Kristin and Cameron are very knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate how much they care for the well-being of these amazing animals. They took a lot of time and answered our endless questions as we were new to caring for reptiles. We wanted to build a custom enclosure and they helped us with all the lighting, accessories, and a lot of great advice to ensure our new friend would be happy and healthy. It was a long process and a lot of work but our new bearded buddy, "Norbert", couldn't be happier, and neither could we!

The best reptile store ever. My fiancé and I come from Sumter almost every week since before they even officially opened just to buy feeders for our snakes, check in, and look around. Recently we bought the sweetest red tail boa from them. She is super healthy and the owner helped us navigate our first boa wonderfully. The staff are super friendly, the store itself is very clean, well organized, and easy to navigate. I cannot give enough praise. If you are debating on getting a reptile or amphibian or just need supplies, this is absolutely the place to go if you live in South Carolina.

Love this store! The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Prices are decent, and they have a large selection of reptile items. They also have a great selection of various wood types. I come here every time I'm in the area.

This is going to be your new favorite spot to visit if you keep exotic pets like reptiles and invertebrates. It’s also the perfect place to get started with those pets. It’s so helpful to have a place like this to get real guidance without being overwhelmed by the arguing data online.Also worth mentioning: this is a family owned small business, if that is important for you. It means a lot to me. In this case I am very happy to be able to say The Creature Room has incredibly knowledgeable staff and management who are at the ready to help and answer questions whenever possible.In addition, They have helped me with creating a bio-active environment for my plants. If you have seen those pretty terrariums full of greenery and want to make a tiny ecosystem of your own, they have the appropriate supplies. From top to bottom they have all the right ingredients, including springtails, and isopods if you need them.The picture was taken in the store, a closeup of one of the enclosures. A cute little moss frog snuggled into a cork cave, just awoken by movement nearby (me lol)

It's hard to find a reptile place in the area. This place knocks it out of the park. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had a zen habitat on order and was waiting a long time to get it (order had no affiliation with this store). I saw a few of them settup there and ask how they were. Went with their opinion with another habitat, and I am very pleased with my purchase. Was so thankful they had the habitat ready for purchase.Everything your reptile needs is regularly available! Highly recommend this place. This will be my go-to place anytime I need something

What a neat place! The animals are the best kept that I have seen in a pet shop: they have proper habitats and seem very happy and healthy. I just bought my first ball python from there and the guys at the Creature Room were very patient and helpful with my questions.

We had a great experience at The Creature Room. They are extremely knowledgeable and are happy to answer any and all questions. They have a great selection of several different types and species of animals and it’s a cool experience to see everything.We had an issue with the first snake we purchased there and they gladly helped us with a return and choosing another snake. They are extremely communicative and fair and we could not be happier with our new milk snake (named ‘Tango’ by my son). He’s been with us for two weeks now and has had no issues eating and we’ve even handled him a couple times. It’s a great benefit to buy from The Creature Room because we know if there are any little issues, we can reach out and they are happy to offer us advice. We have bought a snake before from an online delivery type of place, but for a purchase like this, I would highly recommend going in store here and they’ll get you taken care of!

Very knowledgeable, clean, and kind! I visited for the first time today with my boyfriend for our new Bearded Dragon baby and he was super nice and helpful. He answered all of our questions and his products are great! His reptiles are extremally well-cared for and special. Definitely worth a visit!

It's about time Columbia has a fantastic reptile store. Enclosures are well decorated and they are very knowledgeable about their animals. I drive 30 minutes every week to pick up feeders from them because their prices are the best in the area and I enjoy going there. Highly recommend.

I live in Sumter and just happened to stop by while I was at Costco and I can say I was impressed. The store is super clean and well kept. They have everything clearly labeled and what isn't out on the floor is clearly written in a board behind the counter (that's not common in most of the reptile stores I've been in). They have a really good selection of reptiles, equipment, and invertebrates. I will be going back for any and all my reptile needs.

This is a great shop for all your reptile or invert needs! They have a great selection of things you just won't find in the chain stores from decor to enclosures to exotics.It's is also run by very kind and knowledgeable people, who are sure to help you in any ways you need.And if you just want to stop in to see some cool animals, it's also what you're looking for!!

Great local reptile and exotic pet store - these folks have the supplies and advice you need if you have or are thinking about getting an exotic pet! Good brands and they have the things you can’t find at a chain pet store - banded crickets (so much easier than house crickets!), quality bioactive substrates, info display cards for exotics (even isopods and others), full range of lighting options (best Arcadia selection around), and more. Plus some really neat animals on display in store and they are well cared for.

We found this shop almost by accident. The guys were awesome and showed us around the store, pulling out animals as we went so that we could get a better look at them. If you are looking for a pet that isnt like everything else in the other pet stores then this is a must see place. I was surprised at how many different animals, including a frilled lizard and an emerald tree boa, that this place has. We ended up getting a tessre(?) Morph corn snake with beautiful colors. I will definitely be back at some point.

We visited The Creature Room after a friend recommended it to us. The entire family enjoyed the clean and friendly environment, as well as the passion for reptiles (and all creatures) from owners Cameron and Kristin. We wanted a specific snake they did not have in the store, but while we were there, they were able to locate one and have it shipped in less than a week. We are now owners of a beautiful and healthy Florida King Snake, and we couldn't be happier. We also created a bio-active terrarium with products from The Creature Room. Thank you Cameron and Kristin. We'll be back, and will be referring friends to your store!

this place is absolutely amazing with so many wild and interesting creatures, fascinating in closures and all the products you could ever need to take of them. Staff has great selection of everything reptile related at prices much better than Petco/ PetSmart. They take great care of the animals and make sure they go to proper homes. Easily the best reptile store in the Columbia area.

Stumbled on this place when going to the fish store next door. The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to just talk about reptiles and insects! I talked to one of them for 10 minites just about tarantulas. Happy to have a great reptile store in Columbia.
