I found this store to be charming. They have snacks, drinks, ice cream, books, postcards, touristy stuff galore, and your usual gas station fare (headache relief etc.)There are two stores on either side that sell art and beachwear.The postcards are 35 cents each. Cheap!

The general store has all kinds of stuff from groceries to beach towels to fishing gear to cooking supplies and more! The gift shop connected to it is a small shop stuffed to the brim full of tchotchkes. Not really any locally made arts/crafts. There is a small beach wares and souvenir shop adjoins on the other side. They sell gasoline here also.

Credit card declined twice at pump. Owner acted like it was my problem. Was kind of stand offish regarding using the card inside.I went to enMarket and card worked fine. Not a good experience.

This is a convenience store with two very nice gift shops on either side. At the Edistonian you will find locals and visitors alike. I will shop one of the gift shops for things to go in my home because they have beautiful items, not just t-shirts and items that say you visited Edisto Beach. Of course I shop the other gift shop as well as the rest of the gift shops on Edisto Island. We support the economy of Edisto Island/Beach all that we can. We love where we live - why wouldn't we show our support!?!

Friendly staff with solid fishing advice. They have the least expensive ice cream cones on the island and my family thinks they have the best boiled peanuts.
