The store was pretty clean and the staff was courteous. The only complaint I have I'd not only for this store but all the DG stores I've been in which is they all seem too crowded (product wise). The customers would be able to locate more items or see what items are available if the stores were a little bigger.

Everything was great, the store was stocked very well and pretty clean compared to like a year ago. BUT when I went up to the register a boy (I think) with brown hair and spectacles said ”you look like you do shrooms” . I asked him what he meant and as he was checking my groceries out, he(?) would not shut up about it. He accused me of being the reason the store smelt of weed. I DIDNT get an even “have a good day”. I am very disappointed that this person has not been fired, as other reviews also describe his mal-behaviors.

I think that in the past few months the store has generally been more well kept than before, but I’ve had multiple encounters with an specific employee that concern me, especially considering we don’t know each other and this is probably being said to other customers.I saw an employee just standing at the register on his phone. the employees have started wearing name tags, so I know his name is Austin. Austin has in the past also said vastly inappropriate comments to me (and based on other reviews, others too). The first comment was made about three months ago. Austin was checking my groceries out and was intentionally going very slow, occasionally looking down at his phone. Then, what looked like a teenager came into the store and Austin proceeded to stop checking me out just to call them derogatory names. I didn’t care enough to leave a review because I thought he was maybe having an off day, but after another experience like this, and reading the reviews I decided I needed to also leave one. Recently(the past week or so), when I have gone into the store, Austin has been saying things along the lines of “go ahead and leave a bad review, there’s already plenty” after a customer asked why he was being so aggressive. When I checked out almost the same conversation ensued. He had an attitude, and I asked why he had an attitude directed at me. He proceeded to say the same as before. So I am leaving a review. This behavior is inappropriate and frankly, I think he should be fired immedietly.

Literally just left. Embarrassed and angry. I went in buying a couple of pregnancy test. As I get to the front the long haired boy with glasses is telling customers that he would like his job more if he didn’t have to interact with people as I go up to put my stuff on the counter he looks at me and laughs and goes “ I always wondered every time you come In here you buy a pregancy test.” And I was in shock then proceeded to ask me if I knew If I needed to wait to take one because I buy them all the time as if he was making fun of me . It’s none of his concern on why I’m buying and what I’m buying and it isn’t the first time every time I’ve went in there he seems to have some comment on what and why I’m doing. Idk if he does this to others but it’s unprofessional and it’s rude and i don’t know if I will be returning. It was so embarassing.

As soon as I stepped in the door I could hear the manager on the phone, on an unrelated call to work, yelling obscenities. He even looked over at my kids and kept yelling. When I commented on this behavior, he rolled his eyes. While asking another employee for their manager, they pointed at the man who was previously yelling. I am very disappointed in my experience there.

Probably the worst stocked, junkiest Dollar general I've ever been in. Every shelf is empty, junk everywhere you can't even walk in the aisles. 4 months we've been waiting for restock on several different items. What a nightmare to have locally.....

I love visiting my hometown store in Saint Stephen South Carolina every time I go there as soon as I walk in I'm greeted with a big smile and a welcome.. and everything I always go for is always there,nthe shelves are always stocked. and if I ever need any help it's always available the folks are very friendly...Hometown proud.!!!

Karen was so rude to me and when I asked her her name she turn her name tag over. Because she knew she was mean and hateful. A lady came out and told me she is that way with all people. Dollar General needs to do something about this VERY RUDE PERSON!!!

Store looks like it should be one the nicer ones, the store like others is cluttered dirty can't find items for the carts with stowage bins All over , they need some serious help. Went to get milk but too close to being out of date!

Very rude. They get my business all the time. Parked in the back one day to meet my friend. Had two boxes in the back of my car, full of clothes because im in the middle of moving, and immediately got accused of stealing them off the rack.

It's a good Dollar General, saves us country folks from having to go all the way to Moncks Corner, when we need the basics as milk, cereal, eggs you know that type of stuff!!
