The ladies restroom is dirty. There is mold growing on the sink faucets. You have to touch the paper towel holder with your clean hands to get one if it is not hanging out. The handicap toilet will not even flush the paper. The middle toilet has black mold growing in the bowl. We have shopped here since it has opened 30 years ago. Please clean the restroom!!!!!

The employees that work here do not know how to do their job. They have no clue how to even work the self check out when it stops and says help is on the way. They just stand there and look at you lost. Had to move to a longer line cause she was so clueless

It's a pretty neat local grocery store in Charleston. It's very similar to Pick n' Save and uses the same rewards program as well. Everything here is very affordable and probably one of the better places to go grocery shopping.

My experience here was fine as I was shopping. The employees had decent customer service. However, the cashier was extremely rude and condescending to me as I needed to do an Instacart order at this location for the first time. She consistently used passive aggressive statements towards me the ENTIRE time I was in her line. She first began by stating that me having an Instacart order was “holding up her line” while in the same breath also attempting to accuse me of stealing behind her register although she rudely said I needed to bag my own groceries. This seemed a bit like racial profiling to accuse me of such an action when an employee told me to come around the register and bag my own groceries. With this being my first time here, I would not recommend this store due to my experience with discrimination here and extremely rude staff. This was a very uncomfortable and troubling situation to experience such behavior.

A good grocery store. Everything you would expect a grocery store to have and fresh local produce. If you're in the area and need a grocery store this will fit the bill.

We have been coming to this Harris Teeter for years and have had one of the best/worst experiences when shopping today. We checked out at one of the busiest times but our cashier, Richard, was so kind, made great conversation, and worked as quickly as possible. It was very unfortunate that other employees were being blatantly rude to him for not moving at their own personal/desired pace…in front of customers. He was the only cashier and bagger at the time; instead of offering help other employees were saying things like “he’s moving too slow” loud enough for everyone to hear. It was very uncomfortable for me and my husband as the customer but Richard maintained his composure. We will continue coming to this Harris teeter in the hopes to see that Richard and all employees are respected no matter how quickly they scan and bag someone up.

The lady I had the unpleasant interaction with was very rude, and her attitude was awful. She seemed vindictive and hated the questions I was asking. I didn’t think I was rude nor did I have a pointed tone. I was just asking for help and had some questions. I didn’t come in when they were about to close either. I had come in an hour before they closed, and the store wasn’t terribly busy. It wasn’t packed or anything. It was highly uncomfortable, and she was incredibly rude.

Harris Teeter is one of my favorite supermarkets because they carry a solid selection of real food. I love the layout of the store, it's clean and it's easy to navigate. I appreciate how often staff have assisted me in finding an item. They are also usually friendly and almost always greet me pleasantly. They have super deals and customer friendly programs. I save a lot some days, and I buy real food (which people often think costs more). My only issue is that (more than a few times) there has been a mix up and price error at checkout, I've been overcharged for something, and I've had to go back to get it taken care of. But they are invariably great about doing so, and that matters. The fact that they are so good about resolving problems and making sure I'm satisfied goes a long way with me. It's one reason I am glad to shop there.

This is my go to grocery store most of the time. Unless they don’t have a specific item. Always stopped and always clean and they’re always friendly. Plus with the gas prices being so high the points are great when you’re putting gas.

Was on a trip and just needed some sunscreen. The store was clean as usual and the staff was friendly helping a tourist find sunscreen. Haha thank you

Very nice store doesn't look like much from outside but its clean and nice in the inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I think the deli and salad bar has great options. They have a sushi bar that mb does some great dishes.Plus it has a huge selection of beer and wine they have anything you would want there. The prices are decent with s as less on a lot of the stuff. I will definitely be back to visit.

Open 24 X 7 with a huge parking lot. Has a wider selection of meat, wine, beer, cheese, vegetables, Asian foods, and lot more. Everything is well organized, stocked, and affordable. The vegetables selection has both local and imported ones for reasonable prices. It has pretty much of everything you need for day-to-day cooking. It's comparable to farmer's market but a bit expensive. The meat section has everything except goat or lamb meat. They also have salad bar and good selection of cheese from all over the world. The staff is super friendly, and help customers whenever needed. The store is kept clean, well-maintained, and stocked. They also usually have great deals on many products. Very happy with their service and definitely recommend anyone in the area.

This used to be a wonderful grocery store. It started to go downhill when Kroger purchased H-T. This location is not only in need of a make-over, but the attitude of most of the stuff is terrible. Some of the 'old-time' employees are nice and hard-working. The checkout staff is surly and unfriendly. I do like the meat department and some of the products (although I do not like the H-T brand). I'm shopping at Publix more and more because the attitude at Publix is wonderful. They make you feel welcome.

Clean store, very organized. I always find amazing how straight all the products are, in perfect line. I can see how proud they are keeping the store presentable and clean. A lot of organic products which I love. I also find my favorite fruit from my country Tamarind, which is difficult to find in this city. Amazing wine area and cheese. Love it.

It was a pretty stocked grocery store bug I did not like the paper bags. Unfortunately I got to my destination and a bag fell through the bottom everything was on the ground. Luckily nothing broke i would suggest the store to plastic bags so that they can be doubled for safety of your things(glass items etc)

Get more Managers like Daniel! He is the most courteous Harris Teeter Employee I have ever come across. Daniel was patient, sincere, and genuine in our interaction. I can tell he genuinely loves his job. It’s rare and refreshing.

I've been shopping here for many years. This location is my favorite HT. Best meat department. Friendly deli staff. Produce is usually fresh. My only complaint would be not enough cashiers and the self check out always seems to need a manager to complete the transaction.

My favorite mushrooms were on sale, they almost always have a nice selection of the mushrooms I prefer like shitaki, miaki, hen of the woods, and oyster ... They are helpful when I can't locate something I need. And the cashiers are awesome. Helpful, polite, and often open new lines to cut longer ones.Love my Harris Teeter

While I’m not a big fan of HT in general, I have to say this is the best HT on James Island. It’s clean, the aisles/shelves are not cluttered, their staff is very friendly, and their layout makes it easy to find your way around.

Very clean store. Most of the associates are kind. But, cashiers should be trained to move faster, plz. I wish they had baggers. Very rare to get one.

My fave James Island grocery store. I would say it's my favorite James Island and Folly Beach store, but that goes to Bert's. Excellent beer and wine selection, great produce selection as well. The bakery makes great cakes, and does excellent writing on birthday cakes. Love the friendly staff!

Just got off the phone with “shayna” with questions for two different rx for the kids. She was super knowledgeable and friendly.Also- their pediatrician appointments were at 9 and the prescriptions were ready within an hour. We’ve been using this location on and off for over 7 years and they’ll always go the extra step to make sure your questions and concerns are answered.

For New Year’s Eve, my family had a low country broil that contained crawfish, snow crab legs and Dungeness crab legs purchased at this location. Everything was great except three to four of the Dungeness crab racks. They had a yellowish slime on the meat and an ammonia smell and taste. I refroze the legs and brought them back. Carolyn at customer service went above and beyond and refunded me for the amount of legs I brought back and more. She apologized sincerely on behalf of Harris Teeter. I trusted that it was a fluke and used my refund to buy another pound and a half of Dungeness which I steamed tonight. The meal was delicious. Please commend Carolyn for her great retail skills and customer service

I made an online appointment (mandatory online) with the pharmacy at 6:30PM for a Covid antibody test. It was the last appointment of the day available and I wanted to have it done. I got there and there were a few people standing there. I told the pharmacist I was there for an an antibody test and was turned away. I informed him that I had an appointment at 6:30P and it was 6:25P. I was told then that "We're closing in a half hour and we don't have time."The people standing there appeared to be there for a Covid immunization, as I heard the assistant tell one man to fill out the form for his shot.Apparently walk-up immunizations take priority over my appointment.I know it doesn't matter, but I shop in this store every week, and use the pharmacy for several prescriptions.I am very disappointed in the customer service I received. If they are not capable or willing to honor their own appointment scheduling requirement they should not make late appointments available, or not even offer the antibody test.
