Amazing store! The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They have healthy saltwater and freshwater livestock and a great variety of both. And their pricing is much lower than what I expected given their quality! I purchased 5 bangaii cardinalfish, 2 clownfish, and 1 black brittle sea star. All of them acclimated well and are enjoying the tank. Will definitely visit again and tell others!

I love this place. The service is top notch. The store itself is just WOW! We're beginners with a pet hermit from the sea and walked in there completely lost and they gave us information and how to get started without feeling like a complete bother. We ended up there back to back actually- and both times were beyond great!

EDIT: Made a recent trip to Ocean's Floor and loaded up! The hardest part of going there is not taking all the fish home! The store is beautiful and clean! Out of 30 fish I bought (yes, I know I have an addiction 😂), I had one tiny fish die, and he didn't die so much as become lunch for a bigger tank mate. The fish are healthy and I've.never had a problem like from those other places. Great job Ocean's Floor!Friendly staff and a great assortment of fish and plants. Fresh and salt water.

Ocean’s floor is easily one of the best tropical fish stores I’ve visited. The store just appears to be well kept.The livestock are exceptionally healthy due to the excellent water quality they are kept in. There’s a great selection of corals, live plants, and fish. The prices are fair as well. I highly recommend this store.

A lot of quality options and the employees are very helpful/knowledgeable. Much better than your basic Petco/petsmart fish options, not really even a comparison. If you’re looking for high quality and knowledge in the aquarium world, this is your place in Greenville.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable, they will answer any questions. They will Test your aquarium water free and walk you through how to fix any imbalances. Cleanest tanks, most colorful and vibrant fish I have ever seen.Definitely the top notch best in field aquarium specialist anywhere around.

I have been buying fish and corals from the team at oceans floor for years. They have consistently given me good advice and sold me quality livestock. If they dont have it they can order it.The store and tanks are clean.customer service is great. They have by far the best selection of fresh and saltwater fish/corals in the upstate.When I purchased my last tank, we signed up for them to do the service. They do a really good job with that too.Its really nice in 2019 to see a successfully run family business.

Pretty expensive and missing saltwater hobby basics like cycled live rock.Edit: every store in Charlotte and bigger cities offer small chunks of live rock they’ve cycled in their system to help start a new tank. This method is far superior to single-strain bacteria from bottles, and results in a larger diversity of bacteria that also help with phosphates, etc. Dry rock and pre-seeded rock will work, but it is far less effective and results in a more brittle ecosystem. Adding a small chunk of live rock from an established tank is the #1 recommended way to jump start a new tank, even with all the modern chemicals.

The staff here are great. We are always greeted immediately, and they seem genuinely eager to share their knowledge. In particular the very young lady that works here (her name escapes me atm). She helped us pick out a new tank with all the fixins - Very happy with her suggestions.They have an excellent selection for both saltwater and freshwater setups. Fantastic advice, support and water tests anytime I’ve had an issue. Our freshwater community tank is beautiful and thriving thanks to Ocean’s Floor.

A little over a month ago, one of my ex-coworkers pointed me towards this store when I was considering setting up a saltwater tank. I was absolutely floored when I walked in for the first time!! It was like walking into an aquarium!I was not expecting all of the freshwater fish!! I knew they had saltwater but I was blown away by their inventory! My parents (who bought me my tank supplies as a 21st birthday gift:)) and I spent 45 minutes just looking in awe at everything.I’m not sure of the gentleman’s name, but one of the guys was really helpful in showing us what we would need to set up this tank with. He also helped me in getting some plants for one of my freshwater tanks (which is doing amazing by the way). I also had another friendly person help with refilling my saltwater jugs (they sell their own premixed water, which I absolutely love).Overall, I’ve had really fun and awesome experiences in this store. I’m definitely going to be considering myself a regular here soon. 😂 Highly recommend this store!!Also—I love their clownfish selection.

Back in December of 2020 we started our journey with Ocean’s Floor and haven’t turned back! We have a 112 gallon salt tank and all staff has helped us endlessly to make sure we are taken care of and our tank and fish stay in the best condition! Mike and Clemmons really know their stuff and we constantly turn to them for advice! Ocean’s Floor feels like family vs just a fish store!

A very educated and helpful staff, beautiful store. I was a big customer and started replacing all my fish equipment with pieces from their store. But when i had trouble with a substrate they recommended to me (onyx sand), they refused to replace it because I'd opened the package.My issue was that my original substrate was causing gh and ph spikes, so i converted to the onyx and humate. The gh and ph continued to spike (300ppm and 8.0 respectively) and cause issues to my betta (Popeye/cloudy eye and ich), so after a few weeks experimentation i found that it was the onyx sand causing it. So i tore up my tank, rinsed it thoroughly (i hadn't pre-rinsed the substrate prior to this) and put my 7.5g tank back together.The first 2 days my ph was a constant 7, my betta was thriving. Then my betta started showing signs of stress and i found that my ph was a 7.8. Peat granules had been completely ineffective throughout this process because the buffering capacity, advertised as a .1-.5, is greater than any of my live plants, wood, Indian almond leaves, and peat can keep up with.But i opened the bags and used the substrates, so i don't qualify for an exchange. Thanks guys
