I usually have a really decent experience when I travel to this location closest to my home. However, today I went to check out and the cashier ask me to step over to another line (mind you two other people were behind me that didn’t receive the same request). Also, the cashier didn’t turn her light off so I continued to check out. She overstuffed my items into two bags on purpose and was very rude in tone. I am glad you all are having a hiring event because Brenda shouldn’t be able to pick and choose who she gives great service to. This is especially not a great idea when survey info is listed on receipt. I will not enter her line again. All of your customers pay not just her preference. If you need a friendly cashier let me know.

I had a bad experience at Publix River land Market. I ordered 2 subs online to be ready at 1005. I arrived at 1015 and saw our subs on tray but not prepared. We did our shopping for 20 more minutes an subs still not ready. I waited in line behind one person and told her that is our subs she started after she served customer ahead of me. I then waited there for 15 more minutes while she made 2 more subs for the people behind me. I kindly asked her to cancel my order and she looked at me confused/lost. Was a regular but done with there. Don't order subs from there.

Publix is always so clean and bright and organized. Staff was refreshingly friendly at checkout. Vision helped us both visits and is a extra friendly employee. Being from out of state, the only thing that was shocking the prices. Maybe they were extra high as we were in a resort area, but it still seemed high. Other than that fantastic store.

I’m not from Charleston, and it was my first time going to a Publix location. I had a great impression when it comes to organization and staff —everyone is super solicit and willing to walk many aisles to show you a specific product. I do think prices are bit high in comparison to other grocery stores, but in this case, you really get what you’re paying for.

I love Publix but man I have to say… this deli is something else. The people working in the deli act like you’re speaking a different language when you order something straight off of their menu. They’ll just stare at you like they’ve never heard of a turkey sub before 😭 they also all act like you’ve ruined their day because you’re ordering a sandwich. Every. Single. Time.

Slow Tuesday afternoon so, I figured the sub bar shouldn’t be a long experience. The girl working the sub bar was trying her best but, the fellow staff and management didn’t seem to care that a long line was forming. The manger slowly walked back and forth with no acknowledgement of the situation or willingness to help his team. Very disappointed with this experience left with no sub and an empty stomach.

Update. I wonder if Sundays are super busy. Sunday evening the shelves were kinda bare. No distilled water at all. Slim Pickens in a few spots.Well stocked, well lit, nice selection. Love Publix bakery rolls and breads.

Visited this store tonight around 8. I didn’t catch his name but the young man, with the piercings, in the deli department, was the absolute best! Even though he was super busy due to the fact that other employees were ignoring the customers, he managed to keep the most positive attitude. He made my day! Please give him a raise! He definitely deserves it!

This is the worst Publix in Charleston. EVERY single time I go in there I have to go to food lion next door… which always has what they are missing. And I mean every single time. Tonight was the last time I ever go back to that place and waste my time

I would like to give Kudos' to Ashley S., Manager, Charles C., Assistant Manager, Gentvella Y., Deli Cashier, and Avis, Casher. I lived in Jacksonville Florida over 20 years ago when Publix first opened. I continue to shop with them because of their products, and excellent customer service.Publix built its reputation on excellent customer service, owns reputation for cleanliness, fresh bread, fresh toppings for your subs, even being pleasant when they need to cut other deli meats, and cheeses of your choice. Publix shelves, are always so well stocked and organized. Love their buy 1 get 1 free sales, meat department with quality meat, friendly and agreeable. Bakery is like a candy store for a child, it has lots of choices, so fresh and delicious. Product so fresh, organized and variety to your hearts content. Seafood fresh, reasonably priced, and large selection. Pharmacy helpful and pleasant.I wanted to bring my coworkers sandwiches to start the weekend shift. Publix was winding its day down, but Ashley went to the deli department, helped make the sandwiches! Charles, always so professional, never talks down to you, and informative, will even walk you to what you are looking for, helped with making this possible. Gentvella, went to slicing meat, and cheese, always with a smile, clarifying request. Avis so friendly and helpful making sure you found what you were looking for while shopping.My coworkers and I enjoyed the best, fresh, yummy subs, that nourished me through the end of my shift, and coworkers complementing the freshness of the subs and the wonderful bread.Thank you Ashley, Charles, Gentvella, and Avis for continuing to follow the great customer service that Publix was founded.."Where shopping is a pleasure!"

I never had a bad experience at a Publix until today. An employee ignored us as we were YELLING to get her attention as she walked by. The cashier said one word and we had to bag our own groceries. One of the reason I was willing to pay the extra high prices was because of the service. I can't wait to get home to a Publix that cares about it's customers, this one gives you the Wal mart experience.

3rd time in two weeks trying to order one of the new vegetarian sub options from the deli. Every time I get told either “we don’t have the items to make it” or “I don’t know how to make that” with no solution offered other than “we can put veggies on bread.” Vegetarian options are already rare but it’s frustrating when they disappear because they “don’t sell well,” when in-fact the staff hasn’t been trained to make them or the store hasn’t been stocked with what they need to make it. Love shopping here otherwise but the lack of training at the deli is frustrating.
