Excellent Service. Beautiful views. Typical old style bar. High top seating. Nice views of the ocean. Chicken BLT wrap was very good. Fried shrimp platter with fries. It was very tasty, and the batter was freshly made. Fries were crispy and prepared to order. The onion rings were excellent. Restrooms could use a little help. The gift shop is close by with a large assortment of goods to purchase.

Hey, going into Coot’s - we knew that this is a local dive bar. I love dive bars - actually seeking them out. Dive bars can have decent food. Coot’s really does not. Below average at the best. On the other hand, dive bars can have a great vibe! Coot’s has this and more. Super cool and friendly locals, the atmosphere is excellent and fun. I will say this for sure - when you are the only spot in town, you can get away with 6 out of 10 taps dry, awful pours in mixed drinks and terrible service.

Delicious food! Fresh shrimp in the bot wrap and the bam bam appetizer. It had a coating with sauce and black sesame seeds. Also had the fried flounder. Fries were hot and delicious and plentiful.

My family and I just spent a week on Edisto Beach and had a wonderful time. We ate at many of the awesome restaurants.I ordered Diet Pepsi at this establishment and it was flat so I asked the older waitress with reddish brown hair in pigtails if I could get something else. She got a cup and tested it for herself and hatefully said “taste fine to me”. Our service went downhill from that and she continued to be rude to our entire table throughout the visit. The pizza crust taste store bought but the toppings were plentiful and delicious. The other waitresses were very friendly. One got me a water while I waited for the tea to be made.

This is a great place for a restaurant but besides being over priced they add state tax, processing fees and liquor taxes to your bill. No where else on the island are these taxes and fees added to your bill except for state taxes. The waitress came to our table and said if you want something to drink go to the bar and order it yourself. We were stunned. Needless to say after that we went to other places on the island for meals.

The server we had was very distracted and disinterested in what she was doing. We had to request drinks several times before they arrived, and would often be responded to with "I forgot".The food was terrible, except the fried pickles and french fries. The fish sandwich I had tasted like freezer, and the breading wasn't so great. My son had the chicken fingers, and they were dry and inedible.Overall, for the pricing, this place is somewhere you should avoid. With the limited options on Edisto Island, you may choose to eat at your accommodations instead.

We had a day trip to Edisto Island for the Turtlefest at Edisto Beach State Park and ate here for lunch. We got a Hawaiian pizza with breadsticks and I've gotta say, the breadsticks were immaculate and the pizza was delicious. It was very windy since we ate outside. Also saw a Vanderhall Venice :)Parking: There is parking around the building though it is on dirt parking lots and somewhat difficult to find.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp to get up

Beach bar and restaurant. On their menu they have pizzas, appetizers, sandwiches and if you want a dish, you have three to choose from. It has a nice patio, if you prefer to eat outside. There are no umbrellas, but I guess it's because of the strong breeze,since it is just above the sea.The atmosphere is familiar,but for my opinion,the music is too loud.There is also a small stage with drums,so at some point there is live music.The food has been excellent (grilled chicken sandwich, and Bom Bom shrimp) The service was very friendly, professional and fast. The only thing I didn't like was the bathrooms, quite dirty. But keep in mind that it is on the beach. If you are in the area, it is the restaurant with the best views.

The food was just ok. I had a fried flounder sandwich with fries. The fries were crisp and tasty. The service was wonderful, even though they were busy. The view from the Pier is gorgeous. We enjoyed eating outside. Our server was a young lady with straight blonde hair, and she did a great job. I would've like a more diverse menu of seafood. Cocktails were great. Plenty of free parking.

Patronize this place three times. The service and food was pleasant, so much so, during our next visit, I decided to patronize them again. Food was still good, however, the service suffered. Well, we all can be off our game a time or two, so I didn’t make a big fuss about the experience. The nail in the coffin was the poor service, attitude and “take out” charge I incurred on what would be my last visit. The take out charge was the deal breaker for me.

Laid-back bar and grill located off HWY 174 in Edisto Beach. The food was good and hot. We had the pizza. They have a full bar and full views of the beach. Nice spot to go get a beer or adult beverage and kick back. We visited the bar while camping in Edisto Beach State Park. Please go check them out today and support your local businesses.

Very good food and great drinks. Loved being able to sit on the pier, we did have to fight off the biting knats though. I Had the burger and husband had a bacon chicken wrap, both very good, fries were good. Waitress and waiter were awesome. This is the sunset we watched while enjoying our meal.

Dropped by to have a couple of cocktails mid afternoon. It took a few minutes to get our first round of drinks because the bar tender was working solo and the place was quite busy. That being said, the bar tender was friendly and happy to make our drinks.We grabbed a table out on the pier, which was really nice.We never tried any food, but we saw some pizzas that looked yummy.I really liked the vibe of this place. I would return for drinks and a bite of food.

Dined at Coots, the oceanfront restaurant & bar, and I must say, they really know how to make waves in the culinary scene! The view was so breathtaking; I almost forgot to breathe between bites. The seafood was so fresh; it could have auditioned for a talent show. The chef must have a PhD in "fish-ics" because my taste buds experienced some serious enlightenment.The bar staff deserves a round of applause for their ocean-themed cocktails – they're like the Shakespeare of mixology, creating liquid poetry in a glass. I asked for a cocktail with a twist, and they delivered – literally, there was a tiny umbrella involved. It's safe to say I was all at sea with delight.As for the service, it was so attentive that if I dropped a fork, someone would catch it before it hit the ocean floor. The staff at Coots clearly know their way around both the kitchen and the comedy stage. It's not just a restaurant; it's a seafood stand-up special. So, if you're looking for a place to shell-ebrate, dive into Coots – where the food is fin-tastic, and the puns are off the scale!

Great location beach front pavilion with a pier, a restaurant and a store all combine under one roof, I have some of the pizza and the staff was really patient and helpful, the views from the inside were amazing, I really recommend these store. We park outside the store and just walk less than 20 feet over a sand dune and we were in front of the Atlantic Ocean.

Sat outside on the deck. Beautiful views of the beaches and the ocean. Food was very good. Had calamari apps shrimp basket and a margarita. Wonderful day with friends!

Nice place on the ocean to come for a drink. You can sit inside or outside on the deck. We had some appetizers, which were pretty good. There's a huge gift shop attached to the building which also carries items for the for the beach.

My wife and I wanted to try out Coot's for the pizza because a local shop recommended it and we were really hungry. We decided on the pepperoni and a couple of drinks. My wife got the Edi-slow Fizz, which she thought was delicious, and my beer was just ok. When it came to the pizza we went with the pepperoni because she loves pepperoni and since the menu said "topped with a generous portion of pepperoni" we figured we couldn't go wrong. Well the pizza came out and we had to hold back laughter, you may not see it in the picture but there were actually 17 pepperonis on the pizza and not just the 16 you see...generous must have a different meaning down here. The pizza didn't have much flavor but we werent going to waste a bite, and for $18 we would expect to get a piece of pepperoni for each dollar.We would recommend finding a few frozen pizzas at food lion and they would still be better.
