Absolutely recommend, I’ve made multiple purchases here. Fish and food has all arrived in great condition in a very timely manner, and most importantly every fish arrived alive! Great facility and great service. Only place I purchase my discus from. I only wish I had found them sooner lol. And if you haven’t already I highly recommend the black worms they offer. All my fish love them and have been much healthier since the change.

My husband and I chose Myrtle beach discus to purchase our first discus from and it was an all around incredible experience! They were able to answer all our questions and share their knowledge so that we were sure to be prepared for our new fishies arrival! I had heard that people ship fish but had never done so ourselves and it was a bit nerve racking to think about but MBD went above and beyond In assuring that the fish were as safe and as comfortable as possible. They were quickly delivered and acclimated to their new home and new friends very well! I was very happy with my delivery. Fish very healthy. Packaged well. Took 4 days for them to start eating but I chalk that up to my inexperience and the fact that my quarantine tank heater was struggling to keep up and had to be replaced so they were cooler than i would have liked for 2 days. They are still very skittish 3 weeks in but they are very healthy and getting more brave. It's only a matter off time. Eating well now and in my community tank.

I received my second shipment from MBD yesterday and don't think I'll ever order from any other vendor. The fish were packaged beautifully and arrived in excellent condition. Within 20 minutes of being introduced to the QT tank, they were hunting for food. One of the fish was far bigger than I ordered, a very nice surprise! Highly recommend them for anyone looking for quality discus.

Fish never look like they should and come already peppered. Bad quality breeding.This was pictured and advertised as bright red fineline snakeskin. Ugly fish and nowhere close. Reached out to them and they were super rude. Buyer beware. Aquarium hobbyist 10+ years.

Mrytle Beach discus is a paradise of entire mini warehouse of the largest and literally biggest discus I’ve ever seen. Tanks and tanks and more tanks; every color / color combination. Never seen 5,6,7” discus until my visit yesterday. Gorgeous and serene. Super clean! Prices better than our local aquarium shops. I’m in Charlotte worth every mile driven. Jovan is owner and his assistant is very friendly and those guys know their discus! I now have 5, 6 and 7”. My tank of 4’s look puny against giants but no fighting, picking or hiding. Harmony! New Customer!!

Ordered 4 discus and they all came in quickly, shipped and packaged very well with heaters included as temp 50’s when they came in. All 4 fish are stunning and exactly what I was hoping for. Highly recommend, will order again.Pics of two of the fish going in QT the day I got them in.

Never ordered fish by shipping to door before but ordered x5- 2.5”discus from MBD because they were the closest to my location in NC and shipping was fair. Fish all came exactly as stated and were packaged really nice with cooler. Did the acclimate process and all still alive 1 month later, love the color on these reds, hopefully I’ll have them for some years. Make sure you keep the temp up I have these at 84.5-85-f and bi-weekly water changes and are all eating well, no issues thus far. Wish I got maybe 2 more but will see how it goes, may add 2 more soon tho as they are cool looking fish. Thanks again.

I made an order a few months ago and the carrier did not handle the shipment correctly. As soon as I opened the box and found the fish in great distress and barely any water I immediately got them in my tank and reached out to Myrtle Beach Discus. They promptly responded and even called to check on the fish and walk me through any care and concerns I had. They even followed up the next day. They have amazing customer service and really care about the fish. Because of this I just placed my 2nd order and can nor wait for them to get here.

I wanted to love them, but I've got to say I'm leaning towards unimpressed. Was told by online customer service to not believe my lying eyes regarding the size of fish I received and that fish floating sideways at the surface of the water in their bag and gasping for air was normal. Also normal according to online customer service is multiple layers of bags bursting in transit. I alerted them of these issues as a courtesy, not requesting any kind of refund or credit, and because I was concerned about aggression between my pre-existing discus and the new, smaller than expected ones. I expected to perhaps get a thanks for the heads up regarding the leakage issue and some advice to mitigate any bullying during integration, but what I received was what I can only describe as the kind of knee jerk petulant "nuh uh" response you expect from a surly teenager and not a business. I can only hope (and want to believe) that whoever answers online chats isn't Jovan.Edit: I've ordered a lot of fish online, some which are harder to ship than discus. This is the first time I've gotten a fish struggling to breathe with water leaking from their bag and have been told that it's okay.

Couldn't be happier with myrtle beach, been in touch with them over several months asking questions. They were very patient with us as we setup our new aquarium. After a few months we finally bought 6 discus from them. Followed there instructions they have on the website. 24 hours later we have happy and eating fish. All have beautiful colors. Packaging was very well done to get from them all the way to north idaho. Will be a repeat customer for at least supplies for now.
