Cannot say enough good about this rescue; we got our first MAMAS pup last summer and had such a wonderful experience, we had to come back for a second doggie. They carefully vet their applicants and give you all the tools you need to succeed (leashes, collars, even got a free crate this last round). They are available via text long after the adoption takes place to share in the joy of your new pet and answer any questions that may arise. You can tell these are real animal lovers who want nothing more than to find otherwise neglected dogs the perfect home.

M.A.M.A.S. Animal rescue absolutely shattered our hearts. My boyfriend and I applied for an adorable pup the day after she was listed. We went through the entire application process and emailed the coordinator personally and never even received the courtesy of a response. The fact that this organization didn’t even have the decency to inform us that this pup had already been adopted is frankly incredibly rude. We spent time and money to apply for her because we truly believed she would be the missing piece of our family. Please don’t put yourself or your family through this pain. Adopt through a responsive organization who will respect you enough to respond and say that your dream puppy has already been adopted.

We visited MAMAS in April on our return from FL to PA, and found sweet little 6-months old Carly who won our hearts immediately. She was 20-21lbs, of unknown breed(s), and now, in late August is just under 35 lbs of great personality and happiness. We couldn't be more delighted. We had her spayed shortly after arriving in PA; no complications. Did a DNA test and found Min-Pin, Dachshund, Toy Fox Terrier and Weimaraner in her heritage. Plus more from various 'Mixed Breed' ancestors in the line. A little-of-this, little-of-that recipe for a great dog! MAMAS is an excellent shelter and we'd recommend it highly to anyone looking for a well cared for rescue opportunity. Good luck!

I volunteer here. These people truly love the animals they care for and do everything they can to keep them happy, healthy and get them ready for their forever homes. Clean conditions and plenty of space for each of the animals. Most loving animal shelter I've ever been to, with a wonderful staff.

I took a rescue to them today. This dog was dumped, hungry, and was running loose in the highway.They were very professional and took the dog. I know he will find a forever home soon.Please support this shelter.I went there today to check and see if they had a dog I was told was taken there. They were very unfriendly. The manager was rude.My was not impressed. VERY RUDE STAFF!

Great place to work. And really nice place/people to turn in stray dogs to or a dog you may can no longer keep. They care for dogs really well , treat them as if they were part of their own family.

I have been trying off n on for more than a no to get in touch with this shelter n have had no luck luck in getting any response to my phone calls. My brother has two dogs in there n we are trying to find out how to get them or what has happen to them n no answer I even called sheriff dept n they didn't know either I don't understand how this town I run no one knows anything I how do you go about getting information on anything out of this town I sure hope they don't stop with all the investigations they have had going on good luck to this little Payton place this is my opi.nion

Nice place we filedl our application while we were there and a nice lady came out and interviewed us . Didn't have any puppy at that time. Was nice to know alot of the dogs were leaving next day to there forever homes.

I've adopted two pets from this shelter. They screen potential clients. These folks dedication so that these animals have a better tomorrow. So much abuse is seen that they have become there voice and advocate for them.
