Obviously there is No quality control. I bought some very basic simple trusses from them and they were absolutely terrible. The top cords looked like a roller coaster and where bowed as much as an inch and a half..

We built a custom home and bought a great deal of materials from Yoders, including all of our doors and windows, zip boards, 2x4’s for framing, etc. They delivered a huge load of lumber and as we worked our way through the stacks found many 2x4’s that were twisted and moldy. We had them come and pick them up and they never gave us a credit or exchange for better lumber. We were told that they do not give refunds on bad lumber!! Even the driver told us that they had other returns of moldy lumber as well. It was the end of their year and they were trying to get rid of bad lumber. Very poor business practice!! We will never do business with them again! Very disappointed with Yoders!

Outstanding showroom and even better employees, particularly David on the sales desk. Yoder’s stocked the specialty planking that the other pro yards near me only special ordered and was able to deliver this next day for only $11. The delivery team took create care in seeing that the load was delivered damage free and placed just where I wanted. If you are building anywhere in the Upstate, check out Yoder’s.

Ty Yoder went above and beyond… in todays day and age one hardly encounters a company with integrity !! That being said without an argument or a fuss - just doing what’s right by a customer or a person who isn’t ( in my case that isn’t yet ) . I will most definitely recommend this company to all my friends and will use when I have a need they fulfill . Thanks Ty for being a stand up guy.

Company is supposed to have Christian values but will LIE to their customers and VISA just to avoid having to take back defective merchandise. Shame on you!God sees the truth and will punish those who act otherwise. Use a big box store instead. At least they will make things right with their customers and not lie shamelessly.

Giving 5 stars because this review has nothing to do with the inside business.As a delivery driver the back lot is absolute disorganized chaos. Rough gravel, trucks and fork lifts everywhere, people just walk out in front of you like you're not even there. And the dude who accepts deliveries. Like dude where are you? I gotta go!Used to take 5 minutes in and out. Now it's like 5 minutes just to get in.

Absolutely terrible experience today. 🤯Why would a business, when a handicapped customer, looking at an hour's drive,... knowing they are calling on a day when they are "by appointment only"...not inform the customer of this?So, I went, rented a wheelchair for us, drove us over, and wheeled my parent in...and then the boot is dropped after we get in the door. ... appointment only. No one will answer ANY of your questions. But hey, feel free to look around.... really? Have you seen this shop? How disorganized it is? How little information you can find on ANYTHING?! I wheeled my parent around and we found someone seated at a desk. Asked the young lady about speaking with a manager, and her response, "oh, he is only in 3 days a week." ...uh huh. Ok, so these guys, referred to us by Jeff Lynch, are definitely not someone we will be doing any further business with and just want to share out there with others.... Fridays are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!! Please don't get caught like we did on this miscommunication loop!! ☹️

Called in to order 2 pallets of block and a wood order and they stated "we have block, but we can't sell it to you, it's too hot of a commodity right now to sell". Thankfully Builder's First was able to deliver our pallets of block and our wood order without any issues.

I am Very Very Disappointed in this company.On Jan. 5, 2022, I purchased a walnut butcher block counter top from Yoders. It was to be sealed with something called Durakryl and installed. A month after having the countertops installed, I noticed furry spots on my counter tops. I am the only person that uses my kitchen. I don’t let splashes stand on the counters and nor do I prep on my countertops. I have had to live with shower curtains and drop plastic on all the countertops to keep it from getting worse.Now with that said, I have spoken with a couple levels of management at Yoders and Merl’s Countertops ( the co. that made the tops) about the countertop. First option from Merl’s was to give me instructions on how to seal, the supposedly already sealed top, myself. Second option, they would uninstall my sink and countertop, take it back to their shop and seal it for me. I would be without my kitchen for a 1-1 1/2 weeks, then they would reinstall the countertop, but not the sink. When speaking with upper management at Yoders’s, I was given the 2nd option, but would pay for my plumber to put the sink back in. I don’t think I should have to be without a countertop or sink again. I ask that they get the countertops remade (with sealant) and bring them to me. Take the ones I have and install the new ones. The response was No, that they couldn’t suck up that loss. I think that what I asked for is fair. They refused.

After finding this store by chance one day, my husband and I went back today with house plans in hand and a list of appliances we would like them to quote. However, as we walked in the door not a single person out of the 12+ people we saw spoke to us....not one person. In fact, I watched as three men sat at a desk, one was on the store phone working, the other slid down in his seat to get more comfortable as he held his cell phone up over his face. We were interested in composite cladding, metal store front window systems for our lakefront home, full kitchen appliances, granite / quartz countertops...the whole deal. We were in the store for approximately 40 minutes wandering around on our own. Not a single department offered to help us or ask us if we had already been helped. Very, very disappointed as this store looked like it offered a lot of products that we were looking for. Someone else will be getting our money.

I was pleasantly surprised by not only the variety, but by the quality of the building tools and materials this spot had to offer. Felt like a kid in a candy shop. Very friendly staff, and prices that bewildered my father and me. We'll certainly be back.

Great service. Friendly and helpful. Didnt know where to go to get a pickup of block i ordered and they helped show me and even used a fork lift to raise the block up so i wouldnt have to bend over or lift as much.

While I am not in construction and have not used Yoders Building supply personally, I wanted to leave a review for their employee I encountered today.I was one of 4 police officers directing traffic today on HWY 76 and Perimeter Rd. It was over 90 degrees and rather hot with all the gear on. An employee (wasn't able to get his name) driving a green Toyota pickup truck with the Yoders logo on the side stopped along us with ice cold bottles of water and passed it out from his vehicle. While a small gesture, I just wanted to say that it was greatly appreciated. We had been taking turns directing traffic for several hours already and the cold water was immensely helpful to keep us cooled off. In all my years as a police officer, he was the first civilian to pass out water to officers directing traffic that I witnessed.This act of kindness made a great impression on me and my fellow officers. Thank you sir!

If you are reading reviews before you plan to make a buying decision...ask yourself do you think the reviewer understands lumber grades? Because it's not apples to apples. Wood is NOT a perfect product and like people, no two boards are alike. I am dismayed by negative comments online, especially ones calling out specific individuals. Whatever happened to calling a supervisor and discussing an issue? Andre, take this as a learning lesson that you just can't please everyone. All that matters is you do your best... which I believe from past experience you definitely do. Yoder's keep up the great work that you do!

Yoder's Building Supply is the only building company that you can 100% trust. We live in Greenville, and tried not only Lowe's but Home Depot to get us the supplies we needed for our privacy fence project. After both companies failed us and poorly communicated with us, we went out of the local radius to YBS and we are so glad we did! We called and got our order put in for ALL the supplies we needed and within three days EVERYTHING we order was delivered to our home. The customer service and care we received from YBS is impeccable. 10/10 will order with them again!

I have been blown off since 3 weeks before Christmas....needed a new 60 inch natural gas in wall fire place and sent many messages to rep and over and over I got blew off ....verrry unprofessional and I will NOT use you again for our high end lake properties in Ebenezer on lake keowee...pretty sad how you treat the public

I shop at youders because when we built they helped us with all our needs. We worked with all staff an I loved the good choices we made on lumber, hardwood,molding, bath supplies, roof shingles, nails, oh my they got it all here too.screen wire for porches, they got it all,come see us when you can.
