I'm giving this place 5-stars for the sole purpose not wanting to ruin their rating because I know that it's a non-profit and it benefits the animals. However, if I was realistically rating it, it would be a 2 or 3 as someone who only donates and doesn't shop there. Someone needs to tell the ladies who volunteer there to cheer the heck up.I save my items to specifically donate to this store (multiple times every year) and go out of my way during their very limited hours to donate. That being said, every time that I donate to the shop, the ladies working out back are just downright grumpy, unhappy, never say hello or thank you and I always seem like an inconvenience to them. I have a lot of really nice used clothing and items that I could put on eBay or Poshmark but choose to donate to them because I like their shelter and I want to support their animals (rescues have a very very very hard time and the people who care for the animals are true angels). I get that they're volunteers - I'm thankful that they're taking the time out to do this work, but put the grumpy people in the back and get some happy people to work with the customers and people who drop stuff off.

Always loved this shop but the prices now are absurd! You would think the ladies purchased the items with their own money, and some can be so unfriendly. I smile at them and certain ladies working will just glare at me no matter how much I have donated and how much money spent, I feel like I'm interfering every time certain ladies are working. I looked at two jackets today $29.99 each. I saw a dog bed priced at $100! Have they forgotten that they received these items for FREE? It's so unfortunate that whoever is in charge, prices items outrageously and they have no space! They should consider giving a deal more often than once in awhile. When they do have a sale color, there are next to no items it the store with that color.I love to support the animals, I hate to see what this place has come to.

Once upon a time you could shop here and get great deals. No more. Everything is priced ridiculously. These items are all donated and they are doing a complete disservice to the animals that the proceeds go to because many people have stopped going there and many others leave empty handed. Whoever is in charge needs to price things like what it's intended to be a " thrift store"

I overheard the women charging $30 for a Christmas item because “that’s what it’s worth on eBay” and that is SO DISHEARTENING TO HEAR! Especially since most of these items are donated and used. Most prices on eBay are LIST prices and do not actually ever sell. They are doing themselves a disservice by pricing these items so highly. You can definitely find thrift stores in the area that are not inflating prices. Also most women in the store are volunteers so the price gouging is especially disappointing.

Unbelievable prices, so high. $16 for filthy worn out shoes? Thin polyester cardigans by no-name brands for $22? Blocks for $25 when they are less than that brand new? Get a grip! What a wasted trip.

Dropping off donations was a horrible experience. Staff was rude and demanding and not gracious or helpful. I will never go back.

Awesome shop! They have tons of stuff, reasonable prices. Run by volunteers, all proceeds benefit Humane Soiciety of Yo rk county, a no-kill shelter.

I've been going to this place for quite a few years now. I always found great items for a reasonable price, the last couple years prices have gotten way too high. I went last week and they wanted $16 for a pair of used men's jeans, they used to sell them for around $4-6 a few years ago. Shoes with lots of wear, dirty insoles $8+ and up. Most items for sale now at antique prices, crazy for stuff that they get for free. I understand it's all for the animals which is great but they have lost me as a customer which in turn is less money they will make for the Humane Society. I've overheard customers talk about how ridiculous the prices are and I have a feeling many people will just stop going, such a shame.

This used to be my go to, especially for supporting the humane society. Been shopping there since the doors opened. Seen management change hands multiple times and it's gotten worse every time. When I say worse, I mean higher prices and fewer hours open. It was operated best with the first 2 managers. Now they're only open the hours that most of us are earning the money we'd like to spend there. LOL Saturday it's so packed because they're only open 4 hours. You cannot breathe or move there are so many shoppers on Saturday. The prices have skyrocketed over the last 2 years. It's really taken a turn for the worse and now Goodwill is 2 miles away...you've got to be more competitive so that the animals continue to benefit.EDIT: After not going for about 6 months I went in to look for some shoes for work...there were piles of them RIDICULOUSLY priced. $13.50 for a used dirty pair of tennis shoes with the soles half gone. $10.50 for a used dirty scuffed up pair of flats. What in the world is going on with this thrift store?!

This is my favorite thrift shop! It is nice to see the sales for that day and to seek out treasures. Yesterday, i bought three dresses, some nice unopened lotion, a bag of beads, a bracelet making kit, and a candle lantern and my total cost was $16 and some change. Thrift store shopping is better than the mall any day because you never know what you might find. This store is well organized and the money goes to the Humane society. They also have punch cards and when you get 10 punches, you get $10 off your order. You get a punch for every $10 you purchase. Very nice place!

One of the best thrift stores in the Greater Charlotte Area, mainly due to the sheer number of items and the relative quality compared to other thrift stores. Our cashier was amazing, and he pointed out discounts we hadn’t even known about; he also made jokes throughout the checkout process, and the other volunteers we interacted with were similarly kind and clearly passionate about the cats on the property. Even if they had been rude, however, I think it’s important to give these volunteers the benefit of the doubt and some graciousness, as they’re donating their time to help animals in an often high-volume shop. Highly recommend!

What a gem of a little thrift store! Wonderful selection of items categorized thoughtfully and cared for lovingly – clothing, kitchenware, pet items, art supplies and fabric short ends. There’s is something for anyone here. Support the animals and stop by!

Used to enjoy going here. I would spend quite a bit of money weekly. NOT ANYMORE! The volunteers are extremely rude! I have made a complaint to the "lead volunteer" but it did no good. I recently stopped in and the customer checking out in front of me had an accent. The volunteers treated her terribly and acted like they had no idea what she was saying. One of the volunteers even told her that she did not have time to figure out what she was saying cause she had stuff to do!When it was my turn, the cashier did not apply my discounts and when I pointed it out she slammed the pen and receipt on the counter, and actually tossed my credit card at me! Not applying discounts/sale prices happens here a lot!If you're choosing to volunteer your time the least you can do is be nice to the customers. No customers = no store.

I enjoyed my visit to this store - lots of items of all kinds to choose from. Prices were lower than I expected, even for a thrift store. On top of that, they were having a sale where many items were half price! I bought several nice decorative pieces. They also have a punch card program where you can earn an extra discount in the future. Love that my donations and purchases will go to help animals in need.

I love to help out the animals by shopping here. But I don't think I will be back. The lady that runs the check out has been rude on multiple occasions. Today she was very rude to a volunteer helping her and the people checking out. As she stated she has "been doing this a long time", and told the volunteer not to talk to the people so they can move the line along. The volunteer helping was very friendly and making customers feel appreciated unlike herself. I hope others don't feel this way when in there because it is a great ways to help animals but she is not making people feel comfortable appreciated by being there.

Two of the elderly ladies working as a cashier are very nervous and rude. They make lots of mistake about the prices and discounts also. I like to shop there but it is disgusting to put it up with these ladies. You need to train your cashier for a better service.

This is a good thrift store, however the volunteers are a problem. There are way too many volunteers. The corridors are small and the volunteers are constantly in the way of the customers. They are always saying "excuse me" to get by. This happened to me 5 times the last time I was in this store. It is very hard to shop in this store without being in the way of a volunteer. I have come here on several occasions and I am always annoyed at the rude attitude of several of the volunteers as well as them making the customers feel like we are in "their" way. I have a few friends that won't even shop here anymore due to this situation. They have WAY too many people working in this store. Do they want to sell things or make customers feel uncomfortable? Unfortunately the latter is the situation.

This is not your ordinary thrift store. The items are all above average in quality and cleanliness. You can see the special attention the volunteers give to checking, testing and presenting the items. I love how areas are labeled for their contents. And how linens are “gift wrapped “ with ribbon.

I used to love coming in and hunting for treasures and the staff used to be so friendly. Unfortunately this is not the case any longer. Was just in this morning and the volunteers were not friendly at all. Not only did they not speak, they would cut me off as I was trying to look at something and not say excuse me. I have spoken with others who also usedd to frequent the store and many of them have stopped going due to how unfriendly the staff seems. I love the cause and want to support them but I have a feeling it is going to be a long time before I go back.

I really like this "thrift" store but the prices here are through the roof! And all sales final! $40 for a small shark vacuum. $65 for a leaf blower. Their prices should not reflect what they sell for on ebay or amazon when they recieved these items for free.

It was my first time in this thrift shop I was very impressed. This thrift shop has nice updated belongings and their prices are wonderful. Staff was very nice and very helpful and very polite. I even filled out a form to volunteer thereI can't wait I am excited to volunteer and help out.I even purchased a few items.

textbook boomers work there. was going to drop off kitchen appliances, along with brand new dog collars, leashes, raincoats, etc. boomers asked if the coffee maker worked--um hello if it was broken it would be trashed, then said it's too dirty and they won't take it BUT they'll take everything else. RIIIIIGHT. onto goodwill,

I miss Pawsabilities SO much! I hope that all of you are healthy(and all of your families as well). You are my 'go to' store, and I never feel like I'm 'getting rid of stuff'; I'm donating good items that will attract someone's eye and that they just can't live without. It does my heart good that all of the profits go to the York County Humane Society, a truly wonderful place for dogs and cats. Each one is treated with love. Someday soon, I want to adopt a little, little dog; I would even adopt one with disabilities, the most unwanted and most ungrateful to have a home.

My favorite thrift store ever! Staff are always so kind and helpful. This is all volunteer run with proceeds going to no kill shelter! I've brought them loads of items and always shop here first before going to a regular store!

There’s some fabulous donations. And I know it’s all for a good cause, but I think the prices are way too high. I’ve seen things that are higher-priced than in stores to buy new. Extremely overpriced. And what is the percentage of money that actually goes to the animal shelters?

If I dont come here at least once a week, I know I've missed some incredible "finds"!! I never buy retain or new if I can help it, as the things in the shop are varied, well displayed, and INEXPENSIVE!! So many people donate, esp this time of year when spring cleaning happens, so there's constant new additions. The shop is clean, nicely decorated, efficient, and staffed by smart, wonderful ladies ( And one man;)) who tests out most of the electrical/mechanical items coming through the shop, so you wont be disappointed in any way!! There are 2 restrooms/changing rooms and plenty of parking. Do not forget to ask for your "loyalty card" and also start saving goodies for the shop to resell! And yes, they do accept major credit cards (but no checks). Get on mailing list for the fun things they do like the Garden Items and Plant sale outdoors. Also, next Saturday, June 17th, is annual fundraiser at the Tega Cay Country Club!! Get your tickets for great silent auction items, food and drink!!!! And in October, theres the Wiener Dog Races at Oktoberfest in Olde Towne Rock Hill....don't get me started!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you at the "shop"!! kirsten parrish, Tega Cay

My number one thrift store. Huge selection of nice clothing and jewelry in the boutique. Lots of toys and household items. Plus, great prices and they have rotating sales. I never leave empty handed.
