Don’t usually post reviews but so bothered by my experience today that I feel compelled to do so. Have been a World Market member and customer for decades. I was so happy today to see how far this store has come over the last six months. Last time I dropped by, the shelves were bare and there were no displays but today, beautiful! Unfortunately, my happiness ended when I tried to check out. After waiting way too long and begging for help, I got none. So, I walked out, leaving all my nice things behind. I’ve never done that before. Makes me very sad that customer service is no longer important. What a shame!

It was our first time shopping at one of these. Very cool store. I wish we had one in Syracuse, NY. The staff were both friendly and helpful.

World Market has exotic products from all over the world to eat. Teas, coffees, cookies, snacks, etc., plus kitchenware, furniture, baskets galore, candles, lamps, decorations for your home…..an entire store full of lovely items that are hard to resist. I gave World Market a 4-star because it is rather expensive.Also in the same shopping area is a huge store called Monster Music and Movies that looks so interesting! I was at World Market late in the afternoon and didn’t have time to explore Monster but I definitely will at a later date!

The guy cashier at the register tonight around 5:30 was just blatantly rude to my girlfriend while she was checking out after she tried to swipe her card stating something on the line of “what are you doing we don’t accept cards” in a rude voice. You need to let your cashiers know how to show respect towards all customers. There was 1000 different ways he could’ve gone about it.

A very clean and well organized store. All kinds of cute items. The employees are very helpful and greet you as you walk in. The nicest young man checked us out. His name is Jacob. He was so polite and kind. Overall, a very nice shopping experience.

When my partner and I tried to check out, one of the 4 employees gathered at the register was specifically trying to mop the the area in front of the register while the three others spoke behind the only open register. I was standing directly at the end of the register waiting for them to stop talking tho it took a minute or so and two other customers walked in front of us, which was kinda rude to the guy moping and us. After they all scattered to help the more rude customers and rang them up we got to check out with our one item that only took a moment of your time, I should have waved my arms to disrupt the extended conversation you were having and asked if we should take a number..

I went to buy a papasan cushion with my daughter and the KINDEST most amazing employee helped us. I think he was a manager. He honestly made my day! He was so patient and went in the back several times to check for what we were looking for.

Great quality bar stools, consistently! I had some from 10 years ago and they held up beautifully. I checked out the stool selection today and was impressed again with the quality. You can find art, mirrors, food, wines, furniture, rugs, kitchen and dining items. Love their ornament selection during the Christmas holidays. The cashier was super patient with me today with my questions and helped me to find my rewards to scan in store.

The cashier today was gnawing on his fingers when I walked up and had blood dripping from his elbow. Not only did he not wipe his dripping blood off the counter, but he also dragged every one of my bags through that blood. He also didn’t speak a word to me except for a very rude “I KNOW” when he started to scan an item that I reminded him I was paying for separately. Can’t wait to wash blood off of my new items!

I've been here a few times. I absolutely love this place. It has a variety of great furniture, wall art, rug selections, window treatments, wines, a very nice kitchen section, AND an international groceries (with candies) section! All at fair prices!Note, this is coming from a man who doesn't particularly like shopping. I'm a "get in, get what you need, and get out guy."Definitely check World Market out.

I normally love World Market…but don’t think I will be shopping with them any more. Especially online. Their customer service for online purchases is terrible. Not one associate after a month can give me an answer as to why I haven’t received a refund for an item I returned less than 24 hours of purchasing online. Keep getting the red tape of one person this and once it reaches here, etc. Never been so disappointed in a retail/customer service oriented business.

This store has more variety and more items in stock than the one in Summerville. I took off a star because they had one register open even though there were at least 6 customers in line. In fact, I was already in line for one register, but I guess the cashier didn't see me so she shut down her register, telling the other cashier she'd be back. So, at the end of the other longer line is where I ended up. No fun.

Extremely disappointed with service at check out. Younger clerk (no name tag) was helping my clerk (Daniel). Younger one gave me false information. You do not need to post your email in order to get credit or stay in their system & his tone was rude. I cancelled my initial purchase of $85 & got what I needed for $20. Spoke to manager & left. So not like me but tired of arrogant clerks.

We were shopping at the charleston location (29407). Normally we have no issues. Even when some of our favorites are sold out. But today we decided that we will stop shopping at this location.Here is why: When we payed for our items, the cashier apparently did a mistake. She wanted to figure it out,(but failed?!) she just stopped and told us that she is just giving us the money and done. When we walked out and reached our car, the cashier came out and shouted at us that we have to come back in. This was embarrassing because it was a busy parking lot. We felt like thief's! So we did go back in. She talked to the manager to explain the situation to her, and told her that she apparently gave us $10 too much. So the cashier ask us (next to her manager)to give the $10 back to them. And the manager agreed with her.We gave her the $10 but we fell like they more demanding it back!We didn't get an explanation and we dont have proof that she really gave us to much money back. This situation should have been handled differently.The thing is , if she would have figured it out in the transaction, we wouldn't have an issue with getting less money back. As long she explained us what she did wrong. We all do mistakes.But that she came back out, shouted at us, and ask us to come back in AND demanded the money back? Thats just unprofessional and humiliating!!!We are not willing to pay one more dime in that store when we get treated like that

Always has everything I am looking for. I'm personally a big fan of rose water beverages and they have a good selection. Their prices are perfect and they have some lovely furniture. The staff is helpful and kind and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a priced Right piece of furniture or some nifty (and tasty) world food items.

Love world market! I come here for the Strianese tomatoes because they're quality DOP certified tomatoes. But I also love all the other imported stuff. Customer service is always good too!Would recommend.

Had not been in for a while. Came in primarily to look at coffee selection and wine sales. No that much coffee and the wine section was shut down due to some sort of licensing issue. But the staff was friendly, all had masks. Guess I will try again in a few weeks.

I'm a big fan of World Market and this one never lets me down. The staff is kind and often goes out of their way to help you. It is refreshing. The only fault I've uncovered is the disgusting public restroom. Don't depend on it to be clean if you need it. Otherwise this is a perfectly acceptable retail establishment.

We went shopping on a Saturday during Christmas time. It was very busy, but things rolled along smoothly. There is so much to see, you need some time to browse. I really like the variety; wine, food, furniture, kitchen supplies, jewelry, etc. We got a lot of our shopping done right here. They also had plenty of registers open for check out.

This is a great place to shop for items from around the world. They also have a lot of imported food items for you to see and buy. I bought some potato chips from another country and they were great. I don't shop here often but it is a place to buy many things for the house including kitchen items, furniture, food, pictures etc.

World market is a great place to find unique furniture and kitchen items. We bought an all metal bar on wheels for our coffee bar and we love it. Just wait till items go on sale and bring a coupon to get a good deal.

These are my absolute favorite stores to go to! There's so much to look at and it's all so different! Although it looks like they got rid of the kid's section in mine which is a bit disappointing.
