Store has a wide variety of DG items. But I don't like the idea that the restroom has been out of order for months. This is a rule area so by the time you get to the store you may need to use the restroom. It irritates so much until I don't even like shopping there. 😒

I've always enjoy shopping there except for the time I bought some dog treats and it almost crippled my Boykin Spaniel. Had to rush him to the emergency vet, $500.00 later, you know the rest. He is still recovering. 4 days later. Don't buy Heartland Farms Rawhide Sticks. They're made in China

It's convenient if you live in cottageville. Always has what I'm looking for from pet food to small grocery items and pharmacy things - it faces the same issues all retail stores of this nature are going through; staff shortage leading to discontent with customers which puts unfair pressure on the staff. I've never experienced a rude staff member there and although there are unstocked items in the aisles (which seems a standard for most Dollar Generals I go into) I always see someone working on getting it done. Thanks to all the employees that show up and keep the store open! 🙏🏾

Nasty nasty store. Store Smells horribly. Sour milk spilled in refrigerator units. Floors haven't been mopped the in months. Can't get down isles because new inventory is on roller racks. No employees doing anything except flirting with other workers. Music is loud and nasty.. I visit this store daily but will be doing my business now with Family dollar. Should go back and take photos

Love this location! They are always clean and their stocking carts don't completely block entire store. Plus their shelves are usually stocked well and neatly. Sales clerks are always helpful and friendly. I always try to go to this store if I can!

Friendly staff and most of the time pretty clean. The one thing that I do not like is there is often merchandise piled up everywhere and the isles are so cluttered. Also the registers have little room to put your supplies because they are always filled with all those things children want to grab at the last minute.

Definitely need more employees. Stock is coming in and the employees that work there cannot do it all. Customers cannot get to the items due to carts blocking shelves. Need to hire stockers. Cannot get down the aisle due to carts! Something doesn't change afraid Dollar General at this time is going to get less customers. Other option is Family Dollar. The employees that work there now are helpful and can not do everything. I heard to many talks about this they like shopping the store but are fed up with the inconveniences they have to go thru to shop there. Whoever is in total charge of this store really needs to pay attention before it is too late!!

The place is a mess they remodeled around the 9/01/18 and as of 9/19/18 you can't walk down over half of aisles because they have 5 to 6 carts of stuff in the aisle. Before they remodeled the aisles might have a cart in the aisle someone was working out of. I would suggest that they load the shelf after close of business. Put on a crew at night to stock shelf. I will give them another try in 3 to 4 weeks to see if the store got it's act together.

It needs to be cleaned up and the outside is definitely an eye sore. The organization is horrible.On the other side though, they are stocked pretty well and staff for the most part is friendly and helpful.I mean it's just little Wal-Mart can't expect much more than what you get...

There is always a long wait and the cashiers don't speak. maybe one or two that will.It's usually just one cashier with a long line of people. They actually open a family Dollar right down from the dollar general that I go to the most now. There's no long lines the cashiers greet you soon as you walk in the store.

They had a lot of things in stock. I was impressed with how many different kinds of canned and dry goods groceries they have. The personnel were pleasant and courteous.

They need help, staff. The ones there are doing the best while we all struggle getting past together this epidemic and hardship that SC ignored, McMasters dropped the financial aid, many should have got instead of struggling because he is an idiot Republican.

This is my FAVORITE Dollar General anywhere!! I use to work here and loved it!! Current employees are amazing and make all there coustomers feel like family!! Ms Sharron is amazing is I just love her soooo much!!!! They recently remodeled, which is what cottageville needed, and it looks great!! They have more food items now in there freezer section!!!

This store is disgusting and employees are rude very bad management job, boxes thrown all over the parking lot! When asked about it they said that’s not there job need to hire someone for that job then! Will be taking my business to the nice clean and friendly family dollar right down the road! It’s a shame they haven’t been fined by city or scdhec!

terrible store. racist staff that get off on accusing little african american children of stealing. not enough staff. the store looks unorganized no one is ever at the register you practically have to beg to get checked out. please don't ask for help just look yourself that's what they'll tell you anyways . me and my family will travel to walterboro before we ever give this pathetic excuse of a store our money .

If you want to get lied on and followed around go to general dollar here.they have a cashier that's a gossips about custmors .if you buy something and have to return it because it doesn't work this cashier will tell custmors you stole it..let me explain I bought a Verizon cell phone from there for my trip to California back in June well I had to buy another because that one stop working well I took it back with box and receipt,in hand .this cashier told customers I stole it hmmm..I did call home office on this ..so we will see how far it goes..

This place is usually medium-busy. Great selection of stuff that you need (and stuff you don't). Quality and friendly staff are always willing to help.

I have always loved to shop at Dollar General but within the last 6 months to a year this store has continuously going downhill it is dirty it is cluttered but the employees are always friendly maybe they're overworked I do not know why they cannot keep that store straight and clean the owners must not want to hire enough help or pay them properly or maybe people are just not wanting to work they need to clean it up!

Worst one I been to. They were stocking the store at lunch time and had almost every row blocked off. Also the ladybat the register is rude and rushes you. Will go out my way before going back to this backwoods redneck store. DG should take a look into this place.

It's a great dollar store to stop by at if you need anything on your way home. Aisles are very cluttered and hard to get through.
