It is a pleasure to shop here. The staff is knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They will walk you to whatever item you are looking for and make sure all of your needs have been met. The store is clean and always looking at its best. Items are pulled to the front of shelves and stream line when you look down the aisles. They'll carry groceries to your car if you need it. Some items are a little more costly than other grocery stores but I believe the difference in cost is worth the shopping experience!

I love Publix. Every employee speaks whether at the register or working on refilling the shelves. They always ask if they can help me find something and get it for me if I can't reach it. Every single employee makes going to Publix an experience and a joyful Happy experience. I used to dread going to the grocery store but not anymore. Publix is now my favorite place and they have the most delicious fried chicken in the deli, beating out a lot of restaurants I've been too. If you haven't already been in Publix I urge you to try it. I promise you will never go anywhere else for groceries.

Pub Sub = yum! Always a good idea, just plan for a long line due to slower process of fresh cutting meat and cheese, adding individual sauces and veggies. We enjoy their white bread, Mayo, honey mustard, Publix sweet ham and bologna, onions, pickles, black olives, oregano and oil packet on the side. You can also choose Boar’s Head meats and cheeses for an upcharge.

They have the BEST BREAD - Italian Five Grain- and it makes the BEST toast ever!! Also, kudos to their pharmacy, still open on Saturdays and Sundays (thank goodness!). It is always clean and well stocked, and their online app is easy to use.😃

Wonderful customer service! My morning was off to a very bad start, but life goes on and I had to go pick up lunch for a coworker and myself. Long story short I spilled my drink all over the checkout counter as soon as I sat it down. I apologized profusely thinking that was par for the course today. Marsha, the cashier was simply wonderful and reassured me that the day could only get better from here. She was very kind and helped brighten my day when I really needed it!

This store has friendly employees. The lines were long but they were moving at great speed I did have to wait very long. The fruit selection is awesome. I always get great produce at great prices. On this trip I purchased collard greens. They look great on the outside however when I got home to cook them they were rotten with a white substance on the inside.

My husband went there yesterday and got us a sub and it was excellent. They don't short change you on anything. Very gourmet. Too bad we don't have a Publix in Sumter. For now on, every time we are in Columbia, we will stop by Publix on Forest Drive and get a sub!

Publix is always organized, and the employees are helpful. Groceries aren't cheap anywhere, and if you look for their specials, Publix isn't any worse than other grocery stores. I feel safe here and in the parking lot.

Clean, well lit, well stocked and a courteous staff. The store has all the department's you expect in a mid-end grocery store (deli, seafood, bakery, etc.) It's conveniently surrounded by many stores. It could use a bigger parking lot.

This place had an awful smell like the fish had turned bad. Went in looking for some bogo deals had to leave hurriedly due the the bad fish stench. Needs a good cleaning and some repairs.

The deli sucks and need people who actually work and move with a purpose. Even when I order online during non peak hours, they can never ever get it on time. I shouldn’t have to wait over an hour at 8 pm to get the sandwich I already ordered and paid for when there’s nobody in line at the deli. But I guess what takes so long is when the guy puts one ingredient on the bread, walks away for 5-10 minutes, comes back with one more ingredient , disappears again, and so on. Who know, maybe he’s busy growing the lettuce in the back. So finally when he actually gets around to making the sandwich, that process takes at least 15 min to make one. I got here at 8 pm when my order was supposed to be ready, literally one sandwich, and it’s 9:10 pm and my one sandwich is still not done.

The bakery department is the ABSOLUTE WORST! Twice I’ve placed orders in advance and when I’ve picked it up they have either lost the order or have not had it prepared. The managers response to the terrible service is piss poor. I would not recommend this location for quality service because it’s is absolutely terrible.

This is a outstanding supermarket. They always take care of you as a customer if you have any problems.The pharmacy here is phenomenal. They are always polite and ready to assist. The prescriptions are very affordable, and if something is very high, they'll figure out a way to assist you to see if you qualify for any discounts.

Super crowded. Publix has outgrown this location. Scale back or build new but this is a horrible location. Parking is a disaster and just overly crowded. Check out was fast considering the amount of people in there. Lots of open registers.

The deli and bakery have such wonderful items and staff who consistently have a positive attitude and make a genuine effort to provide whatever one might need. When grocery shopping can be enjoyable, you know that is a store to continue shopping in!

Great value, wonderful staff. Meat, produce, and bakery are especially good. The store will soon be enlarged by 10k SF so they will be able to add more products at great prices. Update 11/11/23: Still great! Deli subs are awesome. Every Wednesday seniors get 5% off their grocery total.

I ordered a half sheet cake, and 50 pieces of chicken Wednesday night. Well when I got to the store Saturday at 1:30pm to pick up my order, I went right to the bakery. The lady that I first had an interaction with went right to my child. She asked my daughter did she want a cookie. I stepped in and told her no. You do not go to a child, when the parent is right next to them. The right thing to do is ask the parent first. My child could be allergic to anything and she offered her a cookie. I then told her what I was there for. Any time I have had to go to Publix, I just tell them my name and my order is found. Well that was not the case here, I had to tell them my name, how big the cake was, the colors on the cake and what was on it. They told me they didn’t have my cake. Which I knew was a lie because I was looking directly at it and they walked past it 10 times. They didn’t close my cake up they just threw it in the box. No barcode or anything was on my cake for it to be scanned at the register. This bakery is so unprofessional and need to get new workers! The deli was so nice and got my chicken with no problem.
