I love food lion. Great staff, always smiling. Although I do not frequent this one as much as I do the South congaree. The prices are noticeably different from location to location.This location does not offer some of the same things as the South congaree store. Meat choices compared to price aren't all that. But it's still a great place to shop, with a great atmosphere and staff that is always willing to help.

We visit this store when coming home from friends houses. This Food Lion is dirty, crowded and needs better staffing. They have a bullet hole in their front window. Theft must be a big problem for them because you are only suppose to leave from the left side doors as the other doors won't open. This is most likely a fire hazzard.

Employees are friendlier than previous visits..Shelves are stocked, and aisles are fairly clear to walk down.

I was glad it was there however this one is very different. Items I'm used to they didn't have. No canned whipped cream?!! WOW. Customer Service was good.

Customer service is usually good but today wasn't the same. I called to ask if a product was in stock. I was transferred to the meat department. Man answers the phone, gives one word response and hangs up in my face!!! What kind of customer service is that?!?! That wasn't very kind of you Will. I understand that today is a holiday but if you didn't want to work, you should have taken off for the day. I didn't ask you to apply for this job. You did that all by yourself. You work in a public facility and should know better. I hope your day gets better Will. Don't take your frustrations out on people that have done nothing to you.

Love this store the absolute best in Gaston as far as grocery shopping for everyday fresh meats, produce, etc! They have the BEST SELECTIONS AT THE VERY BEST PROCES!

I go to this food lion all the time..I have been working in the heat all day.. I went to buy few items..when your really busy some times you walk in thinking you only getting one or two things.. while I was shopping I saw a empty buggy I'm like great I'll use this and the employee said I couldn't use it. If that was me I would have let the customer use the buggy and went and got another buggy..

The store itself is great. The staff are plenty and helpful. You can use regular checkout rather than self checkout. The only reason I gave 4 stars was your visit experience depends on which way the wind is blowing. If it is coming from the KFC direction it smells like KFC. If it comes from the dog food plant... well it doesn't smell like KFC.

I shop here all the time and everyone is usually very nice. Last night, 7/12 @ 715pm, I was standing in the deli area with another woman when a young black kid was on his phones headset cussing out whomever he was talking to. He was slamming on things, using horrible language at the top of his lungs causing quite the scene. The poor woman who was also working the deli with him looked terrified and was very apologetic when I said something to her. No one should have to witness such a spectacle in an environment that should not be threatening! The other shoppers and I just walked away horrified at what we had just witnessed!

I just left this location, I'm a stop in customer not my regular store choice,,,,,buying food for my children, the lead of customer service open register 1 me and my daughter N law proceed to get in her line, the light was off so she started ringing me up, I get with the speed of service, but she kept over charging me like 3 times on multiple items which she had to be void off then here she go again 2x .I ask to slow down, She is very Confused about what and when to slow down, Very unprofessional, I will not be returning to that location. Unfriendly and Unprofessional over charging customers...P.S. The store was neat but dirty by produce area.. 1 🌟 I'm just saying 😌

Food Lion is your average food shopping experience. If you are looking for really great cuts of meat, check out old timey meat market. They have a good variety of every day items, but a limited selection of specialty food.

The lady at customer service with blonde hair is incredibly disrespectful, talks down to me like a dog. I hope she eventually gets called out for her behavior.I use to work here for 5 months as well, i had no need to get disrespected like that on thanksgiving eve for asking for change. It could of been a no we can help sorry, not being a total disrespectful person. I hope she sees this and knows its completely unprofessional

Foodlion is my third favorite place to grocery shop. They usually have the freshest and sweetest grapes and raspberries. They also usually have some of the best deals on meat. The staff is also very nice and friendly. Update: the store is just as great as when I first reviewed it!

Always go towards closing time, mvp prices are generally good and the quality of meats are on the higher end comparison to stores around. The staff is nice as well and it’s not usually crowded. There is actually space between shoppers, even when it is busy the line wait isn’t that long, checkout can be fairly quick. We love doing our grocery shopping here, and they also Carry brands that other stores do not.

Found everything we went for, they had our cokes on sale for 4 for 10.00 and my diet Canada dry for 4 for 11.00. found our dogs a bag of grain free dog food, and found the ketchup and gravy mix. Thier employees were very friendly and helpful...we'll be shopping there again

Looks dirty, cashier and manager all the time talking while your trying to check out. Never have shelves stocked and have bought alot of items that are expired. Management don't seem to care at this store. I kept getting expired items and even asked 2 managers if they could order me the product still 3 weeks later after they said it would be in that Sunday and I have not heard back yet plus no one knows nothing when I check on it. CLEAN THIS STORE UP IT IS SO NASTY AND HARD TO GET DOWN THE ISLES OR GET NEW MANAGERS!!!!! TIRED OF STANDING IN LINE FOR MY ICE CREAM TO MELT CAUSE CASHIERS TALKING AND ARE SO SO SLOW. Well went back in and now one knew one thing about the product the said they would order but saw some on the shelf. Need a couple new mangers the main one that said over and over she would order and make sure I got with in a week was Laurie customer service manager is what I was told.

I find your groceries over priced. I can get cereal anywhere else more than double the amount of cereal for the same price. It's disappointing. I like cereal. When I have to go to this store my cereal tastes like money. My money. I don't like that flavor. It's bitter and filled with sadness, unlike say I don't know cocoa puffs.

Update:This store has become hit or miss with some items. Low stock on a lot of things and definitely low quality fruits and vegetables. Just a generally low rate food lion. Other Food Lions are much cleaner and well kept. For this reason I have taken away 2 stars.This Food Lion is pretty big. Very clean and well organized. I was impressed by their large variety of everything. Their produce section is gorgeous but you really have to be careful. I found quite a bit of rotting vegtables. Their produce also does not last long at all compared to other stores. Always check to be sure you are picking the freshest they have. Their prices are pretty good. They also have a loyalty program you can sign up for on line. They will mail you the card. Using that you can load all of the coupons you want to use from their sales. It's really convenient. The parking lot is large so finding parking isn't a problem.
