If you want to take your camper and park it and do nothing, this is the place for you!The campsite was like a ghost town. There were NO activities or entertainment, band, karaoke, games etc. the pool wasn’t even working. She said there was a broken pump, I know these things happen but really, you knew the swimming season was coming, should have been more prepared and had these things checked. But that doesn’t surprise me seeing how the rest of the upkeep throughout the campsite was! There wasn’t anybody even around. A lot of permanent campers but nobody in them, they look like they have been there for years, stuff laying around. We arrived at our site and that was a joke! The campfire fireplace was almost nonexistent. A small pile of tiny rocks. No picnic table available either. We were in a pop up mind you so the extra space would have been nice. The pictures make it look like you’re right on the lake, not the case! There are only a few permanent camping sites down by the lake other than that you have to walk or drive down some very steep hills just to get to the lake.Once there, that was the only pretty area. There is no landscaping throughout the campsite unless the permanent campers did it themselves. The campsite wasn’t well maintained, they didn’t cut the weeds down and could use some updating. The bathrooms were not clean either. I didn’t even want to shower in there or take my shoes off.BE CAREFUL if you are driving something large, tight spots, lots of hills, and pot holes!Overall, we were not impressed.Communication with staff/owners was not easy. They give you an after hours phone number but nobody answers. I finally got through because I let it ring, a long time. And when I asked if we could have a picnic table I was told, tomorrow.Well we were only staying 2 nights.Honestly, if I was the owner, especially a campsite of this size, I would have someone available at least until 9 or 10pm for these such things. There wasn’t a store onsite for the small necessities like wood for a fire, ice, snacks or those few things you may have forgotten. Perhaps a souvenir! We won’t be back here! We were bored and had to venture out of the campsite for something to do.Not the weekend we planned!Sorry for the poor review but I think it’s important we are all honest!

We had a wonderful experience @ Carolina Landing. The sites are a little tight together, but when you're with family and friends the closeness is enjoyable. We had a wonderful time during our stay. The laundry facility has easy access, cc options and laundry app pay options. This CG has beautiful lake views and hills throughout for great exercise!

We’ve had an enjoyable time at Carolina Landing. This was our first trip out of home state as full timers and we were super excited. The site was unlevel but nothing some wood blocks couldn’t fix. Some of the reviews make it sound much more extreme than what it is. Cell coverage is great with T-Mobile and Starlink worked fine with minor obstructions due to tree coverage. Staff was helpful and courteous. Laundry machines are reasonably priced. We will be returning!

We stayed in a cabin and did not realize they were joint units. The cabin was overall nice and clean although somewhat dated. It was stocked with towels, bedding, dishes, and small appliances including a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. The beds were not great for comfort. We visited at the tail end of winter and it wasn’t a scenic as it probably is other seasons. Overall, the campground was well-maintained and we enjoyed the mini golf, playground, and activities in the lodge.

Second year staying at Carolina Landing. Very happy with site, laundry and access to Lake Hartman. Last year we really enjoyed the pool but we’re a little this year. Love all the trees and wilderness. We prefer this to mobile/rv parks and lots of concrete. Thank you for doing a great job Donna. We’ll be back in a few months. The BartelsNearby activities: Lots of golf, stores and restaurants within 30 minutes.Walkability: Natural terrain is perfect for daily walks, simple or challenging.

This visit was our second two-week stay here. The staff is consistently kind and helpful. The utilities at our site worked without issue. It did require a little effort to get our rig level, but that's part of RV life. They don't have propane here but they do have it at one of the nearby truck stops and it's available at local Tractor Supply stores which we learned - thanks to campground staff - when the truck stop had a leak in their propane system the day we needed a fill up.We don't have any complaints about this park. Do we wish Thousand Trails would invest some money in upgrades? Yes. But, you know, we had access to the lake from a nearby boat launch and could anchor at the campground, the showers were hot and the bathhouses were warm in the winter, and the park staff was good about communicating. We appreciate all of that - thank you.

I cannot say enough about how "this three week stay" @ Carolina Landing has been the BEST ever !If we were ready to stop travelin' & live year round ... this would definitely be the right spot for us.All of the Staff were so polite & helpful. Exceptional Service was sure appreciated. The Park is Beautiful & very quiet with large wooded areas to roam. The walking paths are kept very clean & nice.Overall, it is a very Special RV Park full of kind people & our stay there was a good beginning into 2024 !Thank you !❤️MKD

As their site says, this is a very hilly campground. I stayed for 2 weeks with full hook ups. Absolutely no issues, everyone I passed was very friendly. I had a dog and they have plenty of trash cans throughout for poop bags. They have a text service to communicate with the office, but they were available in the office as well. I had great Verizon service, but I paid for their internet (there’s no free internet that works) and I had trouble with it. Ended up using my hotspot. There’s not much in the immediate area except two very nice truck stops that have Amazon lockers. Anderson is about 30 minutes away and was the best place to shop. Great location to get to the surrounding areas! Overall, great stay!

We had been at the rv park since October and the rv park needs a lot of TLC because the roads had pot wholes in the road and the front of the rv park was too tight and hilly .There is alit of amenities here except volley ball court , play ground and pool and there is a recreational center that has a place to shoot pool , basket ball court never used . The F section ion has larger spots but no sewer and that are a couple of nice lots but they charge 3840.00 for annual price and you have to be a member of Thousand Trails to live inside the park. The also charge a 300.00 dollar non refundable fee for a annual. They have a maintenance guy that comes around to suck out your tanks. The also charge 50.00 for power and $ 4 .00 if you wash your Rv and 2.00 if you wash your car .The manager is really rude and unprofessional. There aren’t alit of amenities in this park and everyone is leaving this park because they can not stand the office manager Donna Conner .I think that she needs to be fired because of her unprofessional attitude and negativity toward guest

We just left here after 3 weeks. We loved our time there and will return again in the future. The staff was so nice & friendly. The park was clean & manicured. We had a bit of a dilemma & the staff was more then helpful!!! We had a strong T-MOBILE signal. The church group was a great bunch of people. We love the rustic charm & people!!Again, the staff was beyond wonderful!!

The campground was dated but in good shape, and the staff was super cool, checking on us periodically and keeping us in the loop with texts. They let us receive packages without hitting us with extra fees (just, you know, don't go crazy with that). Good spots for strolls and play, and even though the playground was on the smaller side, it did the trick for the little ones. Our kids had a blast shooting hoops with others on the basketball court. T-Mobile and Starlink internet held up well to zoom meetings and streaming. Heads up, though – the paved sites, including ours, were a bit wonky. Pack lots of leveling gear and be ready to take your sweet time getting things straight.Noteworthy details: Bring plenty of leveling blocks or wood pieces and take your time.

Our Thanksgiving week at Thousand Trails in FairPlay, SC, had its highlights, with amenities like mini-golf, a playground, and a clubhouse. However, the campground’s reality didn’t align with its online portrayal. Instead of the transient feel we expected, around 90% of the sites seemed permanently occupied, cluttered with unattended campers, sheds, and unregistered vehicles. Our assigned site, nestled in uneven woods, lacked upkeep, was barely wider than our RV, and had no room for a picnic table. Meanwhile, other sites boasted large decks, ample parking, fire pits, and level ground.Proximity to the bathhouse was convenient, but its lack of cleanliness, overrun by insects and spiders, was a disappointment. The staff, although generally friendly, provided minimal information at check-in, mainly a laundry list of rules.Overall, a 3/10 experience—we wouldn’t consider returning.Oh, I forgot to mention; If you intend to play putput, beware there are fire ants all of the course, and it is not maintained.

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks at this very quiet and scenic park. Many thanks to Donna for letting us find and pick our perfect spot on the hill. The trees in fall time are beautiful!

Nice outdoorsy place, Lake is nice and campground needs work but a decent place to stay. The sites and roads need work. Men’s shower is closed by office, family shower in B only has two showers only one has hot water. The shower/restroom by lake we’re dirty and spiders/spider webs are all over inside the showers can’t even shower in them or have anything out.

In our experience this is the absolute best and only thousand trails location worth visiting!!! We have stayed in a cabin once and in a tent once and we will definitely be back. The two ladies staffing this location are super sweet and will help you with anything you need. Our first cabin was not clean but they quickly fixed it and had us ready to go. My husband lost his wedding ring in the sink and maintenance was able to quickly retrieve it. The water is gorgeous and we caught some fish. I will warn that the roads are rough and I would absolutely recommend 4 wheel drive and some good leveling blocks if you are in an rv. But the staff makes up for any pitfalls and trouble with the roads. Bathrooms are well kept up and facilities are maintained. There is not as much as far as a pool table or arcade as some other locations but the peace is worth it.

This weekend we stayed at Carolina‘s landing for the Fourth of July holiday. It was so nice when we arrived because they had an assigned spot for us so we didn’t have to drive around and look for a place to park. We parked in a really nice area that had sewer and water. They had a wonderful, free barbecue for the Fourth of July holiday. and not just any barbecue. It was pulled pork a hamburger or a hotdog with macaroni and cheese, coleslaw baked beans, and dessert. The staff was super nice and made us feel welcome. They had a beautiful sparkly clean pool.

This is our second time at Carolina Landings. The staff, particularly Donna are amazing and try their very best to accommodate the guests! The 50 amp, full hookup sites are cut into a hillside and look more intimidating for leveling purposes then they are. A little extra time and thought and it is all good! Make sure you have an ample amount of leveling blocks with you. There is a pretty lake at the bottom of a very steep hill. The park has a comforting charm that is enhanced by the wonderful staff. It is always a pleasure to come here and enjoy the beautiful hillside.Great job!

SOOO Many people trash this place and say how awful it is....let me tell you right now they are wrong. Is it hilly as hell?-yes, bring boards like we did.Is the lake absolutely amazing to splash, kayak, and explore?- oh my gosh, YESSSS!!!! But catch it in season we caught it at the tail end and it was extremely low.Is the campground older?- you bet...BUT...they are working hard to update where they can. The pool is awesome! The game room has been renovated. The putt-putt and playground are well manicured/maintained.Would I rebook?- in a heartbeat. We are 30-45 minutes from amazing waterfalls, hikes and breweries. We've enjoyed the peace and quiet of the campgound(now that holiday campers are gone 🙈)....and seriously this may be a hidden gem!I also wanna thank the front office. We checked in Friday,A VERY BUSY HOLIDAY, and were assigned a site that we couldn't get in. We tried to pull thru, back in and even attempted a sketchy through another site. But our jacks could make it over the steep slope of the site. The office put us in another site and APPOLIGIZED, because it wasn't full hookup. We don't care, we have a toy hauler with massive tanks and will just use our honey pot(they offer a once a week dump for free if we'd like to use it!).All in all, if you want to be in the woods, in peace....book here ❤️.

We were registered to stay for two weeks so we drove through campground like we usually do before we go to one. We were not impressed. The site's are small and not level or kept up very well. The hole campground needs a lot of tender loving care. Wife needed to use restroom and said their were hundreds of beetles and cockrochs all over the sink, toilet, counter and floor. If we hear that things have gotten better we may consider it again.

Do not go here if you have a big rig there are no level spots. There are turns that make it real hard with a fifth wheel. We did not feel safe. We found somewhere else in the area to camp. Looks like a nice place if you have a smaller rig but there's also a lot of full timers here so some of the spots are trashy

Carolina Landing, SC- do not recommend! See photos— broken blinds throughout, bugs, cobwebs and dead bugs over oven fan, EVEN old urine still behind toilet! I brought this to their attention (Sharon) day one and not one time did she or anyone else offer to reclean, move our cabins, or spray for bugs! I was so disappointed in our experience… I don’t consider this normal customer service or conditions of a cabin that was over $1000 for 6 nights! We reached out again the day we left… no response! I’ll recomment on this post if Donna or Sharon reach out to make things right and give an update…
