We would have adopted a cat named boots from here. He had been there since he was a kitten and he's 6 years old now. The lady up front Mrs. Platts told us her person that does the adoptions only does them on thursdays. While that would have been fine but due to us working on thursdays we can't do an adoption on thursday. She was not willing to contact her adoption person so we could adopt the cat another time. Get rid of Mrs. Platts and i'm certain those animals could find loving families. She's bad for business. Poor animals. However loved the rest of the crew.

wonderful wonderful place. They're doing so much good for these animals out in the rural areas where there are so many abandoned animals with no one to take care of them. Lots of good stuff here. The staff is trained in the medical field and very detail-oriented and sure to do everything properly, which is nice to know when you're contemplating adopting a pet. They are very into safety first, and not to bury the lead, but they don't kill any animals, which of course is refreshingly wonderful. This is a much-needed place in a location where they will not run out of animals to save. Top notch

I had the pleasure of working with Missy and Vicki and a number of other staff members during the process of adopting my dog. I met a dog who I loved, but she had to finish heartworm treatment before coming home. They did such a good job of taking care of her for the following months and keeping me updated on her status and results. The facility is clean and well-managed and I have nothing but good things to say about this organization!

The proportions are extremely small they have limited stuff on the menu now.my fries was cold my husband's broccoli was cold. We asked for medium well and we got well well well done steaks. The waitress was real nice and helpful.you need to quit microwave and stuff and actually cook

Fantastic staff and facility! Everyone so gracious and nice. Very informative and helpful. We drove 4+ hrs to get our adorable corgi mix puppy. Love her so much. Worth the trip. Highly recommended shelter.

This was the most demoralizing experience I have ever had. They insinuated that I was an unfit dog owner because they could not find records that I gave my 11 year old dog- who died of congestive heart failure- heartworm medicine. Which I did every month but my old school vet does not take records of who they sell the medicine too. I'm adopting from somewhere else who doesn't make me feel so bad about caring for and loving my previous pet, but not having records to prove it. They never even would meet me in person before coming to their wrong conclusion!

We waited an entire week for them to call us back, and when we called they didn't answer. They called back two days later to say they wanted to do a home visit and another in person interview. We said no thanks and adopted a dog from the Aiken County Shelter which was much easier and they were much more polite.

Adopted an adorable Feist mix dog 4 months ago from this facility. She was already trained in obedience and has been a joy for us. The staff was pleasant and informative and I highly recommend adopting an animal from them.

I saw an exercise bike there yesterday asked of price they said there was none. As of yet and I would have to put my name on list under another person who wanted it. When they upcome up with price they would call us accordingly.with price ..They called me said 25 dollar. But get there fast if some oNE ask they would sell I said well that's not real fair cause I waited on them. 2 min later they called me back said no need to come it was sold.

Excellent thrift store where you can find anything from dishes to books. Prices are so low you will leave with a few bags of goodies for less than $20 and it benefits the animal shelter. Check it out!!

I had to call on a weekend because I found a kitten with a lid stuck to its head. It wouldn't let me near it to get it off. I never got a call back or anything. I didn't live anywhere near the area so I couldn't check back on the little guy but I would have liked a call to see if they even got my message

Great place with loving caretakers that really care for the animals. They make sure the animals go to a good home and go through the steps to make sure you feel secure about the adoption.
