I've never personally gone here! Although I have called for environmental assistance a few times and I got an urgent response from them afterwards. After requesting help, an environmental worker came to my residence and set up several traps to catch unwanted cats and possums from my yard!! Once the traps were set and in place, they left. It was a waiting process after that. After a few days passed, they returned to my residence to check the traps they had set. If any success, they retrieved the traps and took whatever caught back with them! I recommend Florence County Environmental Services to anyone needing assistance removing unwanted or uninvited critters from your yard!! Friendly employees also! Highly recommended! They also offer assistance with other types of Environmental issues!! I'll definitely use them again if needed!

I had called this people for a stray Cat I've taken Care of for a very long time he has been here as long as I have the cat was born on my back Deck I named him Blondie cause that was the color of his hair he came.stuck around to my house then we started letting him In he's been tremendously sick I've healed him he has gotten sick over and over I kept healing him sometimes when he goes out to see his buddies he would take off for several days it did worry me then just last week he took off for a couple of days came back with very very serious wounds on his head started seezing really bad his last seizer was yesterday he had one so bad he it sounds like a washing machine hitting the wall he couldn't even come out of this one I thought this place was gonna save him instead I call back the next morning at 8:30 found out my buddie had another seizer these folks must get their jollys off of killing anmnial I offered some free cat food cause I didn't think any to be reminded he said no we got enough I hate to say it I think that officer lied TO ME!! He said we only try to help sick dogs two days later I said to my self yeah KILL EM NOT HELP THEM I WAS DEVASTATED BIG TIME IM 60 YEARS OLD I HELPED MOMMA RAISE HER BABIES AND SOMETHING AND OR AOMEONE CAUSED HEAD INJURY TO MY FAVORITE BUDDIE MY NEXT STEP WAS GONNA TAKE HIM TO THE VET TO GET ALL HIS SHOTS GET HIM FIXED SO HE WOULDNT BE SICK AFTER MY DOG PASSES WAY IM NOT GETTING ANYMOR! IM A HEAET PAITENT THIS ABOUT KILLED MY HEART!!!!made me soooo Sad to see them kill them instead of trying to help them never again will I use these people!

I have had 3 experiences with these people. The first, a 3 month old fawn had been hit by a car. Still alive. I sat with it as it cried, and me too. When they got there, they picked the baby up by his feet and tossed him extremely hard into their truck. Showed no respect. The second, a dog at our neighborhood grocery in effingham had been hit. It was raining, very cold. It took them 2.5 hours to get there. The dog was alive and kept trying to get up and couldn't. Also his skin was peeled back from his neck to his hips. Today, I called to ask them if they had seen my 3 legged gray tabby missing since sun. PM. They laughed throughout the conversationGuess they thought it was a joke. You dont have to be very intelligent to get this job, but please act like you care!!

I called 6 mths ago and still no one has been to our area for clean up services, despite the three attempts I have made to contact them. I was told to be patient because they use the inmates to do those services. I think 6 mths is long enough.

This place is not for pets. My two cats were taken there to be rehomed, but we returned to get them back and found them flea infested after 5 days in this facility.

They took care of my missing dog as she had to be put down before we could get to her. They were very professional and sympathetic when we picked her up.
