Update: Uromastyx died suddenly after being with us for just shy of two month... no idea why he eas fine the night before. But when I went to feed him the following morning he was dead.Wish they were more upfront about prices. Didn't know much about the uromastyx when I went but they were very honest about that. I am still very happy with the little guy and can't wait to take him by to say hi.

I have bought a leopard gecko and two rats from them. They are absolutely amazing and always the nicest people to just chat with. Any questions I have concerning my animals they are always happy to answer!!! I love the atmosphere that these two men have created!!! I literally shop at no other pet store for my crickets, worms, and rat food!!! The absolute best in twow!!

We had an absolute wonderful experience today. The lady who works there not only let my son touch 40+ different animals but she took the time to educate him on each of them. She was so attentive and knowledgeable, plus so patient with my kiddo. Thank you so much for loving your job and sharing that with others!

I wanted to love this place , But I won’t be back .Last Weekend I adopted 2 small female rats from the feeder bin . They both have URI’s and LICE ! And this morning I wake up to the sickest of them dead .Since Lice are extremely contagious and can spread quickly I have to treat my entire colony of rats (14) of them . And the medication is quite expensive .All around a terrible experience

I love their unique and interesting pets they have available ready to go to their new forever home. Christine is a pleasure to speak to and really shows how much she cares about the animals. I would definitely recommend that anyone who is looking for a new furry (or scaley) friend or supplies to pamper their pooches should check this place out!

This is the best pet store I've ever been to! Other pet stores don't even come close to the selection these guys have. They have pets that you will never see in any other pet store. They have rare fish, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals that you can't get anywhere else. They also have a great selection of supplies. These guys and their staff really have a passion for animals and that's what sets them apart from all the other pet stores.

I'm sorry to post this and I know it's a relatively new business but management needs to step it up and hire some assistance. The one lady that was working obviously had her hands full with the upkeep of all the animals. There's no reason for FLIES!!! to be covering any of the animals much less be present to do so. At least twice a shift, someone should be going through and cleaning habitats and giving fresh water and food where needed. I had to hold my breath at times while walking around. I literally felt ill at times when viewing some of the reptiles and even told my wife, who could see I was not happy with the place. Hopefully next time we're in the area we could stop in and see they finally got some help and some of the issues I've listed addressed.

Very happy with my experience with two guys.My family and I visited today all the way from shelby nc trying to find a pet shop with reptiles that actually care about and for them.Let me tell you they care for there animalsAnd very knowledgeable. If we asked a question he wasn't sure he found the answer.We bought a red uromastyx and he is happy and healthy. I will definitely be recommending to anyone who asks. And they have a great variety from leopard geckos to sand boas egg eaters arachnids monitors bearded baby ball pythons.

Before posting this review. I wanted to make sure of my opinion and this is just my opinion. I don't understand this pet stores pricing. I'm a reptile guy and in that I have to supply for their needs. So first trip I made to two guys pet store. I bought two big bags of reptibark. One of them was marked 19.99 the other was marked 20.00 now that's not bad five dollars less than what I normally pay. So I bought two bags. It's a nice clean store and I enjoyed my first visit. The csr was really personable and the environment is really laid back. I asked about a couple of animals and the price seemed a little high but ok gotta make a profit I get it.So today I go back cause I needed some f/t mice to feed my corn snakes. I go in and a different csr was working today still very nice. Didn't mind helping and I ask about mice and he explained they didn't have any on hand and they expected some in today. I asked how much the were he replied four or five dollars...ummm what!!!! One frozen mouse is 4 or 5 dollar's??? And he replied yes....at that price I couldn't afford to feed my reptiles considering from the normal pet store I go to they are 1.50 each...and usually get 45 to 50 worth every time I go. If I could give this two and a half stars I would. So I'm being generous at three. So all in all nice people. Good clean store nice enclosures and setups but beware of the pricing......

Well based off my first time there. They have alot of the stuff reptcon has just way higher and most of the animals in the shop or coolest ant for sale. Take them home then .. if it's in a shop it's got a price.none of your animals can not be sold in the state of south Carolina. .you may buy from reptcon but you ant got enough to sell there. Been there ever year .. Thank you. But ever animal in that shop can be sold in the state of SC.

I am struggling with this review. I would ideally give no stars, but that's not possible. My husband visited the store previously with no complaints of care for the animals. But just a few weeks later I found a dead pacman frog in a critter keeper. Not just dead, but petrified. Another critter keeper had something moldy in it. All of the critter keepers had very dry moss and reptibark. Pacman frogs need very wet coco fiber substrate along with the moss. The young man working didn't seem concerned when I pointed this out to him. He stated he would have to speak with their supplier. The young man also didn't seem very knowledgeable about the tarantulas that were also on display with these frogs. He then left us to browse on our own. I appreciate a laid back shopping experience, but was unable to ask any questions due to him being in the very back room. The next room had a very strong unpleasant odor. The cockatiel cage in the front window had the same odor. There were 4 puppies in a stainless steel cage in the corner that had no bedding, water or food. They also had a strong unpleasant odor. The cage with two chickens in the middle of the room needed cleaning. More concerning were the reptiles further in the room. The cages for the chameleons, had no misters or drip system. The Jackson chameleon appeared to be having a hard time shedding because of being so dry. This can be painful. I didn't see water dishes in any reptile enclosure other than the mangrove monitors. The back room has large fish displays. These seemed to be cleanest of all. In one corner is a tub with very green murky water that had a turtle in it. The label was for a side neck but that didn't appear to be what was in the tub. Over all the store itself seemed clean and clutter free. Mostly the enclosures seemed clean. Many of the animals weren't being kept correctly or didn't have all the essentials needs. The prices for the reptiles and tarantulas were very high. Higher than ordering online and paying for delivery. During our whole visit, except for when we first entered and the bell brought him to the front, the young man working spent his time talking to the 1 other customer. He made little effort to speak to us or offer any assistance. I found the whole experience upsetting and disturbing.

The lady who works there was so knowledgeable a true animal lover customer service above and beyond also a vast variety of animals you get to hold and see animals hands on not like at Petco where not as helpful or detailed best pet store make that trip

Wouldn't buy dog food from them cause its almost double walmarts price but other than that the store is very clean, the animals are healthy , and above all the customer service is fantastically above and beyond. I will definitely be going back and look forward to it.

They didn't have dog crates, so I was only in for 1 minute. They seem nice. They had a lot of aquariums, if that helps.
