We board our dog Waylon here when we go on any vacations or overnight trips. I never have to worry about him while we’re gone because I know he is also on vacation! He has the best time playing all day with other dogs. I love the fact that they did a personality/temperament test before his initial stay so they can place him with other dogs that have the same temperament. He sleeps for days when we pick him up! ❤️

Simply the BEST!!!! We have been using The Bark Shack for boarding since we moved here 8 years ago. We first started boarding our Saint Bernard, Beverly there and now board our Lab, Rosie there. The staff is phenomenal and communication is excellent!!! Rosie gets so excited the minute we pull into the parking lot and she leaves happy and exhausted. Best boarding/grooming facility around!!!

Pet got severely injured during a two night stay. Now after a vet bill of almost $900, my poor dog has a 2-week recovery for ulceration of paw pads and is on 2 different pain medications. Beware, this place uses astroturf which radiates heat and is, in general, extremely terrible for dogs to play on. This all could have been avoided if pet was actually monitored properly while playing, which is what I paid for them to do. I noticed my dog limp as soon as I left and my boyfriend shortly called after picking her up to inquire about this. Safe to say, nothing was done. Instead, all I have as a result is an outrageously, high vet bill and a sad, injured dog. I never feel the need to write bad reviews (rarely even take the time to write any at all), but with the state of my pet I feel obligated to warn others.

They are amazing!! My puppy is so happy when he gets there and is so tired when he gets home! The people there are awesome so sweet and friendly… and the groomers are fabulous!!! We love the Bark Shack!!

This was my first visit to the Bark Shack with my 1 and a half year old pup. He stayed all day and by the time he came home he was pooped. The staff is super friendly and the set up is neat. The prices are also very reasonable.

I have known Karen since she started The Bark Shack from her home. I would not trust my dog to anyone else. The staff provides loving, individualized care to each and every pet with plenty of fun and exercise.Transportation and grooming services are offered as well. A great over-all experience.

My dogs have been seeing Karen at the Bark Shack for over eight years. They have used the doggy daycare, which is fantastic, and my Springer Spaniel has been groomed by Karen and her staff. He actually loves to be groomed and will fall asleep when brushed by anyone. :-)Karen stays at my house when I am out of town so the dogs have someone with them at night. To relate just one story of how awesome Karen is, my Springer is 13 now and we were out of town. Karen sent an early morning video and message that he had to go to the vet. Oh No! He is 13 is what I was thinking and the video showed symptoms of a stroke, seizure, or vertigo.She immediately got him to the vet, stayed in contact with me the whole time, and it turned out to be just vertigo. I can tell you that I was thinking the worst, which having a dog for 13 years, you do not want the dog to be by himself and I certainly wanted to be there. I knew though that no matter what he was in capable hands, and he loved Karen too.Karen stayed with him, got his medications, and has watched him through until we got home.If you are considering where to place your fur child, Karen and the staff at Bark Shack are compassionate, caring, attentive, and will treat your fur child like theirs.Karen knows how to reach me if you would like to talk personally, but I highly recommend Karen, the Bark Shack, and staff.Signed,Fur Mom

Our dog goes to The Bark Shack for daycare 3 days/week and is conveniently picked up and dropped off by the "school bus". She loves going and is tired when she gets home. She also stays there when we're out of town. I know I can call and check in on her. The staff keep track of whether or not your dog has eaten and all the toys and blankets always come home with them. They also offer grooming - our other dog is afraid to have his nails trimmed, so a staff member actually came to our home to trim his nails! 4 paws up!

I had heard many good things about bark shack. Maybe their boarding service and dog grooming are better. But for my cat to look like this, from that, for $75!! Crazy. I have a pair of wahl clippers at home..I could have done this..

My dog lets me know when he's not happy with his weekly drop offs. We have used places that he refuses to go back inside. Not Bark Shack, he gets excited when we get near by! Goes right in and never looks back. That tells me all.

We love the Bark Shack! My sister and I both bring our dogs in for doggy daycare just about every weekend. It's super affordable and the boys love it. They hop right out of the car and run for the door as soon as we get there. Best part is they are exhausted when we pick them up! Great place and great people taking care of my sweet pup 💖

Our two pibbles were very happy at Bark Shack and it was really nice to pick up clean smelling pups although our Tank gave the shampooers a hard time as this was his first professional shampoo it took 3 people to shampoo him. He is a big 80lb baby! Thank you Bark Shack we will be back and hopefully next time Tank will be more cooperative.

We love the Bark Shack almost as much as Gambol the Wonderpup! After having a dog who was terrified of other dogs, we started Gambol at the Bark Shack on an occasional basis when she was pretty young (3 months or so).Now we have a well-socialized doggy who loves her weekly (or so) visit, which is also a perfect time to get things done around the house.The staff here are kind, wonderful, helpful, flexible and they also love dogs. And the prices are even reasonable! What more could a dog want?

Great system and coordinate well. Their kennels have some breathing room. Most importantly, very secure. Our 3 pitbull boys were very well taken care of and loved. They came home very happy and slept really well

Pulling up to the Bark Shack, it is immediately obvious that the folks here care. The grounds are beautiful, there is a penthouse for tiny dogs to sit and look out the window to watch comings and goings. The inside is immaculate and the people are genuinely happy and it makes you feel confident about handing over your baby for them to care for.Day care and boarding and grooming, they have a bus that will pick up your dog and drop off your dog! How awesome is that!!!

My dog was super scared the first time we went here. The staff took time with my dog and she was actually excited to go back there the next day. The last place I used to take her to immediately put her with bigger dogs-- she was always scared everytime I took her so I just kept her at home.Every staff member at Bark Shack was polite and sweet with all the dogs

I am the first to say I am a helicopter dog mom and WOW did this place do an amazing job. Immediately when you walk in you know it’s clean (it doesn’t smell at all), and extremely attentive. I took him out a few days for a walk and I found a tick on him and they even took care of that for me. When I dropped him back off there he ran inside and was so excited to be there. I 100% will be returning here when we come to visit bluffton again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my baby!!

Such a great place to board cats! They get a whole room to roam. Lots of things to climb, nice people to play with, and even a window to watch the dogs outside!ETA: on my most recent trip to board, I lost my cat in the parking lot (carrier fell apart) and the whole crew went above and beyond to help me. For days they searched, called, set and monitored traps, helped me distribute flyers. After a week I found her! And it would not have been without the wonderful staff at the Bark Shack!

We live in Florida and we were going to visit my sister in South Carolina. My niece takes her dog Olli to The Bark Shack and it's so happy with the place, that we decided to take Molly with us and let her spend a few days at the bark Shack. She seemed very happy there and the staff was wonderful.

We booked in advance to have our small dachshund stay Friday night and pickup after our boat rental on Saturday. We also asked for a bath and nail trim. On pick up day we go to pick up our dog and they give us a female version of our dog. Looked so much like our dog that we took “her” out to the car and walked her around the van to see if she needed to go pee before we drove off. The only problem is TOBY is a male and they gave us a female. I walked back in and promptly told them that TOBY is a male and this dog is a female and that they gave us the wrong dog. The staff apologized and said they would go get toby and give him a bath since they bathed the wrong dog. In the end we ended up with our still wet dog. Now I am sure this does not happen very often but the story needs to be told of our experience.

The employees are very friendly! The dogs have all kinds of room to run around and play. My 2 dogs loved it! Very clean facility! The employees are very knowledgeable and will help with any needs you may have. Highly recommend The Bark Shack!

I'm sure this will receive an excuse from the owner but that is all it will be. An excuse. I trusted this glorified kennel with my German Shepard for 8 days. They let him sit in a ant hill. Almost a hundred bites and one got infected. Bites from other dogs all over. The owner blamed it on an ant or bug in her car and because she picked him up on Thursday, I was in the emergency room Friday and Saturday when vets are closed except for 24hr in Savannah she claims I was the one who neglected the dog. The owner is nothing but a 12 yr old who partied way too much in the 80's or 90's... maybe 70's because she looks very burnt out. Never take your dog here. Staff is very nice and welcoming but overnight stay, well just stay away

The people are great and greet my dog every time we come. Thay are very accommodating for your pet! I asked for my dog to be in a smaller group because he started shaking when we got there the last few times. He is getting older and I didn't feel him being with the larger group was good for him anymore. They said no problem and he has been much better! No shaking and he is more willing to go with the worker when U leave!!! We live the Bark Shack!!!!

I had to board my 2 babies last minute due to work and Karen the owner was so accommodating. I have never boarded my boys before and the owner let me know I can text her and she would keep me updated. They had their blankets and toys all bundled up when I came to pick them up plus they were freshly bathed. Even though I picked them up earlier than expected I had absolutely no problems. My boys seemed so happy and relaxed when I got them and they are now crashed out at home. They were amazing and I will definitely bring my boys here again in the future.
