Nice, small store with everything your pet might need including grooming service. Lots of toy and food choices. They have snakes, turtles, spiders, lizards, fish, hamsters, sometimes bunnies, sometimes guinea pigs, and usually a few cats from the shelter available for adoption. And they have everything you would need to get your new pet set up. It is always clean, organized, and never very crowded. We sometimes stop in just to visit the cats and see what's new.

O.M.G. the groomers in the Camden location is positively ’Pepperliscious’! Cheery and full of creativity, the ladies there cleaned up my pup and he was so excited to come back but sometimes it’s challenging to get my pup in there cause they busy so often. Have trusted them since they opened. Great staff, clean, professional and affordable.. man would wouldn’t believe the places charging so much for so little. This is my place!!!

I recently took my pet Robin to Nadia, and I must commend her for the exceptional job she did with deshedding and grooming. Robin looks absolutely fabulous – her coat is shiny, and she seems so much more comfortable. Nadia's attention to detail and evident love for animals truly sets her apart. I'm grateful for the wonderful service provided by Nadia, and I highly recommend her expertise to all pet owners!

Purina Pro Plan is actually a little cheaper here. Also, they have the 10th bag is free deal here.The only negative I will say is I have never seen Pig Ears so expensive in my life! The cheapest pig ear was $5.99!! Absolutely insane!

I recently left Petsense Camden SC where I was employed as a part time sales associate. Please keep in mind that I resigned on my own accord for various reasons. Petsense as it is, is just a dog food warehouse that happens to sell live animals as an afterthought. The enclosures that are used can in no way provide an adequate environment for the animals to live in. The Reptiles are kept in cages that can not properly hold humidity or temperature that are required for the animals to survive. The same can also be said about the small animals. While at Petsense I spent a lot of time working with the reptiles and fish. We were deep cleaning every enclosure once a week on Sunday. This practice stopped about 2 months ago. The new policy allowed deep cleaning on a bi-weekly basis which made horrible conditions for these animals. The Manager Tom, said corporate did not want to pay for the hours required to perform weekly cleaning. These animals had to endure filthy conditions for too many days in between. I once came on duty and noticed several animals needed a quick clean up and as I started Tom advised that the animals were fine, don’t worry about them and get the dog food put out. In essence he was telling me that dog food took precedence over a live animal. If an animal is sick, it either dies or goes back to either Southeast pets or Sun Pets where it will be destroyed. They give no chance for an employee to rescue the animal. During my tenure there I have seen many animals die, black bagged, wrote off and dumped in the trash. Even while working at Petsense, I have been opposed to Petsense selling live animals. While not his fault alone, Tom is in way over his head. That is such a shame because the high turnover of employees is a severe brain drain. There is absolutely no reason that anything in that store should ever be more important than a living creature. I am ashamed that I was a part of that process, I actually contributed to this problem but I did care… for the animals, my fellow associates and the company, in that order. Just a thought, please beware of what animal you buy and where you buy it.

There was this nice cashier we mat named Brian. He greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and he got to help me he went above and beyond to make sure “we got what we paid for” with no dead worms to be seen. He is really the kind of person you want to meet.

I was glad to find quality food for my pets after transferring here, albeit at extravagant prices. I am glad they support pet adoption. The staff is great. Unfortunately they do sell small animals and fish which I do not support. Animals are not commodities and should never be confined to small cages, whether lizards, rabbits etc. I was disturbed on my last visit to see rows of Betta fish in tiny containers cringing in the bright lights with no cover. I know from experience that if you take that fish and put it in a decent aquarium with rocks and plants and hideaways it will blossom into a vibrant and gorgeous creature. I wanted to buy them all but that would only support the problem. i hope PetSense management will reconsider selling any living creature. Until then I will no longer be a patron.

My dog has been to several groomers but I have never had one to screw up her cut the way this place did. They should of charged me half price cause she only got half cut. They didn't even touch her head or ears. What's worse is the girl asked me to bring a photo of how I wanted her cut so I gave her 2. She always gets a poodle cut. They trimmed her nose like one but never touched her head or ears. This is crazy.

The store is neat and clean. I walked all over it. The grooming area was tidy, the staff was friendly and helpful. They have an adoption area where I spent about 25 minutes petting a lovely ginger marmalade cat who needed some love and socializing. I truly enjoyed my visit.

The store is modern and clean. Staff was friendly. More on the pricey end, especially for the bunnies/guinea pigs. I do like how they partner with Kershaw Humane Society and adopt their cats/kittens out. Would be nice if they had a larger selection of fish, small pets etc.

Nice place. Crickets are a bit overpriced, though. They tend to have limited stock of items. Things are a bit pricy and they will not price match with Amazon (example: they were selling a reptile bulb for 25 bucks that you could get on Amazon for 17 bucks). If the prices were a bit cheaper, had good stuff kept in higher stock/quantities, and priced matched... would give a 5.

I don't usually post about new businesses, but I really liked this new place! I'm a cat person 100%, and judging by other pet stores I expected there to be little to none for cats. They've got quite the selection! Lots of food and litter, toys, etc.The dog stuff was plenty, but I was pleased with the cat and small animal stuff!And the staff was friendly, I hope this place sticks around!

We are new to the area and were looking for a groomer and read great reviews. Well it was the worst grooming my Shih Tzu has ever gotten, he was very uneven almost shaved in areas. Would not recommend to anyone.
