Wonderful veterinarian's office...everyone here is always so caring, friendly, & professional. It doesn't matter which vet my furbabies see, bc all of them are phenomenal!!! Going to the vet isn't always the most pleasant thing to do but they try to help ease that burden as much as possible depending on the situation. They have also gone out of their way and stayed late to help my babies...I can't say enough good & positive things about the crew at Hewitt Animal Hospital, I'm so glad I decided to switch my vets office soooo many years ago!! Thank you for all that you do for the fur babies & their families we APPRECIATE y'all more than you know!!

I cannot say enough good things about Hewitt Animal Hospital. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and caring, and took the time to address all of my concerns about my cat, Oreo, who was sick at the time. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and I felt confident that my cat was in good hands. The vet was thorough in their examination and treatment. Oreo is now slowly getting back to his happy and healthy self. I highly recommend Hewitt Animal Hospital to anyone looking for top-notch care for their furry family members.

Great vets and staff! We are very happy with the care our Dachshunds get at Hewitt. A little expensive, but maybe that's pet care in general?

As a result of my last review, due to my bailey not being able to get her pill, Dr. Hewitt personally called me and explained the new protection laws placed on vets, and their audits. I am glad to report we have came up with a solution that works for me and Bailey. I appreciate his concern, and see he does care for me and my dog. So, I will be taking Bailey in next month to get it all taken care of. Thank you Dr. Hewitt.

I switched over to Hewitt years ago. Since then, I will NEVER go anywhere else with our fur babies! When Oakley got sick, we thought that we would have to say another heartbreaking goodbye. Dr Lewis didn't give up and is still doing whatever she can for Oakley. She saved our baby when other vets would have given up. It's more than "just about the money" with Hewitt. Medicine can be expensive sometimes. She compares online and offline prices to find the cheapest pharmacy. And finds discounts and donations when places offer it. Edited from 1 star to 3:I have used this animal hospital since 2014. We have never had any problems before now. My female dog "Suki" is 6 years old. While at my father in laws funeral in Florida we determined she had pyrometra from her "unusual activity and sickness". We called and made an appointment rite away to be seen the following day in South Carolina. Her surgery was fine and recovery was fine. However when we took her back to have to stitches removed, she was muzzled (unbeknownst to me)in the back and I could hear her whimpering. Dr Hewitt wasn't there for stitch removal. I was told I had to wait in the lobby ...had they let me go back there they would have NEVER put a muzzle on my dog WITHOUT my permission, it has been over an hour since I brought her home and she still has muzzle marks across her nose in front of her eyes. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE !!!!! Especially when the owner is standing right there and more than willing to do what needs to be done to take care of their animal that is a companion pet!!Apparently there was pop on the floor and the vet associate walked through it with no disregard for my dog. She checked her shoes shrugged her shoulders and handed off the leash. Unbeknownst to me, my dog had pop on her feet when she got in my truck.. gross!!!You would think after spending over $800 on just one visit my dog might actually be important to them. She means the world to me!!!!!Maria called and left a voice message after viewing this review. I am glad she did because we can not fix problems we are unaware of.... I returned her call and we spoke for about 10 minutes ( she apologized several times). However, it should be in the training to know better than to muzzle any pet without permission.

I'm a travel nurse and my vet from home called to let me know my almost 18 year old cat had pancreatitis. The folks at Hewitt were wonderful. They were able to work me in and kept my elder gentle cat for 2 nights. The vet was was awesome and kept me update on how he was doing and let me visit him. He is doing well at home.

I’ve been taking my pets to Hewitt Animal Hospital for 7-years and greatly appreciate their quality of service, expertise, and accessibility. When we go out of town, Hewitt’s boards the cats, examines them and updates their shots. When our fur-babies have gotten sick they’ve diagnosed them spot-on and quickly got them better. I’ve never had anything but a good experience with this pet health provider.

I loved the friendly and concerned welcome my Service Dog and I received as a first time visitor for a consult. My dog had two masses that we needed to remove from his right-side Thorasic and shoulder area. Dr Hewitt was so kind and willing to surgically remove both masses and try and make his recovery as easy as possible!! And for that I am so grateful. Thank you again!🐾🐾

Always get the best care ! Dr. Hewitt is wonderful with all my animals. They are a little pricey. I usually get the correct diagnosis the 1 st time and my animals get well . Not the case @ alot of places. I feel safe bringing my babies to Dr Hewitt, Dr Vanblake. Or Dr Lewis all top of the line vets!

I brought my cat to get fixed and her shots. They were gently because she is a small size adult cat and they loved her. She is adorable so. They made sure she is healthy and good to go for the surgery. They explained every step of the way. I would definitely recommend there.

Since selling to a new owner, the prices have ballooned and the staff are rude at times. I have been a frequent patient with my four legged family members for over 20 years and this is not the same home town Animal Clinic it always use to be. The doctors are the same and they are always friendly and caring and do a good job. I seriously contemplated terminating my relationship with this animal hospital because of new ownership and the lack of communication to the people that have been loyal to Dr. Hewitt and his staff for so many years. No consideration to the owners of the patients to inform them of the change along with informing them of the huge price increases.

My dog has been going here since birth. I took him because he had a cough. They said they needed to do an X-ray to confirm and it did confirm what they thought. My bill was $305 and I had zero warning it was going to be so high. I wish they would’ve told me how much the services were going to be before doing the X-ray.

We've been using these veterinarians for many years! They always do a great job with the animals and people. Everyone is very friendly, efficient and just all around great office. As far as veterinarians in general, I believe their prices are the most competitive, they take good care of your animal but don't try to sell you unnecessary services or products. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I had to go there to do one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. My best friend, the best dog, ever, was ready to move on & cross the Rainbow Bridge. The people there were so kind. I was too emotional at the time to tell them, but I really appreciate the kindness & care they gave to all of us.

I absolutely love these guys. Always courteous & fast service. I would not & will not trust my Therapy Pooch with any other Vets. The atmosphere there make you feel like your interacting with family. Thank you guys for all you do & keep up the good work. Oh I almost forgot they also have reasonable prices for procedures. I'm a disabled Veteran and my Therapy dog means the world to me, I only trust Hewitt with his care.

This is probably the best vet’s office I’ve ever been to. Everyone was so friendly, and incredibly helpful. One of my cats had to be dropped off for a tooth cleaning, and one was just getting a check up, but they let me drop them both off for the day since I had to work. The doctor, Doctor Yarborough, listened to everything I was concerned about and let me know what was going on with my cats to keep them as healthy as possible. As long as I’m living in Florence, this is where I’ll be going for my pets.
