What a great little quaint restaurant! Our group took a day trip to eat here and check out the Springs. The food was amazing! Large portions too! They accommodated 10 of us well, and the atmosphere was pleasant. They have jams, honey, handmade items, homemade breads, quilts, etc, in the gift shop area. There are benches outside to sit and watch the sleepy little town. Definitely a do over for us all!!

Not at all what I was expecting. It's definitely a different experience, but in the best way possible. The food is incredible. Home cooked meals, large portions, and multiple options, including vegetables and meats. The butternut bread is phenomenal, and all of their desserts genuinely taste homemade and delicious.Vegetarian options: Green beans, sweet potatoe casserole, cabbage, carrots, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cakes, breads.

This place is all kinds of great! The staff were welcoming and the food portions are large. I'm fairly picky with meats, but their meatloaf with stewed tomatoes was heavenly (the nice gentleman serving even asked if I preferred the end or middle piece-very thoughtful). They have fresh bread for sale and even some that are gluten free, which shows how thoughtful they are concerning their guests. This is worth the trip. I will definitely be back! Definitely recommend -give them a try!

This is basically a meat and three but it is so good. Do yourself a favor and get the meatloaf with stewed tomatoes on top. The butter bread and coconut cake are delicious as well. It is not fancy but the people are nice and the food and service is great. They have a little shop that sells desserts, loaves of breads, jams/jellies and a few other items as well. We have to travel a little over an hour to get to Miller's, but it's so worth it and such a special treat.

We went here looking for homemade cookies and ended up having lunch. The food I'd AMAZING!! I recommend this place and will be going back to eat next time I'm in town. There were 4 of us and we shared plates. The first plate was pork roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, and beats. The second plate was meatloaf, carrots, broccoli casserole, and sweet potato casserole. My mom and I also had the salad bar, which had so much stuff and best of all homemade croutons that were soft and seasoned perfectly. The portions are large and I can't say enough about how good the food was and fresh!Wish they were open later on a Saturday so I could take my Dad.Oh and lots of freshly baked deserts.

We had already had lunch, so we didn't get to try the buffet. We did buy four of their triple chocolate cookies. We took them with us and ate them over the next three hours as we went sightseeing in the area. We stopped back by just before they closed at 3 pm (apparently new hours on Saturday as 2 pm was marked out and corrected on their sign). I ran back in to get another four cookies. I noticed they had lemon bars and I asked for one of those too. The nice lady behind the counter came back with six cookies and also gave me a second lemon bar! The other photos are opposite the restaurant towards the stoplight and worth the very short walk.

This is southern back road good eats find! Within my tenure as a chef, I have probably made over 4,000 pounds of fried chicken-From double to triple breaded crispy corners to the mouth watering moisture releasing centers, this fried chicken was all that! Superb period. There was no stress to be had in this comfort food. All delicious! The warm cornmeal turned into bread with salted Amish butter became a sweetheart dessert. With a Backyard Garden not too far away, the century old cast iron stove was slow cooking the fresh handpicked green beans. Pies here, are aromatherapy to the sweet tooth. Made from scratch, the coconut cream pie is definitely the go to here! The entire experience and ambiance was straight from food network’s unscripted food love story.

Hadn't been here in a while. I came to get some homemade bread. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to choose from, but I did purchase the cinnamon bread. Upon arriving home, I thought a slice would go well with a cup of coffee, but I was disappointed. The bread was very stale and hard to even slice with a knife. At least the birds are enjoying it.

I am sorry to write this, because I think Mr. Miller is an awesome, Godly man, and I respect his family a lot. Not sure what happened, but the food was not good. Generally we avoid cafeteria style and buffets because they are quite stressful with multiple children. If we had known they had switched to cafeteria style, we would not have stopped. My pork chop was good and the sweet potatoes were very good, but the vegetables all needed salt. My wife did not like her chicken. It was dry and unseasoned baked. There were no legs for the kids, so they received overcooked, dry wings. I guess people go there for the bread and desserts. And where were the Mennonites? We could see none there. They used to work and serve there. We drove 15 miles out of the way to go there, and it was not worth it. Buyer's regret here.

I discovered this restaurant in a Facebook post, one of those "here's a fun SC day trip" articles. I decided to camp at Barnwell State Park and check out the nearby healing spring. I could not have anticipated just how great the meal was here. The service was friendly, and the cost was very reasonable. A metal for two with dessert and tip was $30.Most of what I read about Miller's Bread Basket said it is a buffet. That is incorrect. It is served cafeteria style, so you pick what you want and the server prepares your plate. Don't worry though, portions are generous! They serve a variety of meats, casseroles, and veggies. They also offer a fresh salad bar.We had the July 5th special roast beef, and it was the best I've ever had. Please note I'm a country gal with a large family, and I've had some pretty amazing home cooking in my life. This was the best roast beef I've ever had. The sides were equally impressive. They will let you sample any of the dishes if you like. I highly recommend you try the harvard beets!Dessert for me was the hummingbird cake. Split this one, it is very rich. Contains nuts, raisins, cinnamon and thick cream cheese frosting. Hubby had the brownie sundae which consisted of a warm brownie base, topped with heaps of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup.

Delicious food. It is served cafeteria style. So you can choose two meats and two sides. Or one meat and two sides whatever you wish. It is also an Amish shop where you can buy homemade things such as jam and breads and quilts. The food was delicious.

Wow. The food was amazing and the staff super friendly. First restaurant in the south I've been to serving sweet stewed tomatoes. So good over the black eyed peas and meatloaf. Fried chicken was tasty and the stew beef amazing. And the desserts. Let me just say it was our first but definitely not last visit. Got to go dinners, desserts, preserves, and homemade baked assorted loafs. As northerns, we have visited PA Dutch Country numerous times and on a smaller scale felt like home.
