This place is for the birds, and for people who love the flying critters. I thought their bags of seed were too expensive, not worth the price. But there's no waste, the seeds are shelled, so there's no mess to clean up! And what does fall is scooped up by the wrens and the few squirrels that can't get to the feeders. We get three types of woodpeckers, wrens, cardinals, finches, and Bluejays. The folks are great and give great advice, a wonderful store, a real treasure.

Lovely store, a little pricey, but the staff are knowledgeable and the quality is there in the product...most of everything in the store is environmentally friendly and neatly laid out.If you have a question, ask the staff! They're bird enthusiasts too.

Thanks to this store and their friendly, completely honest guidance, I get joy every day watching a variety of beautiful birds who have made my yard home base. Their pole system and squirrel-proof feeders are so successful that I feel sorry for the squirrels.They are great at answering questions and giving me guidance, even telling me that there were raccoons in my neighborhood (I didn’t think so) and advising me to put a raccoon baffle on my bluebird house pole. Turns out they are right! They know birds in this area and give great advice.They have products I can’t find anywhere else. They can be pricey, but when I’ve bought lower priced items, such as pole systems, elsewhere, they didn’t last and I ended up replacing with WBU. Learned my lesson.The wind chimes I bought there are one of my favorite things. You can get them tuned to the key you find most soothing.So glad they are here in Columbia.

Local family owned store that sells birding supplies. Also, they have bird baths and a full line of equipment for installing bird feeders. Friendly and very knowledgeable.

If you go here you will be hounded relentlessly if you do not ask enough questions. In the year 2018, shopping is done by careful comparison of ONLINE REVIEWS and ONLINE PRICES, NOT by putting up with annoying salespeople in stores. Stores that refuse to adapt to current shopping practices are not tolerated. Message to WBU of Forest Dr: LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE.
