Love the Pet Lovers Warehouse! They never let me down when I need mice for my snake, special dog food for my puppies, or any kind of pet supply that I've ever needed, whenever I've needed it at fair prices. They're local, they're friendly, they have live animals, they allow you to pet before you buy, and they offer military appreciation discount on most items. They may not be as fancy looking as some pet stores, but they never fail in the parts that are the most important, service and supply!

Shady shady business. They sell broke used things and won’t return them. I bought 2 inflatable collars. Got them home, opened one and the blow up stem was chewed off. In the end, they were too small for my dogs. Because I was busy at work, it took me a week to get back and return it. I thought that since it was a locally owned place, I wouldn’t return them, I’d just exchange them, because I didn’t want to take back money I had spent at a locally owned shop. When I went back in, the guy told me he wouldn’t exchange it because it was broken. The way he sold it to me. I’ll never shop here again. Go to pet smart or pet co, they would never have done this to us. I would have never gone through all this, driving across town and arguing with him just to try to scam them out of $15. It’s a shame, I always try to support local business but this place is shady.

Love this place! Although this review was left by me two years ago I wanted to update. And give a big thanks to the staff that worked today on 4/28/19 we came in to get some adorable bunnies! Staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. Even two ladies who were off today helped me out! I just recently lost my two bunnies due to age and I had promised my kids if they ever left us we would get another one. So today was very special for my two young girls that the lady who helped was so sweet and understanding and such a big help with my girl picking one out! Thank each of y'all and the owner for having a great store and staff and for our two new brother fur babies

My daughter purchased a bunny that didn't do that well. I spoke to the Owner of the store, and he happily gave us another bunny. We were so thankful that he was able to emphathize with my daughter and make her happy! Our new bunny is a delight, and a wonderful addition to our family. Thanks Pet Lover's!

I was in the store today as a first time last time customer. I was patiently waiting to be checked out while the cashier was finishing helping a customer. Not a big deal. This dirty little guy who had already walked past me twice now decides he is going to ring me up.He greats me with is anyone helping you I replied no I'm waiting for the cashier to finish helping those people not a big deal. He replies that it is a big deal and calls the young girl away from the people she was helping. I appreciate his intentions but some people should not be managers. Great supply of dog food , fair prices ,I will not be back.

While this is not a big box pet store, they have the largest variety of pets for sale at any single location that I have seen in Columbia. The employees are very knowledgeable about the animals and the products that are sold and are so helpful. It’s a fun place to take your kids and a great resource for pet supplies.

I love this place with a passion they have great staff! I breed chinchillas if I need something I go through them and they always have better prices and then online, that's rare I'm also a freash water fish enthusiast and anytime I would like a new additian to my many fish tanks I'll request through The fish through them the fish normally gets here super fast and they can get the harder to find fish I want, and at a great price. They even let me know the day the fish are dropped off by the supplyer so I can just pick them up as soon as they arrive. The staff have always been super helpful too

The staff is super friendly, but the prices are high and the store always seems dusty. Too many animals that should be from rescues or proper aviaries. Fish tanks are horrid. Black algae is everywhere.

I love coming here. The staff are always great, they have a great selection, and reasonable prices. They have a good selection of birds, reptiles, aquatics, and normally have a selection of rabbits, gerbils, and other members of the small animal/rodent/weasel families.

One of my favorite pet stores ever. I can't say enough how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is. Because they are so informed about the pets and accessories, the pets they sell are very healthy and happy. If any of the animals are the slightest bit sick, they will not sell them until they are nursed back to health. It is very easy to see if the staff actually cares about the animals at a pet store. It is obvious that they do here. Also, the Care-a-van mobile veterinary clinic is always there on Friday afternoons.

The selection is limited due to the store size, but the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They will order exotic animals for you as long as you can afford them. The store also will keep the animal for you if you can't take it home that day. Very worth stopping in.

When I started shopping here 2 feeder mice were $3.20 including tax. Now I'm paying $5.38 with my own box. Ridiculous. Staff is a bunch of young kids with no work ethic and I usually end up getting my own feeders. Sometimes they notice this and stomp over like I interrupted a meeting with the pope. Most of the time they don't even notice me. Gonna switch to frozen mice as going here is awful.

I think I could talk for hours on this pet store... The staff is always friendly and they never have an issue with helping someone in their store. I go here for all my pet care needs and sometimes I just pop in to play with their animals! I love to see the attention and care they give to every animal in their store and the customers that come in as well!!

My husband and I just lost our baby guinea pig, Little Bit, to a respiratory virus. I was devastated. I didn't know if I wanted another Guinea Pig after losing our baby and having just lost our older one, Lilly Boo, a month before him due to old age. My husband and I went to Pet Lover's Warehouse to look at guinea pigs. Didn't see one that we really wanted. But there were a few adorable bunnies. We went home to think and I knew that I really wanted a bunny this time. We went back a couple days later and only one bunny was left. I held him and not a minute later a cage full of new baby bunnies came through the doors. The bunny I was holding decided to play dominant. And I held one of the traumatized, hiding bunnies and knew he was the one after a few minutes of holding him. We are very appreciative of the lady who brought in the bunnies for her advice on how to care for our new family member, Patch.

They did not have the items in the store that were advertised on Web site. I found the birds to be dirty and not well kept. The blue macaw needed it's nails and beak trimmed badly. I understand birds are messy but a dirty cage can breed disease.

Employees are very knowledgeable of the products there. I was making an appointment to have my dog Pheobe bathed and clipped. I like being able to take her in there and bathe her myself but her hair is long in places and curly in places and straight in others which makes it difficult to manage so I take her there and let the professional groomers bath and clip her for the summer.I'm very satisfued with every department from the employees to the large variety of products and services there.

They have a great selection for rabbit and reptile owners. The staff are very friendly and allow you to pet their rabbits.(Also they had a golden retriever in the back room and all he wanted was pets!)

I purchased a Canary from this Pet Store; We got Home Realized Canary had Small Feather Issue; called Same Day and Store Advised Me too wait a Month or So too See if would Grow Back...After a Month Pet Store KEPT their WORD and Returned Canary WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM...Waiting for Pet Store to get More Canarys and make a POINT to BUY One from this Store!!!EXCELLENT SERVICE...

The absolute worst place I've ever worked. The people are uneducated, egotistical, lazy, and will sell u sick fish in an instant to make a quick buck. I have never seen more animals injured, sick, and neglected in my life. There was no training aside from what i did on my own time at home. These people are an intellectual dead end, and only care about making money. When i had to start bringing sick animals home so they wouldn't die was when i decided i could not work for them any longer. Do not take their advice! Their fish tanks are toxic, and they let children run their store. I have never known a company to allow teenagers to have keys to their business. I for one can't wait until Pet Co. on Forest Dr. and Petsmart on Ft. Jackson Blvd. to open.

My bunny had to be put down today at cornerstone animal hospital due to negligence of the previous owner so I went here to get a new one to help my grieving and not only were the bunnies BEAUTIFUL they looked healthy and the guy that worked here listened to me rant on about my bunny and was so helping and knowledgeable about bunnies .. I love good people !! Thankful for my new bunny

We go here every week for our pet supplies. I love going in. High quality items at good prices. Only pet store I go to. We have a snake a cat and a leopard gecko. Only place around that sells live rats for my snake.

The manager displayed racist actions. I took my dog here for shots which was done by a local shelter. I was standing in line waiting and this man had two pugs that were barking at me and my dog. He got upset because he wanted me to move and I ignored him. He got the manager, at this point he was yelling and his dogs were barking. I didn’t say a word and my dog didn’t make a noise. The manager immediately came to me and got in my face with her hands up telling me that I needed to move. I continuously asked her why she hadn’t said anything to him since he was causing a disturbance. She said that my dog and I were causing a disturbance and we needed to move. She pointed out that the line was supposed to be elsewhere, so I moved. She followed me asking if she could talk to me. She kept saying that since his dogs were barking I needed to move and that the line wasn’t over there. I kept asking why she hadn’t said anything to him. She ignored that question. I asked for the manager, she replied very pridefully, “I am the manager”. When she finally left me alone she walked over to the man and asked him if he needed anything and gave him a chair because she didn’t want him standing. I don’t know if it was because I’m black or what but I was treated unfairly. The people from the shelter apologized on her behalf and told me how they were not affiliated with them and no way shape or form.

This place sells fish that die almost immediately. I have tried and tried to deal with them. Then they want to say it's my water - make them compare it to their water. How much different can the water be when I do exactly as they do?the larger fish seem to be ok but the little mollys and the 10.00 fish die too. /They sold me a Gold Fish that preceeded to eat every other fish in the tank that he liked. He killed the others before morning so we lost every other fish in the tank. \Why didn't they tell us - like other Fish stores did. Poor Customer service that has cost me around 100.00 - no more.

New location a few doors down. Everyone is always nice. Lots to choose from and I'm in love with their blue and yellow macaw. Still filling the store with fish, etc.
