and let them sit for HOURS. they end up dieing. If your a dog/cat owner they have a good bit of selection, but sometimes the employees are to busy to help you. Pet supermarket is better lol. It's right across the street.

Some of the fish tanks didn't appear to be labeled accurately, and the cashier seemed like she didn't want to be there, but otherwise it was a good store. Clean and well-organized.

Lost a client for life here. I was actually grilled about the living conditions I was taking my beta fish home to. What size tank? Do I have a heater? What?! They keep them in little cups for who knows how long! I went to a local , non- big box store. Bought my fish from a local reef store that kept him in a tank all his own! THEY now have a client for life with me. AK

Grooming took 5 hours!! At check-in, I was told to expect 3.5-4 (which I thought seemed like a lot?), but when I returned after 4 hours to check in, our groomer was out to lunch. Waited for them to get back, and then told it would be another hour. The groom was very well done, but I would have planned my day better had I known. Just a heads up!

I had a great experience today! I came today to get a guinea pig. (One of mine, part of a bonded pair, passed away) I came to get a companion for one I already have. I found out that they actually had a baby that was surrendered. I was so happy to be able to adopt one that needed a new home! The woman (Ayla) who helped me was so nice and very knowledgeable!

Far better than Petsmart, the people here are so nice. Thomas helped us over the Christmas holiday weekend and my family fell in love with! He was so helpful answered all our questions about fish and bearded dragon. Spent about 20 minutes with us and never once did we feel rushed even though he was in the middle of an inventory task when we needed assistance.

My dogs brand of dog food was discontinued at the store level. The suggestion was to order online and set up repeat delivery. The food he tolerates is out of stock online and would take 3 to 5 days to ship to me if it was in stock. I located the food elsewhere so we are set. I called Petco customer service to inactivate my Vital Care Premier since they will no longer carry the brand food locally. APPARENTLY YOU ARE LOCKED IN FOR A ENTIRE YEAR (shame on me for not reading the fine print!) This was not what the sales person stated when signing up. I was told I could terminate if I didn't see the value (9/2022). ALSO THE COMPANY PLACES YOU ON AUTO ENROLL. I was automatically enrolled in September! So I am paying $21.19 a month for another year. Buyer beware.

This Petco is 30 minutes away from my home, and it is completely worth the drive. They have the biggest variety of bird supplies than any other stores. I went to this location to get food for my two cockatiels at home and I happened to walk past a blue quaker parrot that was anxiously walking in his cage. When my partner and I approached the cage he was so sweet and playful. The staff were very helpful and gave me the quaker's information and backstory. We couldn't be more grateful for how kind and helpful the staff were in this adoption process. I am highly satisfied and happy with our new member of the family, Loki!

Found the dog food area very congested. And small signs trying to locate puppy food are horrible. Realize my store just isn’t large enough for so many choices. Work on your signs to locate what I need.

The bald guy that works there. I have ran into him several times and asked for assistance regarding several different things. Whether it be price checking do you have an item in stock regarding crickets and he just basically ignores me. I went the other day and waited over 20 minutes to try and get one singular fish and ended up just leaving because the wait was just excessively long( only one individual ahead of me).He continued to have a conversation about something completely unrelated

The groomer manager was very rude. they treated me and my yorkie very badly. They told me that the appointment that I booked online was not an available appointment for the service I booked after they had confirmed the appointment with me via email and text. They made me move the appointment up and then after I had to pay someone to bring her earlier when I came to get her hours later she was not done and they were very rude about it. They then preceded to tell me they did not ask me to bring her in earlier and I have a voicemail proving that they did. Then he refused to complete her grooming when I asked them to accommodate me for the inconvenience of it all by taking off a percentage of the service. He said he would not give me anything and yelled across the store to the groomer that was working on her to stop and that they would not touch my baby and I could leave. I had to get the store manager Jenny involved and she witnessed this all and agreed to refund me totally. I would like to speak to someone in corporate about this experience. This was our first time booking and I will NEVER return!
