They are always fully staffed by knowledgeable people. As soon as you walk in, they ask if you need help in finding your needs. That person will continue to guide you to everything on your list. They even sharpen your knives. There is even a warehouse area for those who have larger building needs.If you need something that is not in store, they will order for you.

I went to Boland’s Hardware this past Sunday because my daughter ordered something and they did not send the screws. I went to Boland’s with a piece from the order hoping I could find the correct screws. Hayden at Boland’s probably spent 15-20 minutes with me finding screws that fit. My purchase was around $6.00 yet he took the time to help. I will be back and spend more.

Very helpful staff, it's your local hardware store! I'll shop here before I'll travel to a Home Depot or Lowe's any day. Their lumber is priced the same or lower and it's much better quality.

I wanted to get and extra key made for my vehicle that i already have. The worker got the manager and he was able to assist me with cutting a key for my car. He charged me 5$ and the key does work versus the dealership wanted to charge 80$

Probably the friendliest and most helpful people in Chapin! Sometimes, it seems a little more expensive than going to Lowes or Home Depot. But with gas and fuel prices, it pretty much bends well into your favor to shop local.

This store always has nice employees who give you personal attention. They provide a small hometown vibe, but with a great selection of items and competitive prices. I frequently find prices here cheaper than the larger big box and online competitors. We’re lucky to have this store in the Chapin area.

The paint desk person spent at least 30 minutes helping me match a stain to a furniture sample I brought with me. Going as far as opening and testing stain on some raw wood. If you need help, nothing beats this ACE hardware store.

It is the best Hardware Store within a 60 mile radius of Columbia. Reminds me of the old Hiller Hardware. They do take Credit & Debit cards.

Needed a key cut for my truck and this was the only place in town that was open on the weekend that could do that. Staff was very helpful and I think the guy's name was Doug who cut the keys for me. Very nice guy and great pricing. First time ever in this store and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

One of my favorite places to spend money on my home and any projects that I am going to work on. Sure beats going to the big box stores cause I know my $'s are going right back into the community!!! The employees are always willing to help you find what you are looking for or order it for you to be in the store within a week.

I believe in taking care of the locally owned businesses. They generally have everything you would need from a typical hardware store. Sometimes the prices can be slightly higher than that of the typical hardware store. However, it's about convenience as well. Support your local family owned businesses like Boland's. You'll be glad you did!

I have shopped at Boland's since I moved to Chapin 6 years ago and have always enjoyed the experience. Boland's almost always has what I need to buy and the staff is usually friendly and helpful. I would normally give Boland's a 4-5 star rating. However, I went in today and noticed that none of the employees were wearing masks or social distancing in any way. I also noticed that they do not require customers coming into the store to wear masks either. In the checkout line, there were 7 people. There were two ladies working the checkout counters. So, I could see nine people, including myself, in that fairly close area. Only 3 of the nine people were wearing masks. I was quite uneasy and ready to get out as quickly as I could. The environment there is dangerous, too dangerous to shop at Boland's for such mundane items as bug spray, extension cords, washers, screwdrivers, and such. Too big a risk for such insignificant purchases. I now have to rate Boland's only 1 star because of their lackadaisical approach to prevention and apparent lack of concern for their customers and employees. Masks are such an easy solution to a big problem; why not use them, if you care about virus transmission? So, if you are immune to COVID, think it isn't real, or just don't care, you can still feel comfortable continuing to shop at Boland's. Otherwise, for anyone concerned for their own health and the health of family members you might convey the virus to, it may be best to stay away from Boland's until the management decides to be more concerned about their employees and customers bringing the virus into their store, passing it to others while in the store, and carrying it away to other people and places.
