Kennel Care is the best place for your pet! My dog January absolutely loves Peter and the staff. I've had a wonderful experience with both Daycare and overnight boarding. I especially appreciated the sweet daily report cards updating me on her stay while I was away. It really made me feel she was in good hands!

1. Do not book here If you are the parent of a disabled pet!! My pet sees a Vet on a normal basis and has struggled physically, lately, moreso than normally. He suffers from Hip Dysplasia, as well as terrible Allergies. He takes daily meds, and is a huge part of our family, immediate and non. Everyone knows our dog's story, and supports us in his journey. This is the first facility that I would NOT feel comfortable leaving him at. From the beginning, the Manager butted in my conversation with a friendly front desk staff: a friendly male, who was rather new. Dark hair, and inquisitive as well as so sweet.She questioned my dog's condition when I mentioned his hip issue, and made sure that he only booked him for a day, as if they did not have time to care for him.2. I had been booked for the week, as well as emailed over, all requested documentation. Upon arrival, I was told that I was not booked, and that the person who had booked me was new, and had probably made a mistake. This was a huge last minute inconvenience, as we were traveling at the time. There was never an apology.I hope that the Manager learns that her approach with people should change with the circumstances. She needs to learn that her duties do not just include putting into conversations, and talking over potential clients. A title does not make you a professional. The way you carry yourself does.3. Lastly, "Respect is due to a dog". This is a term that is used often in the South. But it is literal in this situation. Learn to be empathetic. Have respect for people and pets, especially if you have no clue, the situation at hand. We have considered euthanization lately. This visit caused depression for us during a time which should have been fun. The Manager caused a scene, called other employees outside to look at my pet like a "Circus Act". It was extremely humiliating for us as well as our LOVED and respected, disabled dog. We changed our plans and spent the week revolving around him. I would never go to this place again, or trust them with my baby.Positive Note:I applaud the new guy in training up front. Keep up the good work. Your personality will take you very far. Also, the gentleman with long dark hair and ear decor, Thank you!! You were the only staff member who checked on us. We appreciate your sincere apology.

I can't express enough gratitude to Kennel Care. my dog slipped from his harness and took off, they were quick to lend a hand. Not only did they show genuine concern, but they also provided me with a pull-proof leash. Their kindness and assistance, even though I wasn't their customer, speak volume about their commitment to pets and their owners. Thank you from the bottom of my heart<3

My Bentley was so happy at the facility and loved Cuddle Time Story Telling. The pictures staff took proved how well he was treated over 18 days. I highly recommend them and look forward to boarding Bentley again on my next trip

I love Kennel Care for my Bandit!! The staff is so nice and patient with him!! They just let Bandit be Bandit. LOL. And I love getting a report card each day telling me what Badit did that day and pictures showing his "play" time. ❤️

They took excellent care of our dog while we were away. It was our first time apart from him and they made us feel comfortable and he was better for being there. He is no longer timid around other dogs and is very well socialized! Definitely bringing Reeses back!

I came home from a long day to find that the lovely folks at KC had taken our sweet Pepper’s first birthday picture and made it into a magnet for us while she was in daycare today. So, so grateful to have such thoughtful and caring people helping us care for our girl. Thank you for all you do!!

My Akita, Yoshi, is welcomed in each time by the staff there. He gets pampered by Martha, you are wonderful, and loved on especially by the general manager , Jess Fullmer!There is genuine care and love for all the animals at kennel careYoshi is always excited to get there for his spa day and looks great when he is done!They are most accommodating for my very large dog with bad knees.He walks well but can sĺip and they are careful with himThank you Kennal Care for loving him like your own!!

I've taken my cat here a couple times, the boarding area for them is very spacious and CLEAN, the little condos they get during their stay are really cute. The staff are also pleasant and very attentive to feeding/care instructions.My fur son always seems calm and well adjusted when I come pick him up, which is a good sign. He's been very quiet and withdrawn after picking him up from other kennels in the area. I don't mind the drive there, I live downtown and the kennel itself is situated in a quiet little area of Elgin. I will be returning here for sure.

Wonderful place and staff! I have been taking my little Jax here for daycare while i am at work each day. He gets so excited each morning when i tell him we are going to 'school' and almost jumps into their hands when we get there. Not only do they really care for the animals but they are a great font of knowledge when it comes to questions and concerns. Cannot recommend enough!

Great place for your cat to lose weight and smell like urine when you pick them up. Our cat didn’t eat for a few days and was told I probably talked to the manager, that never happened! Also, I packed two cat toys which were never taken out of the bag for him to have something to do. I won’t be being returning :( 0/5 Stars

I was told over the phone I could pick up my dogs on Saturday even if the desk closes at 2 because the techs are still there; but when I called the day of pick up I was told I couldn’t pick them up until Sunday. I was charged for Sunday pick up of a total of $27 even though I was told Saturday after 2pm was fine. They will work with your dogs that have stress/anxiety/abandonment issues; and give you daily updates/photos. My dogs came back in one piece and I am thankful for that. Thank you for keeping my mind at ease during this time as they have never been left in a boarding facility or away from me.

Last week my daughter took her boxer/lab mix family dog to board for one day. Boosie has allergies, hip dysplasia, and he is old. The employees looked at him with disgust stating they could not board him because of how he looked. Wow! There was no empathy or compassion regarding his condition. This is unacceptable and I wander how you could treat people and family pets that way. Regardless of what he looks like he is still a living thriving animal.

Prices were raised too high by new management as part of the American greed cycle. They also implemented a crazy rule on bringing food with your pet, which makes no sense. The new prices are not justified by the services provided. Especially considering when your dog comes home dirty and smelling like urine because they didn’t get to go out enough. But of course, for an additional fee they will wash your pet but don’t expect a groomer quality wash. Staff are professional though.

Great friendly and caring kennel for my cats staycation. Clean and comfy, Prudence was well taken care of and she really enjoyed the “free to roam” time so she could stretch her legs and get a peek at her roommates. My vacation was that much better knowing she was safe and well cared for.

I boarded my 6 month old Shitzhu puppy for 4 days while on vacation and had to extend for an additional day due to a delay in travel. They took very good care of him and the process to make reservations and extend his stay was seamless. The staff was very friendly and courteous and seem to have a true love for the pets they care for. I will definitely use their services again!

My GSD was in perfect condition when I dropped her off on Thursday afternoon. I called to check on her Saturday I was placed on hold when she came back she keep referring my dog as him telling me how good he was doing. When I picked my dog up Sunday her arms and legs had missing fur as well as her mouth was raw. I will never take my dog back to this place. The weekend was not booked under my name. No I did not did I say last weekend. Would have been 3 or 4 weeks ago. I just got around to this post. I asked about her lip and was told she was chewing on the gate. Which one is it her name is Riley Jacobs and I have your receipt. If there was an issue what was a never told?

Appears my pup was well taken care of. The only thing I wish was handled differently is why I was charged a “large” upgrade of $4 x 3 that I’m not sure why it was on my invoice.

The staff is very dedicated and caring. This was the first time our pup was boarded and the staff was very sensitive to this matter. They encouraged us to call them to get updates on our pup which we did.Be sure to let staff of any dietary restrictions so they can take the necessary precautions.

Our Rottie has been staying with Kennel Care since relocating to SC in June of 2022. He is a "frequent flyer" as I call it for both short and long stays. I cannot say enough about the staff and care he receives. He is always so excited to go and we have NEVER had an issue! I also want to compliment Kennel Care on the upgraded communication before and after the stays. The website looks amazing also! I want to Thank Jess, Peter and the rest of the entire staff (I cannot remember everyone's name) for taking such good care of our baby! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! For us, it is worth the few extra miles the other way (when not heading to 95N) just for him to be safe and happy!
