The Petco on Percival Rd. in Columbia SC is my personal favorite. The aquatic staff is very knowledgeable and FRIENDLY. The saltwater set up is amazing with plenty of supplies. Beth and her team have been very welcoming towards my family and I. I have a Petco located closer but this one in Columbia is well worth the extra drive time for quality of knowledge and excellent customer service.

Beth helped me with the needs I had for my fish. She was personable and knowledgeable and I enjoyed her direction very much. All of the staff seemed very friendly. Very clean inside and calm.

I am so glad that they got my dog's favorite toy brand.. my dog loves every toy that squeaks and kills it. These toys are the best that we have ever bought. It lasted longer, and the squeaker still works 😊 They also have some dog treats that go per pounds.. my dog loves them ❤️

I have a Petco located closer but this one in Charleston is worth the extra drive time for quality of knowledge and customer service.

I had an email with a coupon for 10% off a $50 order only to find out it was for online order/in-store pickup. What exactly is the difference if I show up in person to select my items?I was told my reward points awarded me a $10 off coupon, but only good for a future purchase prior to expiring. Why not give me ten dollars off the current purchase?I’m rethinking being a Petco customer, there other options nearby. Your marketing team is trying too hard to maximize profit at the expense of customer loyalty.

Went to buy a new tank for turtle. Online said they had some in stock but none were on the shelf. A very nice associate went and looked for me in the back and saw one on the delivery pallet and brought it out to me. Very happy with the store and associates.

I brought my cats in to get their nails trimmed (walk-in service) and Savannah did an amazing job! My kitten doesn’t really let me trim her nails, and my adult cat is a bit more tolerant, but I’m afraid of trimming too short. It was so nice to be able to bring them in and be in and out quickly with a great result!

Very clean store. Animals looks like they are taken care of here. Staff members are helpful too. I would definitely recommend this pet store over others due to the updated facility and good customer service. When I was there, one of their employees were taking the snakes out of the cages to feed them in the back. They look healthy and well fed. They had a really good deal on live animals. All half off. And all fish tanks were one dollar per gallon, which is also a fairly decent deal.

The groomer did an amazing job. Especially explaining her professional opinion on shaving our pup. She walked up through the process. Kept us informed. She did a much better job than other Petco locations we’ve tried. I believe her name is Savannah.

I'm not going to drag the staff's customer service, but I am going to drag this store's ability to properly care for the animals that it sells/obtains. This store is clearly understaffed, by a lot. The staff, was super friendly, however, the animals... 100% should not be being sold in their current conditions. The ball pythons were covered in mites, they need to be treated immediately. The mites can and will spread to the other Reptiles. I took pictures to show the mites on the ball python and the one that had managed to get into the leopard gecko tank. This is not okay. I also, came across a dead mouse in the mice enclosure. 100% unacceptable. This was the first petco I came across that was actually stocked properly, but with that came other consequences apparently. Please do better for these animals. They're not objects, and if someone buys them while in these conditions, it could be problematic if not lethal to their own pets at home.

My dog went in for her very first grooming appointment yesterday. Asher did wonderful! They walked through my options with me, and helped me figure out exactly what cut I wanted- still a floof, but cooler for days lounging on her patio. Peanut says thanks Asher (from her patio)!

This place is not a good experience I go here once a week to get crickets but I just want to get crickets and go and I am more than willing to pay whatever cost they need but they make it really hard to get a workers attention thus making it hard to pay them.so really I want to pay them but they make that hardEdit I see whatever digital robo thing that is leaving a comment on everyones post but Petco will always make sure it's harder to buy crickets plus workers are always a little attitude stuck and it almost seems that they are trying to do everything but help an additionThey always have some problem that makes it impossible to leave such as MOVING THE DANG CRICKETS.

Unappealing store in a bad area. Plus three quarters of the store is for dogs with things for cats shoved into one corner, including one wall of overpriced run of the mill toys. Staff members don't know much about pets or their own store ..asked one woman for help finding something and she had no clue. I ended up finding it myself and she seemed genuinely surprised to discover that the section where it was existed. Save money and have a better experience by just getting a Chewy online account.

Kat and Savannah have taken care of my standard poodle puppy in the grooming salon, and they're great! She always comes out looking gorgeous! The Vital Care membership is great for breeds that need frequent grooming, and booking on the app is easy.

I patronize this store for cat grooming specifically. I bring my oversized kitty Lolita here as much as possible because her butt becomes too fluffy and her paws become murder mittens every month or so. Savannah always does a great job with Lolita every time. They get the job done quickly with great results. I only wish that I made more money so I can have my Lolita truly pampered. The rest of the groomers are also very sweet and will assist in getting us checked in so we're not just waiting. I love their teamwork. I recommend coming here for your cat grooming needs. If my dogs weren't such public embarrassments, I'd bring them here too!
