I visited this DG today Sat, Dec 2nd 2023 to purchase some Playstation gift cards for my husband and son for Christmas because DG was advertising a 15% discount on select gift cards. I usually do not visit this DG but because I was headed to trash dump I decided to stop. I attempted to buy a $50 Playstation gift card but was told by cashier that I would have to pay in cash because they have had issues with fraud. Ok but I'm not committing fraud and how much fraud can I commit with a $50 Playstation card so I requested to speak to management. The cashier went outside to retrieve manager "Nancy" whom immediately said u can't pay for Playstation gift cards with a credit or debit card because we have had issues with fraud. I was so embarrassed and confused. She never asked to see my ID to match it with the name on the card I was paying with or anything. I said I've purchased gift cards in the past at several dollar generals which I have several times and can prove it. I have never had an issue at other dollar generals. She said well u can't purchase it with a card at this one so I asked for her general manager name and she said u can get that online and walked away. At that point I felt so discriminated against because I was wearing a hoodie due to the cold wet weather we were having. I'm a customer not a thief and not once did she ask for an ID or ask me to pin verify my card? How can u treat paying customers this way DG. I'm so upset that I will be escalating this to the district manager and beyond. Nancy shame on you for only God should judge people! Discrimination is also against the law Nancy! Period.

Manager was awesome. Enjoyed a conversation with her; she definitely needs more hours to get more employees. Store looked really good for being understaffed, and altho exhausted the manager was still incredibly pleasant and helpful. Would totally return.

I go here quite a bit because it's close and convenient. It stops there. Sadly this store is always very cluttered with out of place items or due to employees stocking. I'm not sure if the cold/frozen food is stocked by employees or venders but I've found out of date merchandise on multiple occasions. I once found some Lunchables that were 8 months out of date. I'm glad I caught it before giving them to my kids.

The people who work here are wonderful.They are helpful and friendly,and I love that I don't have to walk a mile to get to the item I want like at Walmart. But the thing is many times I go to this store and they are completely out of my stain remover,or drink mix,or detergent for sensitive skin ......

I have breathing trouble and it seems like every time I go to this dollar general the employees are holding the front door open and smoking. Even wearing a mask I can't stand to walk through the smoke. So if you have lung problems don't go to this particular store.

Dollar General is amazing. Love being able to run in and grab a few things without spending a fortune. It is like walmart lite without the employees who hate life. They always take care of me and get me what I need.

I like the Manager "Syble", she's friendly and focused on her store at the employee level to the merchandise level.Of course all the DG's need an extra person who only keeps the sales floor neater and cleaner, while watching for theft. 2 part-time employees would cover the opening to closing hours. I've been in retail (from cashier to Management) nearly my entire career (28yrs).

We stopped in to buy my wife a pair of gloves because her hands were cold. First as we were walking to the door the wind was blowing and the trash can took off across the parking lot and when got inside my wife told her and the girl said (Whatever) then my asked her did they have any gloves for cold weather because we didn't see any, so the girl went and got her a box of latex gloves, my wife says no that's not what I'm looking for I need something to keep my hands warm. Her response again ok (whatever) and walked away.

This dollar general has dollar isles anything from laundry detergent to things for your home inside and out for a dollar also bday and holiday cards for $.50 to a $1.00. Shoe and clothes for a very good price on clearence all the time and when you get the receipt remember to save the $5.00 coupon . I save all of mine for sat ehen you can redeem them all for $5.00 off every $25.00 I save $30 a week on that alone

This dollar general is well stocked and they seem to keep their store looking nice and neat. The workers are very customer friendly and I will continue to go to this location.

Nice people, pretty clean store. Only downside is they are often out of several items, especially things that are on sale or have a good Digital Coupon that week.

Dollar General that I visited yesterday was a bad experience I'm new to couponing and the cashier at the register was less than friendly the customer behind me was all up in my business coupons that clearly met all the requirements were not accepted I probably will not want frequent that particular store upon leaving double check my receipt and I was overcharged for two of the clearance items to items that I asked to be taken off were clearly not taking off and three coupons that I was told were processed were not on my receipt and I did not get them back these three incidences here cost me $10 that I hadn't planned on spending that I did not have extra and put me in a small Financial bind

Dislike going to the dollar General in Chesnee. It's always dirty and always stock in aile way. Never have anything you really need in stock, what they do have you have to search for because they keep changing everything weekly.

I use this as my go to store first, because of the selection of merchandise available for my needs. It's 1.7 miles from my house and the convince for having what I need in stock.

Cashier threw an ink pen at me because I was trying to ask her where the calendars for 2019 are, it is not my fault I stutter and have speech problems, also customer decided to be like it was when I was in school and told me I was breaking in line when I was nowhere near the person, be cautious out there, some of these people are coiled up vipers ready to sink their fangs into anyone.
