We just tried a new spot for us on Edisto Island. They are a little ways out of town and in a new building. Everyone got a different dish to get a range of their cooking. The fish taco was good as were the shrimp and grits. My fried shrimp were a little overcooked and on the tough/dry side. My Bride had shrimp creole which was somewhat tasty but needed more seasoning. They are new so we will give them a 2nd try!!!

We had a wonderful experience with the staff of Edingsville!! We came to the beach for my daughter’s birthday and wanted to get her a cake. The options are sparse especially the day of for fresh birthday cakes. They delivered an excellent cake on short notice and it was outstanding!!

This place was so good we went back the next day for seconds! The owners Robert & Russel were so friendly & Cathy the bartender was a hoot! We tried both shrimp appetizers & I had shrimp & grits for dinner. All were delicious! We returned for lunch the following day & I tried the chicken livers. They were sprinkled with pickled celery & served with a creole honey mustard sauce. Delish! (nothing like McDonald's as a previous review said) Their sides are also spectacular - especially the rice hash & yellow squash! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!

Great restaurant, at a reasonable price. The food is outstanding with excellent service. Fish, shrimp, crab and hushpuppy, how wonderful, everyone loved their lunch choices. The ambience is peaceful, with nice of acoustic music in the background. The artwork (for sale) is fun and local. Truly one of our most favorite places.

Food is fabulous! Grouper on grits was delicious, the seafood platter was the best ever with large sea scallops and oysters grilled to perfection plus flounder with great flavor, shrimp creole my father-in-law raved about, and even the sweet potato fries were excellent. We went twice this week, and may go again. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, bartender was on point. Highly recommend!

My first visit to Edisto Island for our 25th anniversary and I was introduced to the best dining experience in the low country. The food was exceptional and the service was down home friendly. I struggled with my food choice but I do love fresh crab so Mary Susan's Crab Cakes was the choice for me. I was not disappointed. My husband vied for the Fishing Creek Shrimp and Grits. He orders shrimp and grits all over the SC state and he places this flavorful dish in 2nd place. That is only because he had to put my shrimp and grits first or move to the dog house. We will be back Friday

Excellent crab sandwich. The Hash on Rice side was also very good.We experienced a flat tire while we were parked there. The owner went out of his to line us up with a tire shop.Southern hospitality is still alive on Edisto Island, SC.

Tasty! We had the seafood platter, fried shrimp and the blackened grouper with bernaise sauce over grits. The hush puppies were super crispy and the fish was seasoned just right. They also had a variety of homemade desserts to choose from . They looked tasty but I didn't sample them because I was so full from my meal.Kid-friendliness: The wait staff was kind to my son who still has trouble sitting to dine. He gets sort of antsy. That wasn't an issue here. It was nice to not get rude glares of disapproval as we ate. The waitress even engaged him in conversation.

Super friendly bartender and very quaint ambiance at this new(ish) edisto establishment. The she crab soup was phenomenal! I got the shrimp platter and the rice was very good, the shrimp were fresh I could tell and cooked perfectly but something tasted off, I think I just wasn’t a fan of the seasoning they used. Cocktail sauce helped with that. But the stewed veggies were off the chain, I could eat a platter of those alone!! Great portions too. What a wonderful addition to the edisto food scene!

Our family and friends enjoyed a delicious meal and wonderful service at this adorable roadside gem. The Frampton Inlet Shrimp, the fried seafood platter (flounder, shrimp and oysters), shrimp and grits and BBQ sandwich were all delicious! We were met with warm and friendly service just like you would expect in a small southern town. Our food came out in a timely manner despite the restaurant being very busy on a Friday evening!A wonderful dining experience all around! We also love the decor of the restaurant! You can tell the owners Robert and Russell put their hearts and souls into this place! 💗

Great friendly service, coastal ambiance and fabulous food! I had the Mary Susan's Crab Cakes and was in Heaven! Fresh crab bought that day--no imitation crab in this dish! It was two big cakes with sides. The rest of our party of seven loved their dishes, too. I have to stress the friendly customer service! We all loved the coastal furnishings in the dining area and in the bar area.

The meal was delicious. There are many items to choose from, including a kid's menu.The atmosphere was relaxing, but with a taste class. Casual attire is fine and friendly staff. Definitely will go back again.Parking: On the side of building.

Ok I never write reviews, but had to make an exception for this! My family and I went there the other day for lunch. The wait staff were awesome and super friendly. I chose to have th shrimp appetizer for lunch, and it was amazing. So good that my wife and son also enjoyed a good share of it! Wife had the fish taco, and also one of the best I've ever had. We even got a serving of shrimp and grits, and honestly I hate grits, but would without question order this for myself. It was so good that we returned the next night for dinner. We each decided to have the shrimp appetizers so we could have dessert after, and were not disappointed. Desert was the pound cake for my wife, and my son and I had the chocolate brownie cake. Absolutely to die for!! We come to Edisto Beach at least once a year, and will definitely have to add this to our must do list for dinning out! The absolute best place for lunch and dinner in the area!

We went to Edingsville Grocery while visiting Edisto last week. It was so good I’d drive back from Ga just to eat again!! We had fried oysters, shrimp , flounder with red rice, squash casserole and rice hash(amazing) amongst our sides. All were excellent as was the unique shrimp appetizer, sauteed in olive oil and herbs. It was so enjoyable we ‘sopped’ the remaining sauce in the bowl with french bread. Service was great and bar had plenty of interesting mixed drinks and beer. Don’t miss this place. We won’t.
