They use all beef Boars Head hot dogs. I ordered the Galactic Dog, the large hot dog and all the stuff on top was so big I couldn't get it in my mouth. It was a very messy affair trying to eat it. Been wanting to go here since we moved here 3 years ago! Definitely did not disappoint! The cosmic dog was amazing and I loved the Sweet Potato mustard! Fries were hot and delicious and you can’t go wrong with a cold root beer! The staff was beyond friendly and service was quick! Will definitely be back! Also loved the Star Wars decor!

This is such a cool place! I would venture to say a must stop if visiting Charleston. I don’t like hot dogs, but I had the sloppy jack! Super tasty but a tad messy. And the fries were the best!! I could have made a meal out them. This was the last place a friend of mine and I ate at before he passed, so Jack’s Cosmic Dogs will always be special to me.

The hotdogs seemed waterlogged and the bun was kind of flavorless. The sauerkraut didn't have any flavor, nothing special added to it. Just bagged or canned kraut. If it wasn't for the mustard, the dogs wouldn't have ANY flavor at all. It was a real let down in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend it but apparently, the locals seem to love it.

Aways liked Jacks in MtP. Tried Folly Road a month ago and again today. Menu about the same but like last month, the menu prices are different from what was charged. When asked about the difference, the same lady said she didn't know why it was different but they need to fix it. The same thing she said a month ago. So Jacks has been overcharging for at least a month without explanation. I hear all the stories about restaurant increases. We all are adjusting but be honest about what you are charging.

This is a fast food place, so atmosphere is not the point. The corn dog and french fries were DELIGHTFUL. First corn dog I have had in twenty years, and this corn dog made it worth the wait. French fries were hot and cooked perfectly. Also want to do a shout out to the lovely cashier, the food runner, and the manager who came over to check our order. Five star service, A+ for employee kindness, and just a happy and immaculately clean place to eat.

The hotdogs were bland and mushy. Maybe just boiled too long. I ordered 3 in anticipation of greatness. Rest of are group had two each. Sadly, none of us liked them and thought they were not what we remembered. We all have great memories of eating at Mt Pleasant location and thus were very excited they were coming to JI but sadly it was not good. People were very friendly and atmosphere was great. I hope it was a fluke.

I am so elated that Jack's Cosmic Dogs is back on James Island. I know it's under new ownership, but I am so glad that the decision was made to come back to the Island. Wish you much success. Now if you can only get the recipe for the Jamaican relish. That would be awesome.Kid-friendliness: There was a jump castle and there are a few arcade games.

The food was great but for some reason it took almost 45 minutes for me to get my order. After 30 minutes I complained and asked when my food was coming. I was told it was on the way. After 45 minutes the waitress came over and asked me what I ordered wh8ch meant my order had not been placed. In their defense, everyone else seems to have gotten their orders quickly.

It's a good hotdog, a little pricey, though. You can get it anyway you want or choose one of their house dogs. Got a basket of fries, and they were a bit soggy, could be more crisp. Great atmosphere. Everything is new and cosmic themed. Seating both inside or out. There is plenty of parking out front or in the rear. Staff is friendly and helpful.Kid-friendliness: There are some arcade games for the kids.

It certainly was a hot dog. Good but not sure why you'd pay $7 for one. You can get one twice the size at Costco for $1.50 or make it at home in 30 seconds.

I freaking love Jack’s and I’m so happy they have a James Island location now. I always get the veggie classic dog and cheese fries and it never disappoints. My favorite hotdog in all of the land! The crew working was on point as well, super quick and friendly!
