Dr. Bierman and his staff are excellent. He is a superb vet who gives great medical care as well as such lovely treatment of my little dog. I have been to other vets in town, but nowhere else will you find the level of care and for a most reasonable price. Highly recommend!!!!

I have been bringing my dogs here for the past 4 years and the staff is truly amazing. Dr. Bierman is such a kind human along with his wife and the rest of the staff! He has treated all of my dogs and many fosters I have brought in for care. I currently have a sweet baby with a blood cancer but because of his excellent care, she continues to thrive over a year after we found the cancer was covering 90% of her liver. Would recommend to everyone in Columbia if you want people who treat your babies like their own! Also, the front desk knows me by name which is wonderful when I call and something not great is going on. Shout out to Jenna who is always very wonderful!

The staff here has cared for two of our family dogs. Through the ups and downs, they've always provided compassionate and excellent care for our pets. Reasonable wait times to schedule appts, we've been able to get help when needed for something urgent, and everyone is always friendly and helpful.

I have been an established client at this clinic for over 20 years. Since Dr. Bierman has taken over the practice I have been turned away with a very sick dying Parvo puppy that needed to be euthanized. I've also been turned away with a 15-year-old dog that had hemorrhagic gastroenteritis that also needed to be euthanized. I have been accused of compromising care for a stray cat that I just spent almost $400 on because I wanted to get him neutered as soon as possible. I was told I couldn't even SCHEDULE an appointment until the cat was vaccinated. I was also accused of pressuring the office staff. One of the front desk staff doesn't even find the need to be friendly or courteous or care about clients or their animals.

I can’t say enough good things about this practice!! Everyone here shows true compassion for animals. From scheduling the appointment to checking out, every single staff member is friendly and helpful. The prices are less than several vet clinics in the area, which is great, but it’s not what’s kept me going to see Dr. Bierman for 4 years now. The care my 3 dogs get is top notch. I love that he does his best to offer different ways to help, in cases where it’s not feasible to spend $1000s on surgery and testing. The staff is all friendly and helpful, our visits run smoothly and quickly, my dogs love all the attention (and cookies!) they get when they’re there.

Best vet I've ever been too! We've moved all over the country in the past decade and have had many different vets over the years. By far this is the best experience at a vet I've had. They are super attentive to the unique needs of each pet. One of our dogs has had intense allergy issues for years and this vet found solutions the other 5 vets he's seen hadn't even thought of.

I always take my critters here in Columbia. The staff are great and super awesome with the animals! Your pet is seen at the appt time, great with sending reminders about annual visits.A couple years ago, I had a cat diagnosed with diabetes and was nervous about injecting an insulin shot. Dr. Berman demonstrated and let me practice with saline solution until I felt confident and comfortable. Thank you Dr. Berman!

Our pets have received care from Five Points Animal Clinic for the past 30 years, starting with Dr. Olano and Dr. Harbaugh and now Dr. Bierman. The level of care for our pets has been extraordinary. Now, Dr. Bierman and his staff are, simply put, the best. Presently we know that our our two dogs and one cat are in good hands and that their health is this clinic's primary concern.

Found a tick on my dogs ear this afternoon that I just could not get on my own. I called around several places in the area just looking for some help. Five Points answered and mentioned they were full, but the receptionist told me to wait and she would ask for recommendations on where I could take my sweet pup. She then came back and told me to bring my dog in and they would do it for me. I have never been here before, so they essentially just took us in without knowing anything and made room in the afternoon to see us. I was then expecting to pay whatever fee they wanted to charge me because I was just so grateful they took the time to see us. The receptionist then told me to not worry about it and they didn’t charge me! I HIGHLY recommend this vet because of their kindness and courtesy to essentially a stranger. Will be going back for sure.

We have a very difficult dog, and 6 semi-feral cats, and have recently moved them over to the Five Points Animal Clinic. We've been very impressed with how Dr. Bierman and his staff handle our skitzy crew...they were calm and careful, and the dog and 2 cats (so far) acted almost like normal pets! We feel like we're getting great guidance and really appreciate the small-practice, personal feel of the clinic.

If you are planning to travel with your pet you have to choose them! Great Clinic! They care your pets and very patient for the questions you ask. I send a lot of email about my concerns, Miss Brittany replies me very fast and relieved my stress. I have to say she is wonderful and caring!!Thank you so much for all help!!!!

They love my basset hounds as much as I do. Always professional and thorough. I would never go anywhere else. Update: now they care for my chocolate lab puppy in training to be a mobility service dog.We recently had to send two of our bassets to the Rainbow Bridge and the Doctor’s and staff could not have been kinder. It meant so much to us.

We came in for our cat because she was limping. The appointment was able to be scheduled pretty quickly, and the first examination was great. Dr. Bierman was very informative and patient with our old lady. I also want to give a 10/10 to Jasmin, Dr. Bierman’s veterinary assistant for handling our cat well and even cleaning out our crate for us after our cat peed in it. Dr. Bierman gave us some medication for our cat and told us to revisit if there were any further problems after the meds wore off. After we ran out of meds, our cat seemed to be doing better, so we didn’t schedule another appointment, but later on our cat starting limping even worse. We took her back and Dr. Bierman did some x-rays, told us that our cat’s hip bone had inflammation, and gave us a different medication that was more affordable for long term, along with a plan of action depending on if our cat started doing better.Up until now, I would’ve gave this place five stars due to the how thorough, patient, and informative Dr. Bierman and the office were. The reason why I’m giving this place three stars is what happened between then and now. Our cat has stopped showing signs of being in pain, but now she doesn’t/can’t bend her leg at all. As a result, she doesn’t clean herself, and can’t climb into her litter box to use the bathroom. I, not knowing what to do, called the vets office and explained the situation. The office worker who took our call wrote our info down and informed us the vet would give us a call back before the end of the day with advice. That call never came. The next day I called back just making sure the vet didn’t forget about us or something, and was told that I would hear back about my question before the end of the day *again*. I never heard anything. The morning of the third day, I called, and informed the office worker that we were told we’d get a call from the vet by the end of the day two days in a row and heard nothing. The office worker told me again that the vet would *definitely* call me today. I said that they have been saying that for the past two days and it hasn’t happened, so do I just need to set up an appointment or just come by in person or something? The office worker just said that Dr. Bierman was prepping for a surgery and she would escalate our issue to her office manager and make it his next priority. I relented and awaited his call, assuming I’d not hear anything back again, but just a minute later I got a call from the vet directly. He did answer my questions, but also called me and my partner “impatient”. I believe that I was having a great amount of “patience” for a 3 minute phone call.This latest experience really ruined what would’ve otherwise been a great interaction with a vet’s office. I do recommend the place, but I warn you to consider other places if your pet has needs other than a regular checkup.

To start- I've been written off by 2 other vets for my concern around my kitten's coughing fits and was told she was just "probably a little sick" despite her having the fits for months and having been prescribed medication to help with the "sickness". They wouldn't even watch the videos I took of her having the fits to show them what kind they were for a proper diagnosis. I knew something else was going on and finally brought her here and everyone was SO kind! I finally felt like my concerns were heard and listened to, I wasn't disregarded, and they took a further look and were able to find the actual issue that other vets wouldn't even consider. They were respectful, very knowledgable, and I could tell they genuinely wanted to find the root issue for my kitten and help us out. They were great!!!

My mini Dachshund, Kona, just LOVES this clinic and it's staff, I honestly get jealous when I see just how happy she gets when we go. I have always heard that dogs hate going to the vet, but Kona absolutely adores this clinic. I would recommend this place to every animal owner. :)

Seriously the best. Exceptional care from Dr. Bierman and the team. He’s committed to taking care of this patients. I love that he gets down on my dog’s level instead of making her nervous on a metal exam table. To top it all off, I pay half the price for meds than I did at another vet in town.

Would not suggest bringing your cat here. I had the unfortunate experience of bringing my 9 year old md haired cat here on numerous occasions. During these visits my genuine concerns were ignored and written off because she “was such a sweet cat”. I still paid about $100 a visit for them to tell me nothing was wrong. After going to another vet that quickly believed me they found the true source of my concerns and took care of her accordingly. After changing vets I realized that the 5 points animal clinic did not have the correct information entered for my cat and was under the impression that she was 7 years younger than she actually was. They admitted to entering the information wrong and writing off her issues because they thought she was so young. Urging anyone reading this to think twice before bringing your cats here.

We love this analysis clinic. What's more important is the fact that our pets love this clinic. They practically pull us through the front door. The animals are loved. I have never seen a vet get down on the floor and love a pet while discussing that animal's care. Its truly beautiful.

My family and I use to go here for years, but sadly within the past 2 years the services have gotten very bad. I took my mainecoon cat here who was having dental issues multiple times. At first he was just given medication to see if that would help, then the vet told me he needed to have all his teeth removed and it would be around 2,000+ dollars. I was shocked. I took him to The Pet Vac Animal Hospital in west Columbia for a second opinion and im glad I did. They told me he only needed his back teeth removed and it would only be about 300$. My cat Baxter is now healthy and happy. On top of this my family had a Cat who was having issues closing her jaw and they took her here as well and they wanted to put her down. My mom took her to another place as well and she just had an old tooth stuck in her jaw, they removed it and she was fine.

Amazing clinic! Went there for the first time in early October. The vet Dr. Nancy is amazing, patient and communicates well with the pet parents. She also only does tests that are necessary and is always available whenever you have a question. The staff are brilliant as well and super helpful! Took my 13-year-old cat, Mia, here for the first time today (she needed a new vet b/c of a move) and they were awesome! They were very gentle with her and as a result she responded shockingly well to everything. I also really liked how reasonable and affordable their services were. They didn't push me to get a bunch of unnecessary tests or anything like that done. Her annual checkup and 2 vaccines she needed were only around $80, while another vet in the area quoted me $150 for the same services. I'm glad I found this clinic!!
