This store is convenient, but the staff has an annoying habit of bagging your purchases and stacking them on the counter in front of you. So when you have more items than fit on the counter, your bags fall off in the floor in front of you. When I go here, I use self checkout because I want them to leave my bags on the spinner and let me get them. Today the self checkout was closed and the person in front of me held up the line to run back and exchange a soda that, you guessed it, fell off the counter due to the excessive bags being stacked on the counter and shoved towards the customer in the name of customer service. Also, I don’t appreciate that there is often no one at the counter to checkout your purchases, and when they know you’re waiting, they can’t come over yet because they need to finish up something, which tends to be a conversation, not actual work.

Freight on sales floor. Very cluttered. No stock on shelves. Only one employee to check out. Cashier was very nice. It is appalling at how you expect one person to put up freight and run register. I see an issue with management and there home office.

The store was well-lit, and easily seen from the road. The store was conveniently located that if you forgot something you would not have to go all the way back to town. There was ample parking. The store was well supplied neatly arranged. Customer service was good. Easy in and out the store

Called to ask if this location had a item in stock. I was told to hold on for a few minutes.... well I'm currently still holding just to see his long it takes them to figure it out... as of right now I'd been on hold for 42 minutes. Another time I bought ice and the cashier had to ring up people before she unlocks the ice chest located outside... she forgot about me till I called to ask if she was coming. This location needs better employees.

I asked the girl at register if they were going out of business and she said why do you ask and I said the shelves are empty and she said that they are just busy. Look I go in that store just about every day and this has been going on a long time. This store is absolutely terrible. Stuff is laying everywhere and the outside is littered with trash. The problem is terrible management or maybe no management. You go in any other Dollar General in Florence and they are nice. Fix it...

I don't come here a lot but when I'm in Florence this is the one I choose to go to. However the store always seems so cluttered. They have nice staff but don't seem to care how long you're standing at the register waiting for someone to ring you up. Think they need new management!!

This particular Dollar General seems to be kept up pretty good. It is well stocked and clean, but the parking lots of all the Dollar Generals I have ever been to our nasty. It looks like it has never been cleaned and the people that go there throw everything down in the parking lot.

I love to shop at this Dollar General! Is always so tiny and the staff are super friendly. And 90% of the time I can find exactly what I need and get out quickly. Keep up the excellent work!

Of course there's usually boxes of unpacked stuff along the aisles, but that's expected when they rarely have more than two employees in the store at one time... I think if they'd bite the bullet and schedule four people on delivery day specifically to get on the ball and get everything put away,the store would look much better and more of their product would be visible thus increasing people buying....but who knows. I usually end up spending way more than I plan!

Just got accused of trying to steal something from this store. When I asked why the clerk refused to give me the managers name or number. She wouldn't even give me a district managers name or a corporate number... will definitely never go back. No stars.. and they lost mine and my friends business for life. How about pay attention. To your customers and stay off the phone maybe you'll be aware of what is actually going on in your store

These store are like a bad case of herpes, they pop everywhere and property value seems to drop because you know you live in a poor area. This one I have been 4 separate times. Every time I have been here, there was just one dude working, and there would be a long line that would take 10plus minutes to get through, 10plus minutes of standing in line with whatever you are buying in your hands while listening to an annoying old woman telling me about her grandkids is not what I want from these places. The cashier was a cool dude though, just working as hard as he can with what he could do. I don’t believe it was his fault he was alone.

Bad customer service when went into store no greeting at all tried to speak and the young guy looked at me like I was speaking a different language and still didnt say one word I paid by seeing the total not him telling me the total... Bought milk with good expiration date tried to call them to let them know and they will not answer the phone.

Very nice store. Stock was not sitting in the aisles and you could actually push a buggy around. Prices of course was good and employees are pleasant.

They always have a long line with one cashier working. Kinda messy but I work in retail so I know it can get like that. Looks like they need to hire some more people to help in there.

This store is a joke worst service. have to waite because no one is at the counter the girl looked at twice and waited 10 minutes before she came to the counter to ring up my items. i will tell everyone do not go here

this place always has a long line because there is only one person ever in there doing anything and a lot of the time you have to hunt someone down to ring you up because no one is behind the register and evertime I go in there they are out of something I need. This dollar general is a joke.

Always good service but dollar general needs to address inventory shortage
