I adopted a dog from them today. They seem to be caring people. The adoption process was good. They made sure the new dog and my present dog were compatible. My new boy is clean and seems healthy and happy. They gave me his vaccination documentation and heartworm meds for this month and next month, and made sure I'd treat him with flea and tick meds today. He is a sweet boy. Already neutered and microchipped.

Horrible service. I called about some stray cats & was told there was nothing they could do about it but took my number and said she would call me back. I am still waiting on the call…..if I could take away the one star, I would.

Completely disappointed. Animal control is SUPPOSED to be there for animals, instead they just leave people hanging and don’t care. It was the first time I've been there since Shane Stewart had taken it over. I was Amazed at all the Excellent changes that's been made! I love it, especially the area made to visit and get acquainted with a pet. Everything is very clean better equipped than before. And Ms.Lora as the Welcoming Person Can't Be Beat! As I looked through the book of cats, she was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next visit.

Went to look for a cat today. I saw they are an awesome place, for abandoned pets. They give them comfort space. And are very caring. As if each one is their own. Everyone, of them were treated great!

i have called more then 20 time to let them know about two dogs on short chains on a non covered porch with no shelter no bowls for water/ food. they are in the rain. With the temps in the low 26 degree last night. i got to talk to a lady about 3 weeks ago she insured me the guy had two weeks to get them off the chains and get dog houses with straw. but they are still in the same place. this place is a joke they don't care.. i wish i could have gave them no stars

Not sure what to think of this shelter. I was planning to donate lots of blankets and towels but after reading some of the reviews I’m not sure I can trust the people running the shelter. In one hand I would love to see the animals get some comfort but in other hand they may never receive the blankets. Some reviews are horrible.

This place has turned into one of the worst Animal Controls I have seen in my 17 years of rescue. They are not letting volunteers in. Conditions and treatment of the animals there is far from acceptable. If you donate YOU MUST SAY IT IS FOR ANIMALS ONLY. The reason for this is if you don't the sheriff can use it for anything he wants since he is the one over Animal Control. Please save a pet from there and and you will saving one that has a horrible existence. There is also a building full of Pitts that the public is not shown so ask to see them.

Staff was helpful with the injured stray cat I brought in. Hours of operation is inconvenient Wed thru Fri noon to 4pm. Parking area is dangerous. Several animals are available for adoption.

In my personal opinion, this place needs to be shut down. The people are very rude and shows little respect to others. The animals there are not well taken care of, and treated cruel by some of the staff, a few actually display love and care for the animals. Myself and my family were out there to get our three little dogs that had gotten out of their pen and was picked up. When we got there, there was a man standing under a tree out front and he ask us if we were picking up those little dogs and we said yes, then he said, dang I thought I was going to get to throw them in the chamber. I was absolutely furious with him. Those kind of people are sick, and should not be able to even work around animals period. Plus, they don't put in enough effort or time to try to find homes for the animals before they just kill them. It's really very sad, these animals are God's creation too, and He tells us to be kind and loving to the animals.

Dropped some kitties off that were dropped off at our house because we couldn't find homes for them & we are moving into the city, lady at the desk was kinda rude & made me feel really bad about leaving them but we didn't really have a choice...I was just trying to make the right decision & hopefully they find good homes
