I would have given 5 stars based on previous experience. But, I went in tonight at 8:30 pm, filled my cart and headed to the checkout to find only the self checkout open. Found two young employees and asked if I was expected to checkout and bag my own groceries. The answer was yes. I told them since I wasn't paid to do that I wasn't starting now. I left the cart where it was and walked out.

The workers are wonderful. They're not and there's a lot of things defined and easy to find them. There's plenty of room on the isles to pass people and 2 carts at a more. It's. Just more pleasant shopping?

Good place to shop. Staff could be more friendly and helpful. A elderly lady was reaching for a pre made pie crust. Guy that worked there was 3 ft. away. Never helped her. I came from the end of the isle and got her the pie crust. They need to be more aware.

Nicest grocery store I've been in yet I'm the Beaufort, Port Royal, Bluffton area. Not the closest. But worth a few minutes extra drive. Good parking. Good selection. Roomy. Well displayed. Helpful and friendly staff.

New Food lion, still needs time to get their shipments sorted out as a lot of products still not being stocked correctly. The important thing is that they finally got fried chicken coming out of the deli. The $10 fried chicken meal is a number one dinner option. So happy they have it now.UPDATE 4/15/22 the store still has inventory issues and not sure how regular the fried chicken is available but the young lady working deli got me my 8 piece for dinner. Many thanks to her. Cashier and bagger were very friendly .6/30/22 The store is doing much better, more associates and more inventory. I have to mention that the deli seems to be coming along but they have a lunch schedule now which means if you want 8 pcs of fried chicken you will need to have two four pc (lunch) bags combined. After 4pm they put out 8 pcs bags for the meal deal. 6/24/23 PI Gateway store- amazing 8 pc fried ckn on sale and yet only 4 pc available. Deli asst mang refused to rebag and retag 2, 4 pc for us...lost that sale but ..oh well.8/26/23 Had fried chicken ?

Cheaper than publix but not as nice in terms of aesthetics and I found a large box of eggs that were all expired. The expiration date was Dec 24, date I found them Jan 10. Yikes. Buyer beware.

I shop here weekly and like it a lot better than the other one in town. The store is clean and has a good overall selection. Staff is nice in all my experiences so far. I'll continue to shop here. Oh and return your shopping carts!!!!

While I shop here often because it's near my home, I find myself looking for a more permanent place to get groceries because every single time I go here, no matter what time of day it is,, I'm being chased down by the world's loudest floor buffer/cleaner thing. It's obnoxious. It's hard to concentrate on what I need to buy because the machine is so loud that I spend most of my visit dodging isles to avoid it.

I really enjoy the in store shopping, and especially the Food Lion app; I can make lists, add ecoupons, look at the weekly sales, adding items to my list, shop for my items by the aisle, and much much more. And management and the employees are so helpful!

Food Lion is a real disappointment compared to Bilo.They are understocked, the staff is inexperienced and they have a poor variety of hot foods.Very disappointing.They need to try harder.They have 3Stores in Beaufort and only the smallest one is efficient bit they replaced all the experienced staff with kids that don't know what they're doing

This is your offering of a fresh sub sandwich? Dry day-old bread (was made yesterday, as all 3 others available), lame/limp greens, no tomatoes, no condiments available to try and resurrect this fossil. I now understand how you had the profit to supplant Bilo who drew plenty of people flocking to the store for fresh food every lunch hour! Management needs to reconsider their approach quickly before they lose ALL customers that used this location regularly. Do better Food Lion.

They had what I needed. The slight issue was that the young man at the register did not know much about bagging groceries. He placed my fresh tomatoes, peaches, and blueberries in the bottom of the bag and everything else on top of them. I insisted on him re-bagging and using two bags. Other than that, things went well.

Employees are really good. Especially Ken in produce. He saw me put down some wilted lettuce and went to the back and got me a fresh bunch. Really appreciate that level of customer service.

I get the struggle to keep and hire good employees but this is disgusting and definitely needs attention! I know I can shop elsewhere but this location is very convenient for me. I will not shop here if this doesn’t get addressed and I’m sure other people are just as disgusted.

Just stopped in to pick up a few things in the store though it was a busier time of the day I was in and out really quickly the cashier was very nice and knowledgeable about a few things that I had to grab.

There is some things that I love to get from here but they need to really work in the meat department
