They took great care of my puppy. They also spayed, vaccinated, trimmed her nails for a very reasonable price. Clear instructions and medication were also given by very nice and knowledgeable personnel.

Truly love this place! Very kind and considerate staff. The current staff seems very knowledgeable about the facility and they still are very active in the community. God bless them and thank you St Francis for helping me setup volunteer opportunities over the years...it's been very rewarding!!!

We have a fospice from St Frances Animal Center. We have to. ring her in every 2 weeks. The love and care they show her and us is amazing. Great group of people who truly care about animals. 🐾🐶. Everyone is always smiling and happy!

They took care of my mom's 3 pups when she was in an accident. We couldn't get there in time to get the pups, and we were so worried about then but they were well taken care of. The facility obviously needs more funding but you can tell they do the best with what they have.

The best rescue around!! I adopted a kitten from them about a year ago and she is the perfect addition to our family (pictured below). She is my best friend and my dog loves her as well. St. Frances is such a caring rescue that truly wants the best for their animals. I could go on for ages about how wonderful this rescue is!!!

I called becouse I found a tiny kitten in the middle of the road on my way to work. I called the number and spoke to a lady and she informed me that to bring in a stray. It’s appointment only and I told her I’m on my way to work. I don’t mind keeping the kitten because I know everybody’s full but I need to do something with it cause I can just leave it on the car while I go to work and she said that she can’t take the kitten because it’s a liability to them and they can’t hold the cat until I’m done with work in two hours so her alternative ways to leave it in a hot car and let it die pretty much I don’t know how they do it in South Carolina but there’s pound is disgusting

A great place to adopt your forever fur buddies. We went there Saturday and came home with a sweet little male dog. He has made himself at home with our little female they hit it from the beginning. He also loves the neighbors dog behind us Goldie. The staff very pleasant and helpful please rescue so many pets need a home and they are ready to return their love to you.

They've taken such great care of our two boys, and I really do believe they take the time to make them feel less afraid when heading in for surgery. It's well worth the one hour drive from our home, to know our pups are in such good hands!

I really love this place! I adopted both of my dogs there, each a year apart. They truly care for these animals and want the best for them. The adoption fee is more than reasonable! Other places were asking way to high to adopt (I've done the math with medical care) It’s a shame because I feel more people would consider adoption. St Francis just wants to find them good homes. I’ve donated food and also had experienced a lack of appreciation from one of the employees, but to their credit they can get very busy and easily distracted with all the phone calls and questions they get. Also some people are just naturally that way! LOL Thank for all you do St. Francis Staff 🙏🏻

We just adopted a wonderful yellow lab named Jacob and he was so well taken care of by St. Frances !! We worked with Ashley , she was very honest and informative about his condition along with answering all of our questions. Great place very well maintained!!

I have had only good experiences here. I took my beloved kitty cat KiKi there to be fixed and they did a great job. Friendly staff. Vet services there are way cheaper than any other vet you'll find! Awesome place!

My husband and I dropped off about $60.00 worth of dry, and wet food and sardines on Sunday. This is the third time have brought food in 3 months. The young lady at the desk barely acknowledged us. I think that attitude would discourage anyone else from repeat donations. That is incredibly sad. Those animals deserve better. Perhaps she needs to be encouraged to be more gracious and appreciative. I think she might be a paid employee. The volunteers seem to be lovely. Dr. Sullivan, Megan, and Ashley and the volunteer Margie are exceptional. I would hate for potential donations or volunteers to be turned off by the reception they might receive at the intake desk.

Horrible Place. Owner is rude, And they make it absolutely impossible to adopt a kitten/dog. Have been there over four times and every time there is one issue or another, and having to make the trip from Charleston to get denied every time is Absolutely ridiculous. Would give Zero stars if i could, do better please.

I would love to have been more impressed with this shelter. Very friendly staff, but beware. I was told I would not have to pay for the office visit or testing on a puppy I adopted that had a bad case of ring worm. That turned out to be a lie. I was also witness to a gentleman who adopted a young dog and was not told of his aggressive behavior toward other animals and people. They only gave an apology and were going to charge him $100 to return the dog. Shameful at best. Definitely a buyer beware policy with these people.

I am adopting dog # 2 from this wonderful facility- lucky me! There's never been a time when I've visited here (either with or without an appointment) that the facility hasn't been clean and well staffed. It's amazing how well these folks know their animals, and very clear how much they love them and want to place them in their "forever homes". I am very impressed with the management style and the amount of community outreach. It's clear that the Center has become an active player in the local community and the staff is well-known and well-respected. Can't say enough nice things about St. Frances Animal Center!
