Well, we planned on the prime rib... and if you are as well, avoid Saturday. We were told that they sold out from Thursday and Friday nights. Our groups heart sank. The prime rib should be erased from the chalk board menu out front. We even brought their own favorite Horseradish. Salivating for prime rib. It was my first time there. We had appetizers, alternate selections & took dessert pie home. Service was on point & Swift. We also planned time for the museum. That was Closed. Local Christmas event was going on that was nice. #DINNINGWITHDARRELL

Hold onto your taste buds! I visited The Eatery and their pan sautéed scallops were a revelation - perfectly seared morsels of ocean delight, creating a symphony of flavors in my mouth. It's as if the chef whispered a secret to each scallop before cooking it to perfection. The scallops had me daydreaming of seaside escapades with each bite, and the ambiance and service at the restaurant only amplified the experience. If your soul craves a culinary adventure, make a beeline to this delightful restaurant for these scallops. Trust me, your palate will thank you for the indulgence!

What a wonderful dining experience! The food was delicious, wait staff and atmosphere was great. Tucked away in a small town that is charming. Only disappointment was that they did not have the prime rib (which was on menu) and were out of their signature pie!! The train museum attached to it was a bonus and the gentleman who was there gave us a great tour and info. We will be back!

Exceptional food, very reasonable prices! Be sure to visit the adjoining railroad museum. Branchville, SC is the site of the world's oldest railroad junction!

We were really disappointed with the meal, this is what the shrimp and grits looks like if you get it for carryout, not a lot of food considering what they charge for the shrimp and grits, and it was put in a cardboard container, that soaked up all the water out of the grits and got it so wet it wet the bottom of the bag it was in, after a 15 minute drive home, the grits was completely scaled over and hard in the bottom and just not fit to eat, it should have been in a styrofoam tray. Also got a chicken tender kids meal, they did put that in a styrofoam tray, but it should have put some wax paper or tinfall under it, the chicken was so hot it melted through the styrofoam and gave it a yucky taste, we were really disappointed in the quantity and quality of the food.

It is located in Branchville, SC. We met some friends for dinner there who live in Branchville. Reservations are required. The wait staff were on top of making sure our drinks were full. My wife had the fried catfish. I had the prim rib, and both were excellent .We had the chocolate cake and the ritz cracker pie for desert. That pie was wonderful. There was a total of six of us ( automatic 18% gratuity added). The bill was around $200. Highly recommended the Eatry.

I went there to order 4 plates to go because they would never answer the phone. I spent $96 on very small portions. One little scoop of red rice on the dinners, you can only get 1 piece of fish, can't order 2 pieces or a side piece. I got there at 610 right after they opened, and come on they were already out of catfish. Ran out of red rice, left a salad out. I just went to Williams Seafood in Walterboro yesterday, and got 4 plates with 2 pieces of catfish and shrimp and sides for way less at $60 and a large portion was red rice. Way less, more portions and awesome tasting food. I waited at the depot pick up window for 20 minutes before being acknowledged, as several workers looked over but never said anything. This was definitely my last trip.

Normally I don't write reviews, however very disappointed after a 1 hour drive. Loved the atmosphere BUT: Shrimp and grits: 2 out of 10, tomato soup with a few shrimp over grits - no seasoning. Fried Grouper/Shrimp Special: Shrimp average, grouper below average - bland, very strong fish flavor. Broiled Salmon Special - average. Hopefully, we went on an off-night.

Can't say enough good things about this place. The food is to die for. This little gem is a true hometown diamond. The quaintness of the restaurants means you need to make reservations, but the food and wait are worth it.Also the train museum is worth a look. The gentleman that is in there is a great story teller and full of knowledge. I could have listened to him for hours.

Sounds like a great place. I've never eaten here. I called to see if they have pies and cobblers. Yes! They do (5stars), however, they are only open for dinner 6-9😠 Just letting the traveling world know. Not sure if that's an everyday thing, today's Friday..... They really should put their hours on here.

We have been going here for years. We have always enjoyed the food. We like how lightly breaded the seafood is.We went last Thursday and had seafood platters but the shrimp was over cooked and tough. We were disappointed.

This is a little hidden gem located in the old railroad depot in Branchville. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had a large party and no one was disappointed in anything that was ordered, or the service.I had been in contact with the owner months in advance for our plans to visit. They opened a little early to accommodate our group so we could be in and out before the main rush came at 6pm. I cannot say enough about this little place. We all rode from Charleston to Branchville for dinner. It was truly worth the trip as this is a downtown Charleston type of dinner, with much less headaches to access.Plan to arrive early to get in line. They have the Branchville Railroad & Shrine Museum attached and it opens at 5:30pm. You can take a stroll through the museum while you wait, or visit after dinner. Branchville is the oldest railroad junction in the world. Take a step back in time and plan to stroll through the museum and have a wonderful dinner all in the same evening, you will not be disappointed.
