This store is clean, well-stocked and merchandised beautifully. This store represents a composite of a cross-section of Camden, South Carolina's socio-economic group. I usually go to the Elgin food lion because of proximity. Today was my first experience at the camden food lion on broad st. and it was an exceptional! Even though the store was very busy - Glen went above and beyond for me! He didn’t wait for me to ask for help - he noticed me looking around and asked if he could help me find something. The item was not in stock (I’m sure due to the busy holiday weekend). But he went to the back, found my needed items and personally prepared a bag of produce for me. He was so kind and saved me a trip to the store tomorrow right before Easter Sunday! Not only that, but Caelum my cashier took me as her last transaction of her shift even when her lane was closed - and was so nice to us! What great customer service! Excellent employees and people!

2nd time I've been here and deli is closed. Says till 7 on hot bar.. and it's 6:20. Happened last Saturday morning as well. Had to request wings at 11:30... lugoff is better.

Tried calling customer service 6 times and no answer. Just left there and store was dead. No excuse! Called deli, would not get store manager for me. Have complaint but no one to tell. Bagboy put frozen wet stuff in my bags with cereal boxes, etc. Everything wet. I separated it on the belt. Ridiculous! Too busy talking to do their job. Only had two bags and no other customers in line. Pissed!!!! Shameful customer service

Terrible store. Hardly never get what we need in one trip. Camden has the worst Grocery Stores in the Carolinas. Sodas are NEVER Stocked. All the Food Lion brand items are sold out majority of the time, and the store is so packed everytine in there, it makes for a miserable shopping experience. WE NEED MORE GROCERY STORES ASAP

The store and bathrooms were clean. The layout was logical making it easy to find what we wanted. The meat department had a short 3 minute wait for items advertised as on sale due to the customer volume at the time. The cashier was friendly and worked very quickly. It was a very good shopping experience.

Manager walks up to my girlfriend and her service dog,never introduces himself, nor stating that he is the manager and demands that the dog has to be taken out of the cart,she shows him the credentials, he rudely states "It still has to walk"..It was a brief encounter ,but was intimidating and rude...My dog was scared and my girlfriend too.We don't have a problem with the protocol, but his presentation was extreme and uncalled for...Therefore we won't return to the store. ..Never have been approached by any employee in that manner over the last 20 years. ...Service dogs are used for a reason. FYI my dog weighs 26 lbs. ..

I've been to better , needs a good cleaning. Bring reusable bags if you got them.. Say NO to paper bags. Save a tree!

Good selection of produce, beers, wine and frozen foods. I can find spices here that I can't find anywhere else in town.[update]I had previously stated I go elsewhere for meats. I am pleased to say that I no longer will do so if I am shopping here. They have rearranged their layout since I first posted this review and have greatly improved their selection.

Food lion is the worst about long wait times at their check out stations. Rock Hill location has self checkout and I think that makes all the difference. I also used to shop to-go here but their out of stocks are so crazy I barely got half of a straightforward order. I no longer shop to-go because of this and I would have to go somewhere else to shop anyway. The pandemic is at a lull and out of stocks should not be so prevalent when other stores have a plethora of items they are missing.

Crowded quite often. Good fresh vegies. Manager not to friendly, though she seems to be gone the last 2 times I was there! Back of store (where they supply from) was not at all clean, rest of store was ok.

Prices can be cheaper than Wal-Mart if you take advantage of the food lion card and print out you personal discounts from the device in the store. Some good sales.Some of the employees need customer relationship training but it's better than most.

Don't care for the number system they use in the Deli department. Sliced meat is from #1-6 and no shaved meat! #1 is too thick. Because of this change we buy our deli meat at a competitor.UpdateI went to Food Lion to buy deli ham. There's a big improvement, shaved ham. The problem now is, when you open the bag it tears where the label is.Does anyone else have this problem?A suggestion would be putting the price label somewhere else and using a security tape to insure the safety of the product.

Food Lion they fool are pretty high all their food are pretty high every grocery store you go to is high. but food Lion they not cheap but they do keep a clean store nice staff and nice people's to work with but they still short in help I like going there because they are kind people's and caring people's that's the reason why I shop there and I give them ten thumb up come uper

The Camden location is so much better than Lugoff. The people are great and they have so much more product. I drive out of my way from Lugoff to go here in Camden.
