Have been boarding our 2 dog's and 1 cat here for 2 years. Family owned and staff have been the same during this time which shows me they love their job, are treated well and are loyal to Jeff, the owner. The facility may be older but is clean and the care for the animals is superb.

These guys took great care of our doggo! He was fed well and treated with love! This was our first time away and leaving him with a kenneling lodge. He really liked being there and we could tell. Great place; pricing is very reasonable and lots of room to exercise! Thank you and we will bring him back ☺️

The catery is very clean and offers accommodations with a screened outdoor area. JJ always does well at Chapin Pet Lodge. Definitely worth the 45minute drive to know he is safe and happy.

Chapin Pet Lodge is the ONLY place I trust to take care of our beagle and our senior boxer/pittie mix! Jeff and his staff genuinely care about our dogs and the experience we have! I was blown away when they put one of our dog's pills in a pill container for each day, asking if it was for morning, afternoon, evening, and specifics about how the medicine should be given (with or without food, etc). We always have our dogs groomed before we pick them up, and I love how our dogs have a little extra pep in their step because they smell wonderful and have a cute bandana on!You will not regret bringing your dogs or cats here! Thank you, Jeff, for having a family owned business that cares about your customers with two and four legs!

My dog was in a different location when we returned to pick him up but he seemed fine. We have always used this lodge for previous pets because they have decent sized enclosures. He came home and fell asleep, sleeping from 6pm until 9 am the next day. I only saw 1 worker and alot of dogs so I cannot speak to the upkeep of each animal. We paid $203 for a week stay and that included 15 minute play time which we hope he got. I also appreciate that all dogs have to have up to date vaccines. This protects everyone.

Everyone at Chapin Pet Lodge showed a high level of professionalism and care about our three cats. One is high maintenance and they had no trouble with administering his medication. We will recommend Chapin Pet Lodge to anyone who needs away from home care for their pet.

We've been loyal customers for many years and have always been pleased with the care of our dogs and the customer service. Our dog recently was diagnosed with a condition requiring new meds she refused to take. Hats off to Kim in the office and Stacy on the floor for contacting us immediately about the problem and working with us on a solution (pills hidden in handrolled mackerel balls)! 5 stars!

We used Chapin Pet Lodge for boarding our boxer his entire life. Even after we moved to West Columbia, we’d drive out of the way to board him there. We knew he would be well taken care of, and we trusted them completely with our pup. The owner became our dog’s buddy and they were always genuinely excited to see each other when we would drop him off. There were many occasions that he’d get extra love and attention while he was there, outside of what we were paying for. It’s always hard to leave your pet while you’re out of town, but we always had confidence when we left him at Chapin Per Lodge. We are so very thankful for them and will continue using them for all our future pets.

Highly recommend for both boarding and grooming! Very dependable, and our dog gets so excited every time she sees the staff.Once our dog found a way to pull her harness into her kennel from above and chew it. When we returned to pick her up they had already found and ordered the same harness to replace it. The owner then personally delivered it when it came in. When he did, our dog was beyond excited to see him.

I began using Chapin Pet Lodge to board my daschund some months ago, and am well pleased. They have a very friendly staff and excellent facilities. They are also considerably less expensive than the 3 other boarding facilities I have used.

We recently had our three dogs booked at Chapin Pet Lodge for Thursday night through Sunday afternoon. We had three gift certificates each for a 3 day weekend stay. My wife dropped the dogs off on Thursday afternoon around 1pm. She then met me for an out of town weekend trip.After getting back into town, I went to pick up the dogs on Sunday around 1:30pm. We would have picked them up earlier, but they do not open until 1pm on Sunday. When I arrived I was asked about the gift certificates, and whether I wanted to buy some. I explained that I was trying to redeem the gift certificates, and not buy any. The woman at the counter said she wasn't familiar with the certificates and would have to call the owner.When the owner arrived, he got very defensive about the gift certificates, and stated they were for 3 days, Friday-Sunday, regardless of what time you picked up the dogs on Sunday. I explained that I didn't agree with this, and I thought they should be good for any three days. I said it wasn't fair to have to pay for Sunday when they do not open before the required check-out time (12pm). After disagreeing with him, I said I would pay for Thursday night's stay. I then asked about the play times and wanted to make sure we charged only for the times they were actually played with. They should have had 2 play times for the full days, but I expected they only had one play time for Thursday and Sunday. At this time, the owner, Jeff, became very angry and told the woman at the counter to just give me my dogs and not charge me anything. He said our dogs were no longer welcomed back there, and I apparently wanted everything for free. I was kind of shocked in disbelief with how the owner of a business could act like this. With the assistance of the woman at the counter and one of the owners son's, I got my three dogs and all their belongings. As I tried to get all the dogs and their belongings situated in my vehicle, the owner came out to leave in his vehicle. I told him I had planned on paying for services we had, and he abruptly told me that I never planned on paying and got in his car and drove off. I am still shocked at how an owner can act like this.After getting home, I read another review on Angie's list about how the owner, Jeff, treated a retired military veteran the same way when he questioned the military discount policy. I was disgusted at how he treated a member of our armed services. I understand as a business owner you can make your own pricing policies and rules, but there is no excuse at how this owner reacts when a customer questions the policies. He may need to attend an anger management course!

I have used Chapin Pet Lodge twice now and both times we got the dog back he smelled absolutely horrid. Any other boarding facility would have given him a bath before releasing him back to the owners. I am not impressed other than the dog is safe. Customer service is not the best the staff seems. . . disinterested.I suppose this is a good place if you need a last minute reservation and everyone else is booked.

These people Rock. Even when my dog has been a bit of a handful (removed the door from his kennel, although wasn't disruptive) they just found another run that works for him. They follow our instructions, and are always friendly but firm with their requirements in order to keep their charges healthy. I've used their cat boarding in the past, and those facilities are extremely clean and comfortable as well.

Nice facility. They are gonna have my baby for a couple of days. My baby would not come out but they had him out and playing in a pool by the time we got back. Update. Jeff also gave us a tip on walking. He wrapped the leash under Omegas waist and held end of lead. First Omega is 116 pounds. He has while playing dislocated my shoulder. He is so well behaved on a leash. I can't thank them enough.

We have been using there dog groomer for 2 years now, and she is great. We have 2 small dogs and she is very gentle and caring with them. Haircuts are always just perfect.

Jeff and the staff at Chapin Pet Lodge do a phenomenal job taking care of our dog, Winchester! I am not sure what the kids love more, the vacation or picking up Winnie and "breaking him out". Awful. Just awful. Picked up my dogs and they were both covered in urine and feces. Both dogs had cuts on their faces and one looked to have a bite mark. I paid for walks which i doubt they took them on. I guess I'm just used to Wag n Train where it is clean and the dogs are actually cared for, not just left to lay in their own waste.
