One of the best lowkey dive bars in downtown clemson. Cannot rave enough about Nicks. Known as more of the graduate/professor bar, they cater well to people who are nit picky about their cocktails and food selections, but each come at a very reasonable price. Known for their mozzarella sticks (best in Clemson). The bartenders are always super knowledgeable and friendly; they know how to pair good cocktails well and even create cocktails that may not be listed on the menu for you. The best selection of draft beers and mead as well. I would also boast the best priced and best tasting shrimp po boy in Clemson (Walk-on’s can’t even compare). The atmosphere at Nick’s is perfect; the decor and lighting and grunge feel really adds to the overall experience. It’s a great chill vibe for older students and staff who genuinely care about food and drink quality. The bathrooms are also kept clean and single stall; a rarity among bars downtown. Nicks is a must stop to enjoy a fine drink and good mozzarella sticks if you’re ever in town looking for a chill vibe.

I loved the ambience of the place. It was a perfect place for a get together with friends and colleagues from the University. I would highly recommend this place for drinks and food. My personal recommendation for beer lovers is to try out the beer from the Shiner brewery from Texas.Overall it was a nice experience during the middle of a hectic work week.

Good Ol' Nicks. Best selection of beer in Clemson, friendly staff, not as loud as most of the other Clemson Bars.

Nick's was my favorite hangout when I was a grad student at Clemson in the early 90s. Just visited again this October after the homecoming game. It's still the best laid back bar in town.

What can I say about Nick's? It's been around probably 3 times as long as I have and I'm pretty sure everyone who grew up or went to school here knows it. It's got a chill pub-like atmosphere that isn't found in most Clemson bars. It feels almost wholesome in a way, which is how I like to feel before I get really messed up on expensive craft beer. It's not a place to drink cheap. It's not the place to go for dancing or live music. It's the people that make it really great. It's super cozy and friendly and they have the best microwave cheeseburger in town. Seriously, the bar food here is pretty good, and while I won't say it's the best value ever, the food is truly satisfying and prepared with love by really nice people. Also, you can get Redstone mead here at liquor store prices. Everyone should try Nick's once, and then most of those people should never come back because the ones that fall in love with it need the booth space and quiet to do smart people stuff.

This is one of the chillest bars in town. I love going here because everyone that works there is super nice and they have a variety of a beverage selection. You can go there by yourself or with a group of people and enjoy your time. Nick's is also very inclusive of all and welcoming.

Friendly neighborhood bar with pub food, some craft beers and the best damn people in town. Like Cheers, but in Clemson.

Best place in Clemson. Beer and wine only. Great food. Amazing staff. It is the kind of place that you walk into and it has history. There is awesome stuff on every wall. It's an eclectic, low key, cozy place and the food is always made fresh. Highly recommend if you like a casual, interesting, intellectual place to hang out.

Hands down best bar in Clemson! Heads up - it’s beer and wine only, so if you’re fixing on 25¢ cotton candy bubblegum vodka shots, you’re best off taking your business elsewhere. This actually works out for the best as it keeps the 21 year old children elsewhere. Awesome craft beer selection, awesome bartenders, and the best bar munchies and sandwiches downtown Clemson. Also the bathroom art is something to behold. See you at Nicks!

A staple in Clemson culture since 1976. There is no better place to stop in and try something new, unwind and hear tales of such a renowned bar. James and the rest of the bartending staff keep the drinks flowing, great food cooking and the stories coming. If you're out with some friends or just want to see where the night takes you, stop by Nick's Tavern & Deli and you can guarantee yourself a good time. Say hey to Dale for me!

I love Nick’s! It is a classic bar with great classic bar vibes. Definitely the best selection of craft beer in Clemson and the food is always quick and tasty.

An institution. Great selection of rotating taps, booties and cans. Always something new that I'll enjoy. Fewest rowdy college kids you'll find in a bar in Clemson. Surprisingly good eats, try the PCB basket for a fried pile of delicious.

Definitely the best bar in the area! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and a great selection of beers on tap. More of an older crowd than the rest of the bars in the area, but that can be a breath of fresh air in a college town.

If you love a bar atmosphere in the old time sense, you'll love Nick's. Full of beer memorabilia. Seating is limited, food menu is quirky, but beer selection is varied and has good representation of local and national breweries. Be sure to meet Ken, and ask him about Clemson baseball. You can find him behind the bar unless there's a game going on.

Overall a good bar with a good craft beer selection. The crowd isn't as pretentious as it used to be, but that aspect still lingers. Some bartenders also don't act like they care, they'll never check on you even if the bar is not busy.

Hands down my favorite bar in Clemson and possibly even the Upstate. Huge selection, which is constantly changing - AWESOME! It has the old-school, traditional feel that none of the chain places can even come close to replicating yet alone exceeding.

Surprisingly delicious food, especially for a college town bar. Great ambiance, relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, at least on slow days. I can't speak for Fri/Sat night when it's probably shoulder-to-shoulder, but on Memorial Day it was very chill. Will definitely return next time I'm in town

Nick's is a bar for people who want to talk and get to know their bartenders and other guests (or sit for a meeting). You sit down, order your beer (and/or food) and chat. The employees care about anyone who walks in, and will sit and chat as long as it isn't too busy. It's an escape from the loudness of downtown, while still offering a wide variety of beer. There is something for everyone at Nick's.

Great selection of beer and wine (and mead). Chill atmosphere. This place is typically the go to for faculty and grad students, but it's a good place for undergrads too (speaking from experience).

Best beer in town. It's the only thing keeping me alive in this tiny town. When a keg runs out, there is a new craft brew up. It's always changing. Thankfully its generally full of graduate students and faculty. Not a party bar or an undergraduate hangout. No liquor so dont expect to walk in and ask for shots (again thankfully to ward off undergrads).

Kind of a hole in the wall place. Good selection of craft beer. The food was good for bar food. It has this old school pub feel. It was the kind of bar that would be better if it were full of cigarette smoke.

Great spot slightly hidden. The walls are layered with local history. The beer list is a monument to fine brews. The menu prices are amazing and the food hits the spot.

Perfect dive bar for those seeking an alternate destination in a college town. Great beer selection, music, atmosphere, and service. The food is also really good for a bar. Love the falafel.

Always has been a low key, craft beer and good bar food staple of Clemson. Loved it when I was a local and miss it since I moved away.
