Love this place! I’m usually a Dollar General shopper, but this Family Dollar has my business when I need something in Cottageville. ♥️ The employees are so friendly and helpful, and the store is always clean when I go in. Price wise, it’s Family Dollar… so I can’t complain about that.

Until recently my shopping experience at this location has been pleasant and productive. There is a young lady working in this store that need to improve her customer service skills. On two occasions, I have finished my shopping to come to the register at she is out on the aisle. I saw a bell on the first register as I was about to tap it, she walks up and asked me to hand her the bell. I said no. We are at the register you can get your bell once I have completed my purchase. She leaves from behind the counter and gets the bell anyway. Second time was last night same cashier working. When her co-worker informs her that I am at the register she yells, "there is a bell up there"!. I have been in customer service over 20 years, that is not the attitude or mindset to have. First, once you are aware that customers are on the store, you keep an eye on the register. Second, you don't talk about them as if they don't have common sense. This store has not been there long, I hate to see it get a bad reputation because of one employee. Please address this issue.

Previous employee, I would rather work for Irene Brit in the walterboro store. She treats her employees like people she's not bias and judgemental. Now as far as the store is concern it is well organized and clean. The store manager just need to stop favoring others over one another and treat everyone equally. Cause the one you favor do not have the best interests at heart

There were some drink dispensers on the shelf and the only tag that was there was a $1 tag. Well I checked out and happen to look at my receipt and they charged me 16$ for each one of them. I went back in and talked to the cashier and she said there was nothing she could do about or the manger and I said I would like to talk to the manger anyways. She said fine she is over there so I go up to the manger and told her about the situation and she said customers move stuff around all the time she can’t do anything about the item being in a dollar spot she could only give me a return I understood that but the way they had said it and talked to me about it was so ridiculous it was unreal.

Love this store greeted nicely every time I go there and all employees speak to you very nice and clean, love the coupons and deals way better than other store in town! Keep it up guys, gals!

I will say since their renovation it really looks good. More organized and less junky. They are having some decent sales, so with the app and coupons you can really get some good deals.

Apparently the F word is fully customary amongst children and patrons every single time you visit this location from one particular employee. Fully understandable that retail can be frustrating...however it is absurd how often she uses this language.

Customer service is horrid here. I have tried to visit this location a couple times because it is conveniently located on my way home and well stocked. The customer service is just plain terrible though I do not recommend this location to anyone. I will go across the street to the dollar general that is a little more expensive and way more cluttered just to avoid the horrible customer service.

Both of cashiers had masks on, but the one who was getting off work had no mask on.When I reminded her that masks are required in the store for all shoppers and she got a real attitude. I will take my business to all the other family dollar stores from now on. Thank you.
