Your average town grocery store, some have IGA, Bo's, Hills.. well this one is mostly like those. It does have self check out which surprised us. It was very simple to use. There is an hot food area. We wanted to try it because everyone talks good about hot plates at KJs but we weren't fans of it.Over to the side is where the bathrooms are & some tables if you choose to eat inside. The store was very clean & most employees were kind.

Went there tofay on sunday ,found a deal on a bag of chips 2 for 499,but got to check out and was told sale had ended, then i believe it should of been honored but no. They sent guy back and took sale down. And lady or manger ask cleark did you have someone take down.i shop there alot but this has left a bad taste in my mouth. It should of been honored and then taken down

We bought the KJ corn beef. Ruined the meal. Bought 5 pounds @ $5+ per pound. It was 3/4 fat. Never had a worse piece of corned beef. No attempt was made by KJs to trim at all. What a bad piece of meat. HUGE waste of money. Never again. Walmart from now on.

Customer service is terrible. Prices are so high compared to others. $7.19 for a pound of butter, $3.99 for a loaf of bread. This store should be shut down

So I would not have believed this, if I had not witnessed it, and heard it with my own eyes and ears ….. I was at KJ‘s IGA in Aynor this morning at 11:25. I was in line at the deli , and the man ahead of me, which was a friend of mine, got refused of an eight piece fried chicken. To no fault of the elderly lady that was working the register she asked him where they not any eight pieces under the warmer at that moment, he explained to her no mam. She asked the young lady at the deep fryer how long it would be for more chicken to be done. The lady said at least 45 minutes. The man then asked the elderly lady could he just get eight pieces of chicken that was already cooked in the deli which me and him both clearly saw that at least 50 pieces of chicken were done . It’s not like he was asking for all 50 pieces he just wanted eight pieces of chicken for his family and they refused to give it to him. And to top that off the lady frying more chicken said out loud she was not dealing with that today. My hat is off to him for telling him thank you and hope yall have a day. I really feel sorry for the elderly lady that was working the register this morning but with that being said, I love this small town, but I will refuse to ever do business at this grocery store again.PS I support all our local businesses, but KJ’s is not locally owned, nor operated anymore.

I’d initially given a five star review but the last few times I’ve been in here, it’s been different. The cashiers aren’t openly rude but on at least two occasions I’ve been made to feel like a bother. I do mask in public. I have tattoos. Maybe that contributes, maybe not. I haven’t experienced anything outright rude yet, hence the three stars, but im not as quick to stop in as I used to be either.FINALLY PROVED RIGHT- I was shopping the other day and a new cashier tried to tell me I had to take my mask off to purchase wine. (The only thing I ever bother to come in there for any more. For anything else I drive to Walmart and probably will go to Walmart for wine after this as well)💀 first of all, I had my ID out before i was even asked, second of all after I told her she can just compare the neck tattoos and she glanced down and said no, I need to just take the mask off (which if there’s someone wandering around that looks like me enough to my exact same tattoos visible on their drivers license, taking a mask off isn’t going to tell you which of us is which) and then tried to tell me I needed to find someone else to help me. Mind you, I did just that and her own coworker said she had no idea what Debra was talking about. Anyhow. I knew there was something funny going on, just no one was bold enough to come right out with some nonsense like that until now.To the owner: I did call in and tried to talk to a manager after being convinced to not let it go by my mother. The manager was nice but it was obvious he thought the whole thing was hilarious. I was told he’d talk to her. Debra doesn’t need to know why I wear the mask, but she has absolutely no authority to ask anyone to take it off and if that’s what she learned to do in training, she needs to be retrained.

Price gouging at it's finest. The food used to be affordable. Now the food cost 3x's more here then Walmart. Prices of Publix without the selection or the great customer service.

Prices on groceries are high, but they have no competition within 13 miles. Their produce is meh. I gave them stars for their hot lunch options.

This store has so much potential but the overall quality is bad. It’s convenient to shop here because it’s so close to home but it’s not worth it. The store always seems dirty and unkept. The produce section is sad with most everything being wilted and rotten. The meat quality could also be better. The beef is decent but most of the chicken product is tough and filthy. By the time you trim and clean it you’ve lost half of it. Healthier options like milk and yogurt are slim to none. They either don’t carry enough variety or it’s hardly ever restocked. I wish this store could live up to its potential!

I bought 2 gallons of Milo Tea, and took it to the Salem Baptist Church for the Hucks/Hux Family Reunion. I drank 2 glasses of the Tea, and it contains so much Caffeine, that I got Drunk on the Caffeine. And I didn't feel good and left the Reunion early.

I've always had great experiences up until these last couple months. The foods great! Prices okay! Tori the cashier however needs work on customer service. I don't get greeted not a bye or hello. I would've thought I was at the self checkout if she wasn't scanning my items. I understand people have off days but this has happened three times! She was fine with the gentleman infront of me. I'm not sure the issue I don't know her from the next person but something needs to be addressed. :)

Clean store, friendly staff, most things are priced well. Inventory has a few holes in it but overall a good place to shop.No special card needed and you get the discount price even buying 1 of the item. 👍

They are more pricier than other stores. Just for example is strawberries are almost $8 not unless they're on sale so you could imagine how much other stuff is. I live close to this store but I only go there if I don't feel like taking the drive to Walmart or food Lion. It's a very clean and positive store. Just too pricey for me ☺️

It's a ok grocery store .I figure since it's a local store it would've have fresh produce but they don't...The cucumbers I bought was not the best ...

It's an ok store for the local shoppers, but really don't carry many of the more popular brands, and don't take too many suggestions when it comes to enhancing the look of the store. The place looks dated to the 1960's, it appears the local community likes it just as it is. God forbid you should attract new costumers, with new ideas.

Nice little store! The lady in the bakery stopped what she was doing and wrote “Happy birthday” on my daughter’s cake! She was so nice. This is a quality that many people in other stores forget.

Produce is awful, soft potatoes in the bulk section mold on some of them, $9.19 for half and half store brand, cashiers are rude, way over priced, not much selection. They can do this in Aynor because it’s the only in town store!!! I will never shop here again!!

The fresh meat selection is the best available... no other store compares! The produce was excellent when they first opened but has not been great lately. Hope the spring/summer seasons help change that. Love the deli, just need bigger selection of fresh-slicable deli meats and cheeses! The cooked food is good at times & very lacking in flavor at other times-- depends on who's working. Fountain drink/tea area needs BIGGER cups!
